PHP - Php(curl) Execute Ajax Function?
Hi,
I'm experimenting with CURL. I'm trying to post data with CURL. Everything went fine until I found a form where the site submits data using AJAX technology. The data is still in <input> tag, so I can "type" it there using CURL. However, I can't submit the data as it is executed via <a> tag with Javascript (AJAX). Could you guys help me with this? Is it possible for PHP to execute AJAX function(with parameters sending)? Is there any similar example somewhere? Regards, Similar TutorialsHello, First of all ,I have been a regular reader of the forum and it has increased my knowledge in the PHP a lot. Till now i had just been a guest user and used to go through the queries and tips posted here. Today , for the first time i am posting on the forum Coming to a problem: I have to design a function for a client from travel domain. Where he wants the script/function to go and extract data from an airline website on the available fare for a specific date and destination. The problem is that only a part of fare(Base fare) is visible on the site and you have to select one of the given flight option(s) (after selecting the option through AJAX the full fare is displayed on the same page on the left hand site) to get the complete fare including fare and surcharges. Now i want my function/script to extract the full fare for all the available flight options. I have written the below piece of code. But its not efffective as it gets only the base fare part of the result page and not the complete fare.. The airline booking url is : http://book.spicejet.com/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi My code: //---- Spicejet start // ENGINE URL http://book.spicejet.com/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi?page=homecomp //Taking some sample search data - just to test the script $event="search" ; $module="SB" ; $page="SEARCH" ; $mode="empty" ; $travel="1" ; // ONE WAY OR 2 WAY $from1="HYD" ; $to1="DEL" ; $departDay1="13" ; $departDay2=""; $departMonth1="201010" ; $ADULT="1" ; $CHILD="0" ; $INFANT="0" ; $toCity1="DEL" ; $numberMarkets="1" ; // the page needs data in POST form $curlPost = 'event=' . urlencode($event) . '&module=' . urlencode($module) .'&page=' . urlencode($page) .'&mode=' . urlencode($mode) .'&travel=' . urlencode($travel) .'&from1=' . urlencode($from1) .'&to1=' . urlencode($to1) .'&departDay1=' . urlencode($departDay1) .'&departMonth1=' . urlencode($departMonth1) .'&ADULT=' . urlencode($ADULT) .'&CHILD=' . urlencode($CHILD) .'&INFANT=' . urlencode($INFANT) .'&toCity1=' . urlencode($toCity1) .'&numberMarkets=' . urlencode($numberMarkets).'&submitSearch=submitSearch'; $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, 'http://book.spicejet.com/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi'); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $curlPost); $data = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); echo($data); Also one more query Is there something like beautiful soup (As in Python) to parse the data. I want to extract the flight timing and total price from the page and insert into a database. Thanxs in advance
I'm trying to login and scrape a page 4 pages deep. I can get to the fourth page...but that page only returns AJAX ERROR:0. I know NOTHING about AJAX calls via Curl. Can someone please help me with what to look for in the source code of the 4th page (when using a browser) to what I'm supposed to pass along via CURL? Let's say I have a mysql table named 'function' and a field named 'body' with 1 row. The 'body' field contains 'Echo out the number 1000 with a comma. ".number_format(1000).". Simple Example.' As you can see there is a function; number_format(); in the database, but is it possible to execute it onto a live webpage and be displayed correctly? Hey all. I am trying to make a mod for our fantasy football site but keep getting an error. I am running this on a windows 2003 server with iis 6 php 5.3 and mysql 5.1.5 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Hitster4 Consider this function, public function getData($data) { $availability = array(); foreach ($data as $id) { $availability[] = $this->getStatus($id); } return $availability; } If my guess is not wrong this function sends a request to get the status(calling getStatus()) everytime it encounters the data.Like,it calls for 10 requests and get the 10 statuses individually.Is there anyway I can send all the 10 requests at a time and get the10 responses back at once using curl function. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is there any way to tell my php ajax file to run the update query if the data already exist and if not, then create the row in the database? I have both the update and the insert functions created, but was just wondering if I could tell php which one to use without passing through a parameter. Hi all, Is there a way to get jquery ajax to run a specific PHP function. At the moment Im sending extra paramaters like check=1: Code: [Select] ajaxCall: function(process, obj, type){ $.post("registration-post.php", type + "=" + process + "&check=1", function(data){ alert(data); if(data==""){ $(obj).css(registration.errorNotificationType, registration.validatedColour); }else{ //registration.validationCollection.push($.trim(data)); $('.error').append($.trim(data) + "<br />"); $(obj).css(registration.errorNotificationType, registration.errorColour); registration.progress = false; } } ); } then doing an if statement, if($_POST["check"]==1){ $registration->checkDuplication(); } if($registration->validationBool){ $registration->validateFields(); } but its not really doing the job i need it to do. I'm a little stuck in my own battle to make cleaner coding Hello, everyone. I have code that effectively calls a PHP page with AJAX (no JQuery). The PHP responds fine with an echo. Here is the javaScript that calls the PHP so refreshing the page doesn't need to be done.
