Similar TutorialsHello all, I used simple php email function but it send an email in junk folder or spam. Can anyone tell me why is this so? Her is the code: $host = "ssl://smtp.gmail.com"; $port = "465"; $to = " xx@gmail.com"; // note the comma $subject = " $_POST[company_website] "; $headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n"; $headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n"; $headers .= 'From: About Wholesale Account' . "<$_POST[email]>\r\n"; $headers .= 'Cc: mail@gmail.com' . "\r\n"; $headers .= 'Bcc: cc@gmail.com' . "\r\n"; mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers); I'm admittedly very ignorant about email in general. I want some way to send emails in a way that just works (tm). The receiver doesn't need to be able to reply so I don't want to mess with SMTP logins or anything. I have a list of email addresses that I want my script to loop through and send an email to each. I messed with the mail() function and passed my own email address to it with a subject and body and executed the script but I never got the email. I assume I have to configure some server or something in php.ini. Now, this script is going to be redistributed so I want to reduce the hassle required to install/configure it. Knowing this, can somebody link me to an article explaining the simplest way to send a very basic email? No HTML, no attachments, no replying, just simple subject/body email. Hi all, What I am trying to achieve is, I thought quite simple! Basically, a user signs up and chooses a package, form is submitted, details added to the database, email sent to customer, then I want to direct them to a paypal payment screen, this is where I am having issues! Is their any way in php to submit a form without user interaction? Here is my code for the form process page Code: [Select] <?php include('config.php'); require('scripts/class.phpmailer.php'); $package = $_POST['select1']; $name = $_POST['name']; $email = $_POST['email']; $password = md5($_POST['password']); $domain = $_POST['domain']; $a_username = $_POST['a_username']; $a_password = $_POST['a_password']; $query=mysql_query("INSERT INTO orders (package, name, email, password, domain, a_username, a_password) VALUES ('$package', '$name', '$email', '$password', '$domain', '$a_username', '$a_password')"); if (!$query) { echo "fail<br>"; echo mysql_error(); } else { $id = mysql_insert_id(); $query1=mysql_query("INSERT INTO customers (id, name, email, password) values ('$id', '$name', '$email', '$password')"); if (!$query1) { echo "fail<br>"; echo mysql_error(); } if($package=="Reseller Hosting") { //email stuff here - all works - just cutting it to keep the code short if(!$mail->Send()) { echo "Message could not be sent. <p>"; echo "Mailer Error: " . $mail->ErrorInfo; exit; } ?> <form name="_xclick" action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post"> <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_xclick-subscriptions"> <input type="hidden" name="business" value="subscription@jollyhosting.com"> <input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="USD"> <input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="Jolly Hosting Reseller Packages"> <input type="hidden" name="no_shipping" value="1"> <!--1st month --> <input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="USD"> <input type="hidden" name="a3" value="3.00"> <input type="hidden" name="p3" value="1"> <input type="hidden" name="t3" value="M"> <input type="hidden" name="src" value="1"> <input type="hidden" name="sra" value="1"> </form>'; <?php } //last } //end ?> Hi the user fill details and then the email his sent to me the only problem is that the emails keeps going to my spam, can someone help me out please I looked already php website and email format looks the same. Here is a live example of this at www.interestingspecies.com/mismatch/20 I am brand new at php coding so I am struggling to understand why my php code is not working in my website. I would like my html form to send me data to my email. Whatever I try, it just will not work. I have ftp'ed it to my website and I checked with my web host, they do support php. Anyone who can help out a newbie, please?
