PHP - How To Export Into File On Client

Goodevening.Thuis is the codes under these but i dont have any idea on how can i use it because i only use php and mysql as my database. i dont know how to use the xml as my database. can you help me? Thanks in advance

I am trying to export a dynamically created table (one that has been filtered from user inputs) into a csv file format.  I have simplified the database and code for ease of use.  I also have generated the export file which will extract all information from the table in the database, but I need the information that is filtered by the user to be extracted.  Files are shown below.

How might I modify my export.php file (or other files) to accomplish this?

I need to export data into excel file. So far its works on IE and Firefox. But if i using Google Chrome it download only php file. Eg(suppose file test.xls but it goes to test.php). 

Why it happen??

I designed a web form that takes as input a file and that should upload that file on the server. The file is located on the client machine. The page containing the web form is handled by PHP script.

I found out (reading 9483658954 forum topics so far) that there are 2 methods for getting a file uploaded. The first one is using FTP, and the second one using $_FILES variable. Unfortunately i have complains regarding both of the methods.

Firstly, when attempting to upload the file using FTP it seems that rather the FTP server is calling "upload" a simple copy action (because the only successful thing i could do with FTP was to copy a file from location A to location B, both A and B being on the server) or I don't know to use FTP (which is probably the right answer). Then, when using $_FILES variable, I was forced to include ' enctype="multipart/form-data" ' in the form tag. After a long documentation I finally figured out that by including the enctype blah blah, the $_POST and $_FILES variables were NULL after the form was submitted.Still can't understand why!



Are there any other methods for uploading a file from the client machine to the server? Can I get a competent script for this?

Not sure if this relates more to PHP or Javascript/jQuery, but is there a way to attach a file to an email client (i.e Outlook), when user click on a link/button?

I have a link that generates a PDF and I want it so that, when someone click on a link, it will open up their email client with the PDF already attached, and subject already fill in.

I know, you can use <a href="mailto:..."  but that only opens up the mail client. I also need to attach a file with a subject fill in.

Is this doable with PHP or Javascript?

I wish to create validation rules once which are used both on the client and on the server.   For instance, I will start off with the following PHP object:

When the edit page is downloaded to the client, I will include this object in some format suitable to the client.   The client will then use the jQuery Validation plugin (http://jqueryvalidation.org/) along with the validation object, and client side validate the page.   When the form passes client side validation and is uploaded, PHP will use the same validation object to serverside validate the form (I have this part working as desired).   My question is how should I pass this data to the client?  Originally, I would just use PHP to write some JavaScript.

Note that when I json_encode the object, the value of $myObj->rules->email->remote->data->username is a string with quotes around it, however, I can easily use PHP to strip these tags before sending it to the client.   As Jacques1 pointed out in http://forums.phpfre...ascript-client/, I should never ever use PHP to generate JavaScript, and should use AJAX to download the JSON directly.  I tried doing the later, but found that a callback function could not be included in the JSON.     Please advise on the best way to accomplish this.   Thank you

Though there are lots of links and answers out there related to my post but none reflects what i need. You guys my only hope.

What i have:

3 tables : each has its own number of fields (tbl1=14 ,tbl2=9,tbl3=9). There is a field in each tables that can be related (FamilyField).

What i need:

export to csv all the records from all 3 tables which relates to search criteria (by user) based on a field (MembershipField) which the data may vary from other tables.

pseudo code:
$membership_type =$_POST['mtype'];

export to csv file by using INTO OUTFILE;

I have tried all the code i can find to export from 1 table to csv, and i manage to use UNION to get output from 3 tables but unable to export
as the error message was "incorrect usage of UNION and INTO.

is this possible? or any workaround?

I have tried these PDF generators:

1. TCPDF- doesn't support css class. Styles will work if inline.
2. DOMPDF - Supports CSS class. Doesn't have Unicode support. Already tried load_font to convert ttf to amf but still Chinese char are not displayed properly.
- Also tried (installed) PDFlib, watermark appears in pdf but characters are not displayed properly.

Any suggestion in PDF generator that can do the functionality of TCPDF and DOMPDF? BTW i'm using xampp.

I need to write a cron job that will sync 2 databases.
Is there a quick way to write an export from one database for import into another?
Or do i manually have to write the select statements per table, format them as insert ignore strings, then execute them on the other database?

Is it possible to export a single value from a mysql DB into a pre-existing excel spread sheet?

I know how to create a spread sheet from php and mysql, but not a single value into a pre-existing excel document cell.

here's basically what I'm doing:

Creating a financial expense tracking report in php, user will input each expense,  it will keep a running tally of the available funds in user's bank account. The user has an excel spread sheet that requires the current value of available funds and updates a budget forecast according. SO, I need to somehow get the available balance of the bank account (generated by user input) into the pre-existing excel spreadsheet.

Any thoughts? I'm totally at a loss.