function deleteCategory() { var e= document.getElementById("dropDown1"); var var1 = e.options[e.selectedIndex].text; var xmlhttp = new XMLHttpRequest(); xmlhttp.onreadystatechange = alerta() { if (this.readyState == 4 && this.status == 200) { document.getElementById("insert").innerHTML = xmlhttp.responseText; } }; xmlhttp.open("GET", "deleteRow.php?q=" + var1 , true); xmlhttp.send(); } How do I call a PHP function on the same page while preserving the above AJAX.

Edited April 26, 2019 by aveeva good day dear community, i am workin on a Curl loop to fetch multiple pages: i have some examples - and a question: Example: If we want to get information from 3 sites with CURL we can do it like so: $list[1] = "http://www.example1.com"; $list[2] = "ftp://example.com"; $list[3] = "http://www.example2.com"; After creating the list of links we should initialize the cURL multi handle and adding the cURL handles. $curlHandle = curl_multi_init(); for ($i = 1;$i <= 3; $i++) $curl[$i] = addHandle($curlHandle,$list[$i]); Now we should execute the cURL multi handle retrive the content from the sub handles that we added to the cURL multi handle. ExecHandle($curlHandle); for ($i = 1;$i <= 3; $i++) { $text[$i] = curl_multi_getcontent ($curl[$i]); echo $text[$i]; } In the end we should release the handles from the cURL multi handle by calling curl_multi_remove_handle and close the cURL multi handle! If we want to another Fetch of sites with cURL-Multi - since this is the most pretty way to do it! Well I am not sure bout the string concatenation. How to do it - Note I want to fetch several hundred pages: see the some details for this target-server sites - /(I have to create a loop over several hundred sites). * siteone.example/?show_subsite=9009 * siteone.example/?show_subsite=9742 * siteone.example/?show_subsite=9871 .... and so on and so forth Question: How to appy this loop into the array of the curl-multi? <?php /************************************\ * Multi interface in PHP with curl * * Requires PHP 5.0, Apache 2.0 and * * Curl * ************************************* * Writen By Cyborg 19671897 * * Bugfixed by Jeremy Ellman * \***********************************/ $urls = array( "siteone", "sitetwo", "sitethree" ); $mh = curl_multi_init(); foreach ($urls as $i => $url) { $conn[$i]=curl_init($url); curl_setopt($conn[$i],CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER,1);//return data as string curl_setopt($conn[$i],CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION,1);//follow redirects curl_setopt($conn[$i],CURLOPT_MAXREDIRS,2);//maximum redirects curl_setopt($conn[$i],CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT,10);//timeout curl_multi_add_handle ($mh,$conn[$i]); } do { $n=curl_multi_exec($mh,$active); } while ($active); foreach ($urls as $i => $url) { $res[$i]=curl_multi_getcontent($conn[$i]); curl_multi_remove_handle($mh,$conn[$i]); curl_close($conn[$i]); } curl_multi_close($mh); print_r($res); ?> I look forward to your ideas. Right now I redirect to index page after I delete a record. However I am looking to make it so that I can delete a record without redirecting the page. I know this can be accomplised using Ajax. I have spent countless hours before trying to make it work, but it did not work.
So here is a basic setup I created. Can you please update it with ajax code so that I can see how it's done properly?
