PHP - Saving Image Resource Onto Subdirectory

How to include root files from subdirectory in php?

I have tried include '../configure.php'; but got error.

Also tried include($DOCUMENT_ROOT."../configure.php"); but same result.

For example, I have "root/admin" directory, and can't connect (from "/admin" dir)  to the file configure.php which is in root. There are also other files to include.

How does one get the absolute filepath of this:   $_FILES["myfile"]["name"]   On a web-server?   Currently I'm feeding my image as a resource into imagejpg. http://php.net/manua...n.imagejpeg.php   However, I need to get the file-path so I can send them to an S3 bucket.   Thanks for any help!

Does anyone know what this is about? I've been on out friend google and a lot of people seem to be pointing to permissions but I can't seem to apply it to my scenario and just can't get it to work. Im a developer by trade, but this is my first step into the...interesting world of PHP and mySQL.

Again, I'd appreciate any help with this. I'd love someone to talk me through exactly what I'm missing or doing wrong.

I am working on a simple gallery. I want to have an option to download full scale image without users having to right click and "save as". Using this code you get a image preview:

How can I modify it so when user clicks on thumbnail of image 1 it will prompt him to save the image instead of viewing it.

so I have an array with a bunch of photos, and I'm trying to create a thumbnail of each to display on a page with a link to the full sized image but I'm getting the error in the subject title... if I just display the images in the array without trying to resize them it works fine... can anyone clue me into why this isn't working please.

I have a .php code that gets data from a database and saves it in a variables as xml.  However how can I then save all of the data in this variable as a .xml file somewhere?

i have made 2 classes. 

the first "point" has an array of 3 floats and some functions to help manipulate the values
the second "triangle" has an array of 3 points.

in this way if i want to make a tetrahedron i can make 4 points and assign them to 4 triangles.

problem is for some reason each triangle point group seems to use 1k.  any idea why?

I'm completely new to anything that is not html but I'm wondering if in something like php I can get a checkbox to permanently save through reloads and different machines. My idea was just to have a page with only a checkbox on it, and then load that through and iframe in html. If anybody could give me the code for that checkbox page (complete if possible as I don't really know anything about that type of programming) I would be very grateful.

I'm trying to get an equation from a user that types it in the url, ex) 1+2+3. I can get the 1,2,3 fine, but the + operator is no longer in the string. Same with the * and / operators. Is there a way to keep them as a string using $_GET?

I was expecting a return string, but got Resource id #2 instead.
