How do i put the code into my website. Do i store the code in mysql? and how do i get php to display it? Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this question, but I'll still post it. I'm a newbie programmer, have 1 year experience of php, mysql and html and know how to make a basic website, but I've never actually uploaded the already written code on the internet.So my question is, if you use vertrigo serv and have folders full of php files, what do you do after getting a domain? I read that dreamweaver does that for you, but i also read that it is a closed source software with limitations if you get the free version.The other choice is using FileZilla(which I don't fully understand yet ) i presume.
Before you say about trying to use curl and fsockopen...I have tried those already but my host does not allow it due to their settings on their php.ini file. I am wondering if there is a way (other than those above) to grab the latest videos from a specific user on youtube, and be able to display them on a website, such as grabbing information about the video, as well as displaying it. If this is at all possible, and you can help...thanks in advance. Hello everyone i have a quick question to ask if i may. On my website i have a presentation video on my homepage, with another 1 just made. What i want to do is when people view my website they see the first video as usual but after that finishes i would like it to switch to the next video which will then replace the first video is that possible in php? This topic has been moved to Other. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=344932.0 Can you upload videos to a mysql database? If so how would you go about doing it? When i am uploading under 2 MB file, it is successfully uploaded but when i am trying to upload bigger file then its showing failed to upload issue... my code is following....please help me to get out of this situation... Code: [Select] <?php function UploadOne($fname) { $uploaddir = 'uploadedfiles/'; if (is_uploaded_file($fname['tmp_name'])) { $filname = basename($fname['name']); $uploadfile = $uploaddir . basename($fname['name']); if (move_uploaded_file ($fname['tmp_name'], $uploadfile)) $res = "File " . $filname . "was successfully uploaded and stored. Upload More<br>"; include ('../config.php'); mysql_query("INSERT INTO videos (id, path, name, title, content) VALUES ('$_POST[id]', 'url/$filname', '$_POST[date]', '$_POST[title]' , '$_POST[content]')"); $data = mysql_query('SELECT * FROM videos ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 1'); $info = mysql_fetch_array($data); $res = "<strong>$info[title]</strong>," . "\n Sucessfully Uploaded. \n Upload more". "<br>" . "<a href='../videos.php'>View Videos</a>"; } else $res = "File ".$fname['name']." failed to upload."; return ($res); } ?> Thanks in advance... I embed YouTube videos on my site.
The problem is, the videos often get deleted by the user, which means that the videos obviously become unavailable on my site.
This happens often, which means that I regularly have to look through my site, find unavailable videos and delete them.
I am looking for an automated way of doing this.
Here's what I've got so far:
<?php $con = mysql_connect("", "", ""); mysql_select_db(""); $qry = "SELECT video_id FROM `table`"; $run = mysql_query($qry, $con); while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($run)) { $headers = get_headers("http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/{$row['video_id']}"); if(!strpos($headers[0], '200')) { echo "Unavailable: {$row['video_id']}<br />"; return false; } else { echo "Available: {$row['video_id']}<br />"; } } ?>The code's very slow and doesn't work. It produces a list of available videos and then stops when it finds one that is unavailable. The problem is, the video that it says is unavailable is usually available, which means that it's getting it wrong. Is there a faster, more accurate way of doing it? Basically, I want a fast and accurate way of checking the availability of the thousands of videos in my database and I want to produce a list of the ones that are unavailable. This topic has been moved to JavaScript Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=320518.0 I have code written for image uploading, but it doesn't allow multiple images on a single upload, and doesn't re-size. Anyone willing to share a good upload script that will do the following?: -Allow multiple image uploads (10+ per submission), -Re-size images on upload, and -Rename images. Thanks Brett Hi everyone, I have a page that i use to upload images to my website, i got a bit fed up of uploading one at a time so i decided to add multiple file fields