<!DOCTYPE HTML> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Home Page</title> </head> <body> <div class="record" > <a href="record.php?id=<?php echo $record_id ?>"><?php echo $record_name; ?></a> <div class="delete-record"> <a href="delete.php">Delete Record</a> </div> </div> </body> </html> Edited by man5, 18 August 2014 - 08:55 PM. Now I'm having this strange issue with my website I'm currently working on a tester system and I've encountered a problem that I'm unable to find the issue, tho I'm thinking my ajax php part of the script to be the thing causing it even tho it seems strange that it would cause it. The first part which is connected to where the problem occurs is the echo"<form>"; and from there, It should take you to index.php?page=tester&select=answer, now that is where it in the browser goes there tho it still shows the page stuff from the last page which is index.php?page=tester&select=applications, so it's like showing both &select=answer and &select=applications on the same page. <?php $q=$_GET["q"]; include'../config/connection.php'; $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM applications WHERE id = '$q'"); echo "<center><table border='1'> <tr> <th>Account Name</th> <th>Character Name</th> <th>Gender</th> <th>Skin Color</th> </tr>"; $row = mysql_fetch_array($result); echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>" . $row['name'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['charactername'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['gender'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['race'] . "</td>"; echo "</tr></table></center>"; echo"<br/>"; echo"<table><tr> <th>Description</th> <th>Metagaming</th> <th>Powergaming</th></tr>"; echo"<tr>"; echo "<td><textarea readonly='readonly' style='width:22em; height:20em;'>".$row['description']."</textarea></td>"; echo "<td><textarea readonly='readonly' style='width:22em; height:20em;'>".$row['mg']."</textarea></td>"; echo "<td><textarea readonly='readonly' style='width:22em; height:20em;'>".$row['pg']."</textarea></td>"; echo"</tr></table><table><br/><center><h1>Answer</h1><br/><form action='index.php?page=tester&select=answer' method='post'>"; echo"<textarea name='why' style='height:10em; width:60em;'></textarea><br/>"; echo"<input type='submit' name='answer' value='Accept' /><a/>"; echo"<input type='submit' name='answer' value='Decline' /></center>"; echo"<input type='hidden' name='id' value='$q'/>"; echo"</form></table>"; ?> Now on &select=answer it included a page which the script of that include consist of the stuff below, it outputs that the query was successfully, and all that. <? if(!empty($_POST['why'])) { $why = mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['why']); $answer = trim($_POST['answer']); $id = $_POST['id']; if($answer == "Accept") { $query1 = mysql_query("UPDATE characters SET accepted = '1' WHERE id = '".$id."'"); echo"Successfully accepted"; $answer = 1; } elseif($answer == "Decline") { echo"Successfully declined"; $answer = 0; } $query = mysql_query("UPDATE applications SET answer = '$why' AND tester = '".$_COOKIE['Username']."' AND accepted = '$answer' AND answered = '1' WHERE cid = '".$id."'") or die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); if($query) { echo"<br/>Query went through without problems"; header("Refresh: 5;url=index.php?page=tester"); } } ?> This is the ajax part javascript of it which gets the information for index.php?page=tester&select=applications Code: [Select] <script type="text/javascript"> function showApplication(str) { if (str==""||str==0) { document.getElementById("txtHint").innerHTML=""; return; } if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {// code for IE7+, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); } xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function() { if (xmlhttp.readyState==4 && xmlhttp.status==200) { document.getElementById("txtHint").innerHTML=xmlhttp.responseText; } } xmlhttp.open("GET","tester/applications.php?q="+str,true); xmlhttp.send(); } </script>If you need any more information feel free to ask for it. Thanks in advance. Hello, I've been trying this for hours now, looking at different examples and trying to change them to work for me, but with no luck... This is what I am trying to do: I have a simple form with: - 1 input field, where I can enter a number - 1 Submit Button When I enter a number into the field and click submit, I want that number to be send to the php file that is in the ajax call, then the script will take that number and run a bunch of queries and then return a new number. I want that new number to be used to call the php script via ajax again, until no number is returned, or something else is returned like the word "done" or something like that, at which point is simply makes an alert or populated a div with a message... The point is, that depending on the number entered it could take up to an hour to complete ALL the queries, so I want the script that is called to only run a fixed amount of queries at a time and then return the number it is currently at (+1), so that it can continue with the next number when it is called again. I would like to use jquery, but could also be any other way, as long as I get this to work. I already have the php script completed that needs to be called by the ajax, it returns a single number when being called. Thank you, vb Hi,
I have a cron job that executes this script every 2 minutes:
<?php // LOAD WP-LOAD.PHP require('/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-load.php'); // INCLUDE AND EXECUTE SCHEDULER.PHP include('/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/themes/yeelloe/scheduler.php'); ?>When I try to include; /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/themes/yeelloe/scheduler.php: <?php // EXPLODE AND PARSE WP-CONTENT; FUNCTIONS.PHP $parse_uri = explode( '/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content', $_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME'] ); // LOAD WP-LOAD.PHP require_once( $parse_uri[0] . '/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-load.php' ); // LOAD TEMPLATE FUNCTION CheckFunction(); ?> Hi, I am trying to create a PHP script ("repair-correct.php") in order to run some CLI commands without using PuTTy - The CLI commands are needed to repair/correct the execution of a web application named Mautic. Shared web host account with PHP 7.0 URL: https://www.myserver.com Mautic directory: https://www.myserver.com/mautic
What I want to do is:
Step1: Change ownership of files and folders To find out which user Apache is running as, I want to execute the following command and take note of the first entry in the line which is returned: ps aux | grep apache2 I want to use this information to find the groups with the following command groups apache_user (where apache_user is the user I identified from the first step above) To reset the ownership of files and folders, I want to use the following command (ensuring that I replace apache_user and apache_group with the values identified in the steps above): sudo chown -R apache_user:apache_group With this command I want to change ownership, using the -R flag which means recursively - including all files/folders within that location.
