PHP - How Can I Block Remote Post To A Form?
Hi there,
I'm running a php based website and I'm getting a lot of remotely posts to the forms. Is any way to prevent this using php or .htacces. Any tip o a site from where I should start? Thank you in advance. Similar TutorialsA couple months back, I asked on a gaming forum if anyone knew of a website that would track your *Steam Wishlist and email you when one of your wishlist games went on sale. No one at the time knew of a **solution, so I decided to buy "PHP, MySQL and Javascript" and try to roll my own. I managed to get the basics working. After the basics, I started thinking about fun stuff I could do with the data I collected from Steam regarding the games that go on sale regularly. The first part of my code file_get_content's the ***sale page(s) of games, and sucks out the games name, regular price, sale price, and the games homepage URL on Steam. This is enough to accomplish my basic task. The second part is where I need help, and that's getting more details on the game. The additional details I want to get about the game include its Publisher and Developer, and to get that detail I need to go to the games homepage URL I previously got from the global sale page. The issue is this: Some games have an age-restriction limitation, and you have to fill out a date form before entering the games homepage. An example of one of those pages would be: http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/1250/ I want to be able to POST a legal age to the above URL, and then (this is where I'm hazy) "re-load" the same URL, authorized by my previous POST. Is that possible? * Steam is a digital download service for computer games. ** Subsequently, there was another website found. But I was well into developing my solution and having fun. *** Example: http://store.steampowered.com/search/?specials=1 Have a friend that has a form and can post to my domain from a remote domain. How do i stop this? I am setting up an API for my users, and the user sends post data via cURL. Is there a way I can see what site that the post data is coming from? would $_SERVER['REMOTE_HOST'] work? I am not using that to validate information. Hey! Can anyone help with this, is it possible to make a post to a remote website, so when the use runs the script it will post some information to a remote server and then grab some info it gets back in a get request or something along those lines? Hope someone can guide me to more info thanks! Hi all, I am new here and I really thank God that I found this forum! I have read the materials here on working with cURL on javascript-form-submission pages. However, I can't to get my script to work. Can anybody here please help me out or drop me a hint on where to correct my script? ==Situation== My company utilizes http://www.myfax.com/free/ to send our company faxes. My task is to write a code that would submit files for faxes electronically. Note: The site also requires e-mail confirmation but I haven't get to that stage yet. I have run tests on submitting fax requests both by code and manually through the site, and have confirmed that the code doesn't work on the submission level because I managed to receive confirmation e-mails for manual submissions. Also, I tried my script with different staff email addresses because I figured out that it blocks only the same e-mail address from sending more than 2 faxes a day. I am working with a form that shows the grand total on the checkout page. The value of the grand total is inside a hidden field. When click on submit, the _POST array doesn't get back the last value of the grand total. I need to hit the button twice to get the last value. The weird thing is when I echo the value of the grand total it display the latest value, but not with the POST array
For example. If the grand total is $10.00 and I click on submit. It will show the POST['grand_total'] as empty. If I click on submit again it will show the grand total of $10.00.
Below is my code that I am working with. Any help would be really appreciated.

