PHP - Server Validation In Sending Email Using Php
Hello guys,
I just want to ask if someone can share me codes in php where i can validate the connection of the mail server. I am going to trap this error: Quote Warning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver.... Instead of this message showing, I want it to be formal. It will be like this: Quote You cannot connect to you're mail server. Please contact the administrator. And lastly I want to have a validation if an email is existing or not. I want a script which checks first the email if it is existing before sending the message. I hope someone will post their idea here. Thanks in Advance. --CHILL Similar TutorialsFrom our website we are connecting to GMAIL to send our emails through SMTP. For some reason it is not sending the emails to the CC or BCC email address event though GMAIL shows it was included in the email. Am I missing something in the below code? Code: [Select] Hi, I am calling the sms service provider server with the following code $url = $urlAccount_home."?username=".$userAccount."&password=".$passAccount."&number=".$number."&sender=".$userSenderSMS."&msg=".$msg; if (!($fp =fopen($url,"r"))) echo "<br><center>خطا في الاتصال </center><br>"; $result =fread($fp,10); fclose($fp); When sending sms to 1 person no problem, but when sending sms to more than 1 person example for a group, i will poll the serve in loop... what am afraid is calling the server more than once continuously, wont affect the service? I have this XML... Code: [Select] $xml = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>' . '<LeadImportDatagram>'. '<CompanyKey>' . $companyKey . '</CompanyKey>' . '<NotificationEmailTo>garysaldutti@gmail.com</NotificationEmailTo>' . '<LeadInfo>'; '<City>Osweeego</City>'; '</LeadInfo>' . '</LeadImportDatagram>'; and I need to use PHP to submit that XML to a remote server at a address in this format (http://XX.XXX.XXX.XXX/xml/importlead.asp) so that the remote server can process the info. Can anyone out there tell me how to do that? It seems like I have to use cURL and I've tried multiple times but keep getting "bad request" errors. SIDE NOTE: Is my syntax wrong? Someone else helped me write that $xml variable, but it seems weird to me that some lines end with periods and some end with semicolons. I wish to create validation rules once which are used both on the client and on the server.
For instance, I will start off with the following PHP object:
stdClass Object ( [rules] => stdClass Object ( [email] => stdClass Object ( [required] => 1 [email] => 1 [remote] => stdClass Object ( [url] => check-email.php [type] => post [data] => stdClass Object ( [username] => function() {return $( '#username' ).val();} ) ) ) ) [messages] => stdClass Object ( [email] => stdClass Object ( [required] => an email is required ) ) )When the edit page is downloaded to the client, I will include this object in some format suitable to the client. The client will then use the jQuery Validation plugin (http://jqueryvalidation.org/) along with the validation object, and client side validate the page. When the form passes client side validation and is uploaded, PHP will use the same validation object to serverside validate the form (I have this part working as desired). My question is how should I pass this data to the client? Originally, I would just use PHP to write some JavaScript. exit('var myObj='.json_encode($myObj));Note that when I json_encode the object, the value of $myObj->rules->email->remote->data->username is a string with quotes around it, however, I can easily use PHP to strip these tags before sending it to the client. As Jacques1 pointed out in http://forums.phpfre...ascript-client/, I should never ever use PHP to generate JavaScript, and should use AJAX to download the JSON directly. I tried doing the later, but found that a callback function could not be included in the JSON. Please advise on the best way to accomplish this. Thank you Hey guys, Coding something for a survey as no solution exists for our needs. I have not finished the code as I still need to do error checks + making it spam proof. This would be done while connected on WiFi, lets say in a coffee shop. Thanx |