Step 2: Reset the file and folder permissions
find . -type f -not -perm 644 -exec chmod 644 {} +
Thanks so much for your help in solving this problem!
Best, Tony
Hi, Below i have some sample code and am confused over execute(), i have the code below in a try and catch block, in the catch block i call a function i created to log any error that is caught in catch block to a .txt file. I then looked online and it seems that i should do an if statement check on execute to ensure it executed the query, the part that confuses me if the execute failed i thought it would be caught in the catch block but it seems that is not the case. To explain better i have commented the code in depth on the area that i am confused about. Any help in making me understand would be great. I have not included all code above try and catch to keep things simple Code: [Select] <?php try { // connect to database $dbh = sql_con(); // checke if username exists on users table or users banlist table $stmt = $dbh->prepare(" SELECT users.user_login FROM users WHERE users.user_login = ? UNION ALL SELECT users_banlist.user_banlist FROM users_banlist WHERE users_banlist.user_banlist = ?"); // this is the part i am confused with, why is it i would use an if statement on execute() ? // i thought using a try and catch block any errors would be caught in the catch block. // using an if statement to check if execute() worked, i thought if execute failed it would // be handled by the catch block, i mean in my exmaple code here, what could cause the execute to fail ? // and why if execute failed it would not be caught by catch block ? // i am looing at exmaple online and i am reading different things and its all confusing me // execute query if(!$stmt->execute(array($username, $username))){ echo 'something went wrong .. '; } else { // execute worked } } // if any errors found log them in my ExceptionErrorHandler() function and display friendly message catch (PDOException $e) { // this function catches an error and logs them to file ExceptionErrorHandler($e); require_once($footer_inc); exit; } } ?> Thanks or any help! Not sure if this is possible I am trying to do a multi delete: Code: [Select] <form name="form1" method="post" action=""> <table> while($rows=mysql_fetch_array($result)){ ?> <tr> <td align="center" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><input name="checkbox[]" type="checkbox" id="checkbox[]" value="<? echo $rows['id']; ?>"></td> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><? echo $rows['id']; ?></td> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><? echo $rows['name']; ?></td> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><? echo $rows['lastname']; ?></td> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><? echo $rows['email']; ?></td> </tr> <?php } ?> // Check if delete button active, start this if($delete){ for($i=0;$i<$count;$i++){ $del_id = $checkbox[$i]; $sql = "DELETE FROM $tbl_name WHERE id='$del_id'"; $result = mysql_query($sql); } <tr><td> <select name="dropdown"> <option value="option1">Choose an action...</option> <option value="edit">Edit</option> <option value="delete">Delete</option> </select> <a class="button" href="#">Apply to selected</a> if($result){ echo "<meta http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"0;URL=nameslist.php\">"; } } mysql_close(); I have written a Validation class that checks to see if a file being uploaded to the server meets certain conditions. That works a treat. The next step is to actually upload it to the server and I have an Upload class that can do that. Again, that works perfectly fine. Once the file uploads, I am passing the $location of that of that file to my DB class. The DB class is full of methods that prepare and then execute strings that are SQL queries that are required in other areas of my application. Nothing I have at the moment is suitable for just running an SQL file so I don't know what to do now.. My procedural code, that works, looks like this; $dbh2 = new PDO("mysql:host=localhost;dbname=DB360transfer", $login_user, $login_password); $sql = file_get_contents($path.$new_file_name); $qr = $dbh2->exec($sql);I'm not sure how to replicate this up in a PDO/OOP application. My DB Class script is attached. The run_from_file code starts on line 98. I've left in the other stuff as I suspect the answer has something to do with using the $this or the self:: - but really I have no idea. So my question is, what is the correct syntax for executing a file in OOP? Attached Files DB.php 2.92KB 6 downloads How can I get this form to execute? Do I need to use a hidden input or something?
