PHP - Auto Login To Remote Site

Hi, i need to code a script that login to a website after supplying a username and password, then downloads a file after every 24 hrs. Any suggestions ??

Hi all, newbie at php. Have dabbled in the past here and there but never done anything much.

I'm trying to use an application called Monsta Ftp. Which for those of you who may not know is a web based ftp client.
What I'm trying to do is adapt the front page so it auto logs into the Ftp site without entering any credentials. The site is only internal and cannot be accessed via the web.

Hi, I'm trying to get a php webform to log onto the database automatically before it loads on the website page. In other words I don't want the customer having log onto the database or be a guest. I think I need the code below to do that. Question is, can I just add this code into the php file that is the webform or add the <?php            ?> to it and have it above the webform php code.
Also do I need to alter any other dbconnect php pages as well?
Also do I need to edit the htaccess file also.

Currently I can use php snoopy class to auto login in wordpress, but when I try to use the same method to post some articles in wordpress. It does not work. Any one has any ideas?

I have tried to use httpwatch to monitor the post data and cookies. It seems I have include everything, but still doesn't work.

Ive got a fairly successful website and im looking at cloning it, I want to set up a cron to check the main site if there are any new posts and if there are insert it into the DB.

Ive got them on 2 separate hosts so i don't want to just read from the DB increase the main site goes down and brings the whole 2nd site down.

What would be the easiest way to do it? Not looking for people to give code, Just their suggestions.

Hi guys,

We have an independent billing system that we use to track payments. I want to write a PHP script to automatically post a payment to the billing system.

I went into the billing system, hit "View source" and got the link + required variables that will allow me to simulate entering a payment.

The problem is that it's asking me to enter my credentials everytime I try to simulate the payment. Is a module or something that will automatically enter my credentials in this HTTPS site?

Hi, I am trying to make a registration form for users. The registration is for a seminar introducing a particular system for them. This (web based) system is merely a remote website. But in order for the users to actually use the system at the seminar, they HAVE to have logged in on the system in advance/prior to the seminar at least once. So in my registration form I want to include a curl login of the system, which should be invisible to the users. Hence I don't want to open a popup loading the system/remote site - I would like for this to happen without the users knowing it. So they enter username and password, Curl then does the login and then returns either "Succes! You were logge in!" or  "There was an error. You were not logged in!".

I have no use for additional information from the remote site - the only thing is that they should login this once - that's it. My code is below - and it works if the remote site is NOT using https (that is http ;-)) but if the remote site IS running https I get no message back.

The line "if (stristr($result, "loginerrors"))" is set because the remote site includes the keyword "loginerrors" if you weren't logged in properly.

 Any suggestions?

I think I finally figured out what my problem is! I have this huge login system that I got and I think it's designed so that in order to login it has a popup window come up. Well I want embed this page so the user can login right their on the page. Before I was using include but that screws up all the submit buttons. Anyone know of a simple code to embed a page?

I have 2 websites, a companies main website written in PHP and a web application they have purchased written in aspx

(main site)
www.example.com

(web app)
www.webapp.com/login.aspx?CompanyName=example

The client wants people to be able to login from their main website which then redirect to the webapp (which will be styled like their branding) without the customer realising they have left the main site.

I thought i may be able to achieve this with a simple include from a page within the main site such as;

This pulls in the login page fine, however when you try to login it does not redirect, it gives a 404 error as it trys to open this URL

Is there a way of pulling in the necessary html from the aspx site to provide a login box in my clients main site but then have it redirect to the correct aspx page (on the aspx site)?

I have thought about using an iframe, but that wont redirect to the webapp upon login, but just keep everything withing the iframe

1) Users land on https://www.mysite.com/login.php
2) Users type their email and password
3) POST data submitted to http://www.3rdparty.com/login.php with cURL
4) Users redirected to http://www.3rdparty.com/index.php (logged in).

This works great. But now I've installed a SSL on my site and I've just realised that using the form above, the data is still POSTed as a plain text because the 3rd party site is not https.
So I want to submit the form to my login.php form and let this form take the users to the 3rd party site. So at least the user inputs to my site is encrypted.

What this code is doing now is it's just rendering the www.3rdparty.com's login page (not logged in) on my site.
When I type wrong values, it renders www.3rdparty.com's login page with an error message on it.
So I think at least the values are being POSTed but it doesn't log me in.
All of the cURL codes available out there seem to POST the data and fetch some results back not redirecting the users to another site.
My ultimate goal is to POST the form and redirect the users to the 3rd party site's member area as well.
I tried header("Location: http://www.3rdparty.com/index.php"); but it just takes user to that page without being logged in.

Could anyone give me some hints?