I want to type in number in my local form text field and then post it to remote form and retrieve data. I know how to retrieve data from local mysql, but don't know how to retrieve it from remote form. Remote form: http://www.otto.de/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/Otto-OttoDe-Site/de_DE/-/EUR/PV_DirectOrder-Start?ls=0#lmPromo=la,3,hk,home,fl,Sidebar_Bestellen Working number: 31477682 I want to type in 31477682 on my local text field and retrieve data(price, color, status like "lieferbar") from another domain. Sounds a bit long winded in the name so i'll explain... I'm coding a site where the user inputs their vehicle reg, and submits the form. The site will then show their car's details. This is being done using an external service that provides an up to date database of vehicle details. So far, i've got the form and when you submit it, it returns the vehicle data in an XML, but the XML it displays is remote. I need to retrieve the details back to the website to display on the page. Here is what I have already: Code: [Select] <html> <head> <title>Reg Test Page</title> </head> <body> <form method="post" action="https://www.****.com/UAT/"> <input type="hidden" name="ESERIES_FORM_ID" value="B2INT"> <input type="hidden" name="MXIN_USERNAME" value="****"><br /> <input type="hidden" name="MXIN_PASSWORD" value="****"><br/> REG<input type="text" name="MXIN_VRM" value="REG NUM"><br /> <input type="hidden" name="MXIN_TRANSACTIONTYPE" value="03"><br /> <input type="hidden" name="MXIN_PAYMENTCOLLECTIONTYPE" value="02"><br /> <input type="hidden" name="MXIN_CAPCODE" value="1"><br /> <input type="submit" /> </form> </body> </html> I've ***'d out some details for obvious reason. The form currently works fine and returns a valid XML response, but it's remote. My original plan was to get the form to load up in another php file that processes the detail and sends a file_get_contents() request, but looking at the results page on the xml, there is no extension to the posted url and if you go directly to it, you get the error "METHOD NOT ALLOWED. ONLY 'POST' IS ALLOWED." The other issue I have is that i'm not sure how it's handling the request, and the url is not modified, so i'm not sure how i'd set an url with values to retrieve it? Any help is gratefully received. Cheers Guys. I have a html form that submits to another website. Everything works fine in firefox and chrome however the data is duplicated in IE. Is there some quirk in IE when submitting a form to a different website? Hey

I suspect it may have to do with the javascript in the index.html file, but I can't nail it down. Thanks. Hi all, not sure if this belongs in the Javascript section or PHP... I have a 3 pages, Index.php, a Javascript file and my display.php page. My Index page has a list of inputs which populate the variables in my javascript file when exectued, the javascript file then uses these variables to perform simple mathematical calculations and then displays the data using the innerHTML function back on my index page. From the index page I need to then post all my values, including these in the innerHTML div's as a POST array to my display.php only im unsure where to start. Hopefully thaat makes sense, would anybody have any idea on how to do this? Thanks Ok so I've got trouble with a form I'm creating, I've got this: <form id="login" name="login" action="URL" method="post"> and then Input fields like: <input tabindex="3" type="text" class="login-field" name="acc.username" id="login-username" value="" maxlength="48"/> Now, if I go and submit that, and on the "URL" page I've had it echo $_POST['acc.username'] but it doesn't echo anything. I think it may be a problem with the form itself.. although I can't see one. The code I got for URL: <?PHP include('global.php'); if(isset($_POST['acc.username'])) { echo "lol"; } else { echo mysql_error(); } ?> How can i make a send POST FORM from this api: http://pub.tapulous.com/tapplications/coresocial/v1/chat/api/index.php?method=message_send&session={"device_id":+"03decef7aad6fb64fb5c5ed3f1d35a3d16413e490a2874",+"room":+"Songs%253AExtreme"}&message= message here Thanks people In my invoice system im trying to carry information from 1 page to another, witch i have been successful with, now I am trying to alter table rows on my data tables I need to send the same account number and invoice number, how can i achieve this without putting the account number and invoice number inside a form element? why doesn't this work? Code: [Select] <form action="<? echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="post"> <input type="text" id="name" name="name" size="20" /></p> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit" alt="Submit" /> </form> <? if($name != "") { $xml = simplexml_load_file("invoice.xml"); $sxe = new SimpleXMLElement($xml->asXML()); $itemsNode = $sxe->data[0]; $main = $itemsNode->addChild(inv); $sub = $main->addChild("name", $name); $sxe->asXML("invoice.xml"); } ?> The existing xml file looks like this: Code: [Select] <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <root> <data> <inv> <name>Sally Prince</name> </inv> </data> </root> And, my intention is is I fill out the form with "Bill Gates" the xml will become: Code: [Select] <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <root> <data> <inv> <name>Sally Prince</name> </inv> <inv> <name>Bill Gates</name> </inv> </data> </root> Also if I just set Code: [Select] $name = "Bill Gates" it works.. but the form will not pass the data to the xml.. what am I missing? Thanks! I have created a Post php form, It send two emails, One email to the user after they submit the form and other to me. Now the users will fill up the form in arabic and a confirmation email will be sent to them in arabic also...I tested my form, I get the confirmation email in arabic, its fine, but the data tht the user inputs in arabic on the form comes to my email with strange characters.....i want to receive the data entered by user in arabic.