to the form to upload multiple images at the same time. Im having a few problems, iv read up he http://www.php.net/manual/en/features.file-upload.multiple.php and it seems all i have to do is add [] to the form names to turn them into arrays. However when i come to upload the images, i keep getting the "$error[] = "Incorrect format!...." error from the code below. I cant seem to figure out what the problem is. I have approximately 2,300 videos embedded on my site, and I am constantly adding more. The videos are hosted by YouTube. When a video is deleted from YouTube, it becomes unavailable on my site. Each video's ID is in my MySQL database. A video ID looks like this: ZFOuxAx-dkc I need a script that will do the following: select the IDs from my database check if the videos are still available on YouTube create a list of the videos that are unavailable. If possible, it would be great if the script could also tell me if any of the videos have been blocked in certain countries. The script has to be fully commented so that I can understand it. I want to run the script manually every few days. I don't want to have to change my database tables. I've been told that you can use YouTube's API or YouTube's oEmbed interface. I've also been told that, because there are so many videos, you will have to use cURL multi handles. If interested in this project, please PM me your price. This is an urgent project. I have placed ads elsewhere. files that upload during insert/submit form was gone , only files upload during the update remain , is the way query for update multiple files is wrong ? $targetDir1= "folder/pda-semakan/ic/"; if(isset($_FILES['ic'])){ $fileName1 = $_FILES['ic']['name']; $targetFilePath1 = $targetDir1 . $fileName1; //$main_tmp2 = $_FILES['ic']['tmp_name']; $move2 =move_uploaded_file($_FILES["ic"]["tmp_name"], $targetFilePath1); } $targetDir2= "folder/pda-semakan/sijil_lahir/"; if(isset($_FILES['sijilkelahiran'])){ $fileName2 = $_FILES['sijilkelahiran']['name']; $targetFilePath2 = $targetDir2 . $fileName2; $move3 =move_uploaded_file($_FILES["sijilkelahiran"]["tmp_name"], $targetFilePath2); } $targetDir3= "folder/pda-semakan/sijil_spm/"; if(isset($_FILES['sijilspm'])){ $fileName3 = $_FILES['sijilspm']['name']; $targetFilePath3 = $targetDir3 . $fileName3; $move4 =move_uploaded_file($_FILES["sijilspm"]["tmp_name"], $targetFilePath3); } $query1=("UPDATE semakan_dokumen set student_id='$noMatrik', email= '$stdEmail', surat_tawaran='$fileName', ic='$fileName1',sijil_lahir='$fileName2',sijil_spm= '$fileName3' where email= '$stdEmail'");
I'm trying to make a League of Legends (a video game) community website, both as a personal project and for practice. Now the game has a lot of champions, each of whom have 5 unique abilities. Now, I thought about manually inputting all the details about each champion into a MySQL database, but that would long and tedious, and I don't really have the time for it now. Also, the game patches very oftern (like, once every 2 weeks) which changes many of the stats, etc. of the champion, and it is not possible for me to keep manually updating these every time there is a patch. Fortunately, there is a League of Legends Wiki which has all the data I need in their specific champion pages, which they keep updated per patch. So I was wondering if there was any way to get the data from the divs in the wiki, and have it display on my site. What I want to do in my website is that whenever someone types a champion's name (in a post or whatever), I want it to display a hover-over dialog with some of the champions details. And a lot of other features such as that. In plain English I need a way to : > Tell PHP to go to the wiki's source code on a specific page > Find a specific div container > Get X data from there > Pass X data into a function to display the hover-over I think this way, I would not have to maintain a database as I can leech off the wiki's data. I have not coded anything like this before, so I would like a few pointers as to how to achieve this. Any help will be appreciated! hello My database is in a same server with seperate domain name , then I want to insert from website1 mysql data on website2 mysql data. can anyone help me? I tried searching on google but couldn't find any relevant information, please redirect me to relevant source or help me with the code. I want to pass a domain name in text field which will be scanned and then the script will display entire site map. Not external links or links on a page. Sorry it is not easy for me to explain. Eg. if i pass abc.com Script will display abc.com/12/adn.php abc.com/asd/asd/ etc Whatever their url format is. All the links on that domain. |
