PHP - How To Embed Youtube Videos On Your Website

Ok I have a unique issue I have a decent sized database for a fix up and modify project I just landed. My problem is my client has a table with plain html, flash, javascript it in. Which generally speaking isn't to much a problem if I we're going the straight php route to get the data from the database. However I'm not so lucky. These people wish to have the element being built by me to use AJAX to give the site a "2.0" feel, which again to a point fine. So all this said and done, I am going using jQuery as my frame for the javascript. The landing page for the script is PHP it handles any potential user input checks before it works its way into the javascript variables to then use JSON through the javascript to another php file which in turn double checks the inputs just incase someone wants to go in to the source find the way to the file its gathering the data from an all else. Then based on the data forms its output. Which I don't know why Ive wasted my time explaining that, we all know how JSON works in concept at least.

My issue with this all is, a single column or 2 but ill stick with just the one for now... with these people having stored plain html, javascript, and object tags for flash in the column without any htmlspecialchars or stripslash's or really any security per say in mind. In other words I can go into any column and just copy and paste the code and have it work in an HTML file as if it were typed out for use in HTML alone. So with that, my JSON requests are failing due to the extra quotes, double quotes, slashes, and all else. What I am trying to figure out is, what is my best method to phrase the output of the DB so its friendly for for the JSON request yet can be repieced back together via javascript/jquery.

Any takers on that idea?

I am looking for a code where I can get a video URL from Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook and convert it to an embedded video to be shown on my site. I found a script that does that. It works fine.

The only errors I get are in the inspect element window in the browser. Errors such as this.

          I read somewhere that it is possible for users to be able to upload videos to a website via youtube api intergration. I have no idea how this works, and have tryed the tutorial on the API site. Could anyone give me an example or an easier way that users can upload videos to my website, thanks.

I'm currently creating an online campaign whereby customers use QR codes to link to a created website with interesting youtube video on.

At the moment I've just created a simple link to the chosen content

However I've come across Youtube API Standard feeds on the Youtube Reference Guide. http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/2.0/reference.html

It states you can 'send a GET request to the URL associated with that feed', however, I've never really touched php before. Could anyone give me advise on how I would link say the Top rated feed to my site using https://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/standardfeeds/top_rated Would that be difficult?

Hello everyone i have a quick question to ask if i may.

On my website i have a presentation video on my homepage, with another 1 just made. What i want to do is when people view my website they see the first video as usual but after that finishes i would like it to switch to the next video which will then replace the first video is that possible in php?

Can you upload videos to a mysql database? If so how would you go about doing it?

When i am uploading under 2 MB file, it is successfully uploaded but when i am trying to upload bigger file then its showing failed to upload issue... my code is following....please help me to get out of this situation...

I have approximately 2,300 videos embedded on my site, and I am constantly adding more. The videos are hosted by YouTube. When a video is deleted from YouTube, it becomes unavailable on my site.

Each video's ID is in my MySQL database. A video ID looks like this:

I need a script that will do the following: select the IDs from my database check if the videos are still available on YouTube create a list of the videos that are unavailable. If possible, it would be great if the script could also tell me if any of the videos have been blocked in certain countries.

The script has to be fully commented so that I can understand it.

I want to run the script manually every few days. I don't want to have to change my database tables.

I've been told that you can use YouTube's API or YouTube's oEmbed interface. I've also been told that, because there are so many videos, you will have to use cURL multi handles.

The application that I want to build is quite simple. Here is a bit of the background of the work flow:

In my company, we create video for our client profile. After the video is done, we upload the video to our website and to youtube. It is done automatically.

After a period of time, the client can delete the video. Of course, it will delete the video in our system as well as the video in youtube. For now, the video in our system is deleted automatically. However, youtube video is deleted manually.

Our company has grown to have quite a lot of clients. It's hard for us to keep track clients that requested to delete their videos. We want to be able to have an application that will delete youtube video automatically.

I already tried to play around with youtube authentication in http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/2.0/developers_guide_php.html#Authentication but I have no luck with the authentication.

I want the application to be able to delete the video under my youtube account without having me to login to youtube. In my case right now, every time the application wants to delete the video, I have to send the request to youtube and ask for verification (i.e. I have to do application verification every time).

So, what I need basically is to know
1. how can I store the authentication after I verify it from youtube?
2. What function to populate after I store the authentication? <- I couldn't figure where this part is in the documentation.
