PHP - Php && Get Method, Sending Variables?

Appreciate the help! Similar TutorialsSo, I have what I think is an odd question. I have a function that contains a for loop. Within that for loop, it checks for a new condition and if it is true, it calls the very function it's already in. So, within the for loop inside of function "a", it can call function "a" with new arguments which will then start a new for loop to be "nested" to the previous for loop, in a way. My problem is trying to keep the values of the variables so that once the new for loop (or loops) finish, the previous for loop won't be stopped up by the new variable values that have since changed. Make sense? So, two questions: 1. How do I lock in values that make them unique to that very call of that function and keep them unique through further iterated versions? 2. I imagine, in theory, that for loops stay in memory in state as a new "instance" of that same for loop runs through, right? Basically, is what I'm doing possible in that a for loop calls itself, in essence, to create a new "instance" of that for loop, then when it finishes, have the previous loop continue iterating? For question #1, I've already thought about using variable variables, but that doesn't work because every time the function is called, the variable variable will change to new values based on the new arguments and instantiating the function again. I'm kind of looking for a way to make unique "instances" of a method that don't mess with future calls to that method and where future calls don't mess with currently iterating loops in that method. In mysql ive got a table with information regarding my photo gallery (columns are like 'id' 'location' 'date' 'uploader' ect) I am using php to pick 5 random pictures and return those 5 picture locations into 5 different php variables. NOW MY ISSUE: How can I send those 5 php variables into flash (as3) as 5 as3 variables??? Any help would be appreciated! ...to obtain an id_item users doesn´t know and I need to send to the DB

Mind you, I've altered and butchered my code several times trying to find why it's not sending anything even though it says it does.

Here are the project of files: So the problem I'm running into is, while php ---> php is fine (it's recovering all of my variables, I've tested with echo), the problem seems to be where I have made a command ./createlisting.sh $itemno $title $header $description $image It reads in $itemno, $title, $header $description just fine, but it fails when I try to send an image. Again I've echoed it out and my $image variable contains the correct image name. When it gets sent to the bash script and the bash script sends it to a "log.txt" it only shows $1 thru $4, excluding the $5. When I try to use the img src to create the image on the page, the outputting echo on the page is <img src ="/images/" /> Which of course is going to result in nothing. What advice can you guys offer me? This works fine to bring back everything on the processing page in one go but I want to bring back separated variables so I can use them individually. I thought that changing
"Returned: " +htmlto "Returned: " +html.namewould allow me to bring back just that variable but it comes back undefined. This is the closest I have got as other methods I tried either brought nothing back or just [objectObject]. I have some code which needs to return a single variable from the function and stored as a variable within this page, so it can be echoed later on in the page. I couldn't get it to return as a variable, so i used "return compact();" to return the variable and "extract (myFunction());" to extract it to variables. But what i need to do is, first check to see if the author already exists in the People table, if so then just INSERT into PeopleCon, ELSE INSERT into both People and PeopleCon... Also if there are 4 authors, and 2 exist in People, and 2 do not. What needs to happen is the first 2 are simply inserted into PeopleCon, but the last 2 are INSERTED into both People and PeopleCon.