This is my very simple form to capture email addresses of new clients: <form action="send_mail.php" method="post"> <input name="Email"
placeholder="Enter your email..." required="" type="email"> This is the php coding I have placed in a document called send_mail.php:
<?php /* I have developed a code for a login and seems to work well (No syntax error according to https://phpcodechecker.com/ but when I enter a username and a password in the login form, I get an error HTTP 500. I think that everything is ok in the code but obviously there is something that I am not thinking about. The code (excluding db connection): $id="''"; $username = $_POST['username']; $password = md5($_POST['password']); $func = "SELECT contrasena FROM users WHERE username='$username'"; $realpassask = $conn->query($func); $realpassaskres = $realpassask->fetch_assoc(); $realpass= $realpassaskres[contrasena]; $func2 = "SELECT bloqueado FROM users WHERE username='$username'"; $blockedask = $conn->query($func2); $blockedres = $blockedask->fetch_assoc(); $bloqueado = $blockedres[bloqueado];
//Login if(!empty($username)) { // Check the email with database Code: [Select] <?php $firstname = $_POST['firstname']; $lastname = $_POST['lastname']; $email = $_POST['email']; $dropdown = $_POST['dropdown']; $formcontent=" From: $firstname \n Surname: $lastname \n Email: $email \n Dropdown: $dropdown"; $recipient = "martin@sittingspiritually.co.uk, siobhan@sittingspiritually.co.uk"; $subject = "Newsletter Sign Up"; $mailheader = "From: $email \r\n"; mail($recipient, $subject, $formcontent, $mailheader) or die("Error!"); if ( mail($recipient, $subject, $formcontent, $mailheader) ){ header('Location: http://www.sittingspiritually.co.uk/thankyou.php'); } else { die ("error"); } ?> I have recently created a small snippet of php code for posting mail and it's sweet apart from 1 thing. I have two email addresses in the recipient section. It only sends to the last name in the list. Is this because i have written recipient? Should it be recipients? I need this mail to be delivered to both of the email addresses. I'm sure it's simple for someone with expert knowledge. Thanks in advance for any help. I have a contact form with a file upload button, when you click on “submit” you are redirected on Paypal everything works fine but, I would like to send the contact form only when visitors have paid on Paypal. I’ve searched on google but I have not found a way to do this. Can anyone help? Cheers, Aidan. I am not getting the result I am hoping for. The code below is full code after a form has been submitted containing a member name and amount of credits: Code: [Select] <?php if (isset($t)){ $t = $_GET['t'];} ?> <?php $amount = $_POST['amount']; $member = $_POST['member']; $sql = ("SELECT vtp_members.name, vtp_members.team_id FROM vtp_members WHERE vtp_members.team_id=".$_GET['t']." AND vtp_members.name='$member' AND teams.team_treasure >= '$amount' "); $result = mysql_query($sql); $numrows = mysql_num_rows($result); if($numrows == '1') { $sql2 = "UPDATE vtp_members, teams SET vtp_members.hits=(vtp_members.hits + '$amount'), teams.team_treasure=(teams.team_treasure - '$amount') WHERE vtp_members.name='$member' AND teams.team_id=".$_GET['t']." "; $results2 = mysql_query($sql2); $row2 = mysql_fetch_row($results2); $tmap2 = $row2[0]; echo "You sent ". $amount . "credits to " . $member . ". "; } else { echo "The treasure holdings are too low for this transfer<br>(or an error occured)";} ?> Problem; it returns the else statement although the "teams.team_treasure" is higher or equal to "$amount" Hey everyone. I hope you can help me getting through this problem, because I have no idea of what else to try. I'm a web designer and sometimes modify Javascript, but my main focus is HTML and CSS, meaning I have no idea how to code in Javascript, but most importantly, how to write something from scratch in PHP. So I designed a form that works pretty well, and integrated a PHP and Javascript script to make it work. This is the form: Code: [Select] <form name="form" id="form" method="post" action="contact.php"> <p>Hello,</p> <p>My name is <input type="text" name="name">, from <input type="text" name="location">, and I'd like to get in touch with you for the following purpose:</p> <p><textarea name="message" rows="10" ></textarea></p> <p>By the way, my email address is <input type="text" name="email" id="email" placeholder="john@doe.com">, and I can prove I'm not a robot because I know the sky is <input type="text" name="code" placeholder="Red, green or blue?">.</p> <p title="Send this message."><input type="submit" id="submit" value="Take care."></p> </form> And this is the script, in an external file called contact.php: Code: [Select] <?php $name = check_input($_REQUEST['name'], "Please enter your name.") ; $location = check_input($_REQUEST['location']) ; $message = check_input($_REQUEST['message'], "Please write a message.") ; $email = check_input($_REQUEST['email'], "Please enter a valid email address.") ; if (!preg_match("/([\w\-]+\@[\w\-]+\.[\w\-]+)/",$email)) {die("E-mail address not valid");} if (strtolower($_POST['code']) != 'blue') {die('You are definitely a robot.');} $mail_status = mail( "my@email.com", "Hey!", "Hello,\n\n$message\n\nRegards,\n\n$name\n$location", "From: $email $name" ); function check_input($data, $problem='') { $data = trim($data); $data = stripslashes($data); $data = htmlspecialchars($data); if ($problem && strlen($data) == 0) { show_error($problem); } return $data; } function show_error($myError) { ?> <html> <body> <b>Please correct the following error:</b><br /> <?php echo $myError; ?> </body> </html> <?php exit(); } if ($mail_status) { ?> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> alert('Thank you for the message. I will try to respond as soon as I can.'); window.location = '/about'; </script> <?php } else { ?> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> alert('There was an error. Please try again in a few minutes, or send the message directly to aalejandro@bitsland.com.'); window.location = '/about'; </script> <?php } ?> So what it does is this: if everything's OK, it sends an email with "Hey!" as the subject, "[name]" as the sender, "Hello, [message]. Regards, [name], [location]" as the body, and a popup saying the message was delivered appears. If something fails, it outputs the error in a new address, so the user will have to go back to the form and correct the error. What I actually want to happen is this: if everything's OK, a <p> which was hidden beneath the form appears saying the message was delivered, or, alternatively, make the submit button gray out and confirm the message was delivered. I found a script to make this happen, but with "Please wait...", so the user can't resubmit the form. If there's an error, I'd like another <p> which was hidden to appear with the specific error, so there'd be many <p>'s hidden with different IDs. If possible, I'd also like to change the CSS style of the input field, specifically changing the border color to red, so it'd be a change in class for the particular field. -- So in essence, I want the errors and the success messages to output in the same page as the form (without refresh), and a change of class in the input fields that have an error. Thanks in advance, and please let me know if it'll be possible. I have the simple code below which seems to have worked on forms from a contact page on a website. Unfortunately, it seems to only send the forms if all fields are entered. I have played with the code but cannot seem to get it to send any field that has been completed on submit. Can someone help please? <?php $emailAddress = "bigL@gmail.com"; $thankyouPage = ""; session_start(); if (!empty($_POST)) { foreach ($_POST as $key=>$value) { $_POST[$key] = stripslashes($_POST[$key]); $_POST[$key] = htmlspecialchars($_POST[$key],ENT_QUOTES); } } if (isset($_POST['send']) AND isset($_SESSION['msgCount'])) { if ($_SESSION['msgCount'] >= "3") $alert = "Only 3 messages can be s +ent per session."; if (empty($alert)) { $_SESSION['msgCount']++; putenv('TZ=EST5EDT'); // eastern time $headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n"; $headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n" +; $message = "<table cellpadding='5' border='1'>"; foreach ($_POST as $key => $value) if (!preg_match("(^send)",$key)) { $value = wordwrap($value,65,"<br />"); $message .="<tr><td><b>$key</b></td><td>$value</td></tr>"; } $message .= "</table>"; $message .= "<br />Time of the message: ".date(" F d h:ia")."<br +/>"; $message .= "IP Address: ".$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']."<br />"; $message .= "Hostname: ".gethostbyaddr($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'])."< +br />"; $subject = $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']." Message"; mail($emailAddress,$subject,$message,$headers); if (!empty($thankyouPage)) { header('location: '.$thankyouPage); die(); } unset($_POST); $alert = "Your enquiry has been sent, we will respond as soon as p +ossible."; } } if (!isset($_SESSION['msgCount'])) $_SESSION['msgCount'] = 0; ?> Hello Guys,
I need your help as many PHPers here is more experienced in PHP coding than me. I have specific project I am working on and need a piece of code that can send an email from HTML form using PHP to the email address that is entered manually on the form, instead of standard sent to PHP code that is fixed within PHP script and executed during submission. I want sth that can grab manually enetered recipient's e-mail address, paste it to the PHP code and then use it to send the email to the recipient, instead of fixed sent to code. Something would say dynamically changed during the entry that can inject into PHP code the new address email entered on the form and then submit to it. Any ideas will be great.
Thanks.

The code below currently sends a separate Email with data from each row of a table when a Save All button is pressed. So, if I have 4 rows of data, 4 Email will be sent. $email="to@email.com"; $from="from@email.com"; $msg=""; $subject="Registers Info for: ".$values["first_name"]." ".$values["last_name"].""; $msg.= "Student: ".$values["first_name"]." ".$values["last_name"]."\r\n"; $msg.= "Absent or Present: ".$values["attendance_status"]."\r\n"; $msg.= "Class: ".$values["classname"]."\r\n"; $msg.= "Class Date: ".$values["attendance_date"]."\r\n"; $msg.= "Amount Received: ".$values["cash_received"]."\r\n"; $msg.= "Paid For: ".$values["cash_whatfor"]."\r\n"; $ret=runner_mail(array('to' => $email, 'subject' => $subject, 'body' => $msg, 'from'=>$from)); if(!$ret["Sent"]) echo $ret["message"];
Edited February 27, 2020 by leemo So i got a table that looks somthing like this: File Name | Download | Suggested Catagory | Select Catagory | Approve -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- test | Download | blah blah blah | Option menu | yes or no option menu test | Download | blah blah blah | Option menu | yes or no option menu test | Download | blah blah blah | Option menu | yes or no option menu what I want to do is in the file that processes this it only looks at the ones that have had the "approve column" submitted as a yes. Next it will to a mysql entry into verrified notes. Problem is with X amount of entries in that form I dont know how to look at only the ones that have said yes. Do I create a new form for each entry or put them all as one entry and after this what do I do next? Dusting off my PHP skills after some time! How would I do this... Code: [Select] IF form was submitted THEN do some PHP stuff and do not show the form again ELSE display the form for the first time Is it as simple as wrapping my HTML inside an If-Then-Else?
