By using one of the emails that exist in the control panel as a sender/"from" header, you will be able to authenticate yourself and the SMTP server will send without problems. and provided this script, which works: <? $from = "From: You <contact@myemail.com>"; $to = "anymail@hotmail.com"; $subject = "Hi2! "; $body = "TEST"; if(mail($to,$subject,$body,$from)) echo "MAIL - OK"; else echo "MAIL FAILED"; ?> so can someone help me fix the code in the first quote I posted based on this last working one ? A few things maybe worth a mention: - previously, about a few weeks back, this form (first two quotes) was working perfectly as I've posted it and sending emails to my hotmail account without a hitch... - in the quotes "contact@myemail.com" is actually the domain email I have with the host thanks to anyone kind enough to help out... I really need some help. I am very new to PHP and I've been stuck for a couple of days. I created a contact form and everything seems to be working correctly, except the mail is showing it's sent, but I never receive an email in my Inbox or Spam folder. Can someone please review my code? Here is the PHP: <?php // DEFINE VARIABLE AND SET EMPTY VALUES $varfnameErr = $varlnameErr = $varemailErr = $varphoneErr = $varpositionErr = ""; $varfname = $varlname = $varemail = $varphone = $varposition = $success = ""; //FORM SUBMITTED WITH POST METHOD if ($_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"] == "POST") { //VALIDATE FIRST NAME if (empty($_POST["varfname"])) { $varfnameErr = "First Name is required"; } else { $varfname = test_input($_POST["varfname"]); // MAKE SURE FIRST NAME ONLY CONTAINS LETTERS AND WHITE SPACE if (!preg_match("/^[a-zA-Z ]*$/",$varfname)) { $varfnameErr = "Only letters and white space are allowed"; } } //VALIDATE LAST NAME if (empty($_POST["varlname"])) { $varlnameErr = "Last Name is required"; } else { $varlname = test_input($_POST["varlname"]); // MAKE SURE LAST NAME ONLY CONTAINS LETTERS AND WHITE SPACE if (!preg_match("/^[a-zA-Z ]*$/",$varlname)) { $varlnameErr = "Only letters and white space are allowed"; } } //VALIDATE EMAIL ADDRESS if (empty($_POST["varemail"])) { $varemailErr = "Email Address is required"; } else { $varemail = test_input($_POST["varemail"]); // MAKE SURE EMAIL ADDRESS IS FORMATTED CORRECTLY if (!filter_var($varemail, FILTER_VALIDATE_EMAIL)) { $varemailErr = "Invalid email address format"; } } //VALIDATE PHONE NUMBER if (empty($_POST["varphone"])) { $varphoneErr = "Phone number is required"; } else { $varphone = test_input($_POST["varphone"]); // MAKE SURE PHONE NUMBER IS IN CORRECT FORMAT if (!preg_match("/^(\d[\s-]?)?[\(\[\s-]{0,2}?\d{3}[\)\]\s-]{0,2}?\d{3}[\s-]?\d{4}$/i",$varphone)) { $varphoneErr = "Invalid telephone format"; } } //VALIDATE POSITION if (empty($_POST["varposition"])) { $varpositionErr = "Position is required"; } else { $varposition = test_input($_POST["varposition"]); } //IF ALL DATA IS CORRECT if ($varfnameErr == '' and $varlnameErr == '' and $varemailErr == '' and $varphoneErr == '' and $varpositionErr == '') { $message_body = ''; unset($_POST['submit']); //THIS IS JUST FOR TESTING PURPOSES $message_body = $varfname; //foreach ($_POST as $key => $value) { // $message_body .= "$key: $value\n"; //} $to = 'mygmail@gmail.com'; $subject = 'Volunteer Form Submission'; $message = wordwrap($message_body, 70); $headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . It's all working perfectly fine, but when the email is received (sent from the online form), and I open my email and click reply, there are two email addresses. The correct one (which I entered when I sent the email), and my ftp username for the site?? I've got three files that could effect this, but I was unable to locate any problems: mailer.php ( smtp send mail class) mail.php ( submission data: title, subject, etc. ) contact_form.php ( form for submission ) I am only including the file which I think is applicable (mail.php), but let me know if you would also like to see the mailer.php class. I suppose you would normally do this with JavaScript, but since I don't know that, I am looking for a PHP solution for now. Thanks. Hello, I have a simple PHP form that sends the results as a message to my email address. The form is composed only of text areas and text fields. All works well until I try to introduce radio buttons. When I get the message the result is blank. This is the form:

Your Name:

<input type="text" class="validate[required,custom[onlyLetter]]" name="name" id="name" value="<?=$_SESSION['post']['name']?>" />

Your Email Address:

<input type="text" class="validate[required,custom[email]]" name="email" id="email" value="<?=$_SESSION['post']['email']?>" />

How can we help you

<?=$_SESSION['post']['message']?>

Preferred method of contact:

By Email:<input name="<?=$_SESSION['post']['contact']?>" id="contact-email" type="radio" value="Email" checked /> By Phone:<input name="<?=$_SESSION['post']['contact']?>" id="contact-phone" type="radio" value="Phone" />

Security Question: <?=$_SESSION['n1']?> + <?=$_SESSION['n2']?> =

 <?=$str?>

 <?=$success?> And this is the submit.php file it refers to: <?php /* config start */ $emailAddress = 'email@gmail.com'; /* config end */ require "phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php"; session_name("fancyform"); session_start(); foreach($_POST as $k=>$v) { if(ini_get('magic_quotes_gpc')) $_POST[$k]=stripslashes($_POST[$k]); $_POST[$k]=htmlspecialchars(strip_tags($_POST[$k])); } $err = array(); if(!checkLen('name')) $err[]='The name field is too short or empty!'; if(!checkLen('email')) $err[]='The email field is too short or empty!'; else if(!checkEmail($_POST['email'])) $err[]='Your email is not valid!'; if((int)$_POST['captcha'] != $_SESSION['expect']) $err[]='The captcha code is wrong!'; if(count($err)) { if($_POST['ajax']) { echo '-1'; } else if($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']) { $_SESSION['errStr'] = implode('
',$err); $_SESSION['post']=$_POST; header('Location: '.$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']); } exit; } $msg= 'Name: '.$_POST['name'].'
Email: '.$_POST['email'].'
Message: '.$_POST['message'].'
Contact by: '.$_POST['contact'].' I'm definitely not good at PHP so any help cracking this problem would be welcome. Thank you. I apologize if I am in the wrong forum so I hope somebody can help. I have a function which sends an emails to client everytime an order is processed. They have asked me to add a print button in the emails so they could just print the email. I have tried using javascript and call the window.print function but when I click the button nothing happens. I know that it is possible to add a print button in an email but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Here is some of the code use to create the email using paypal ipn script. Code: [Select] $body = "
". "
". "". "
". "
". "Print Page
". "
Customer Name: ".$name."
"; foreach($id_str_array as $key => $value){ $id_quantity_pair = explode(":", $value); $product_id = $id_quantity_pair[0]; // Get the product ID $cameo_color = $id_quantity_pair[1]; $product_quantity = $id_quantity_pair[2]; // Get the quantity $product_line1 = $id_quantity_pair[3]; // Get Line 1 $product_line2 = $id_quantity_pair[4]; // Get Line 2 $product_picture = $id_quantity_pair[5]; // Get picture $discount_code = $id_quantity_pair[6]; $body .= "Product: ".$product_id."
". "Quantity: ".$product_quantity."
". "Engraving Line 1: ".$product_line1."
". "Engraving Line 2: ".$product_line2."
". "Your picture:
"; } $body .= "Total: $".$_POST['mc_gross']."

"; $subject = "Transaction Completed"; $mailer->SendPayPalInfo($subject, $body); I tried just calling the javascript print function with a link and aslo create a function and called the function from the button and neither of these methods work. here is the code which send the message out. Code: [Select] function SendPayPalInfo($subject, $body){ $headers = "From: " .EMAIL_FROM_ADDR. "\r\n"; $headers .= "Reply-To: ".EMAIL_FROM_ADDR."\r\n"; $headers .= "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n"; $headers .= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1\r\n"; return mail(EMAIL_FROM_ADDR, $subject, $body, $headers); } Am I missing something in the headers of am I coding this wrong?
