I'm running a script using jQuery that auto-refreshes a <div> on the index page from an external PHP script to get all the rows in a database and display them on the index page. The script works great - here it is as follows:

This script works great as well.

Currently, the auto-refresh jQuery script as you can see if getting and fading in/out all of the rows.

Off of the above getrows.php script, is there a way after I could get only the newly created rows since the last refresh and only fade those in and out while leaving the others already loaded by the auto-refresh script to not fade in/out?

Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions would be unbelievably helpful.

Scenario :   I would like to open the main program window and at the same time, if a condition is met, open a second - popup window to alert the user of previous information stored in the database.   This is an easy exercise if I use a hyperlink to open th second (popup) window but this is not the process required .   Can someone point me in the right direction ?   Cheers and thanks

I'm wondering what makes a pop-up login window run differently than inside a webpage.

I can't seem to get my login system to bring the user back to the page (brings them to a page can't be found) when clicking a form submit button when it is included in the webpage.

But if your in the popup page that I'm trying to include, it works no problem so I was wondering if it changes anything. Or if there is some sort of work around (such as embedding a popup window into the webpage).

say i have list and i want the correct children under each parent

so i have

$parent_id
$type
$name

in the db i have
4 parents each with 2 children

id=1 - type=parent - parent_id=0 - name=p1
id=2 - type=parent - parent_id=0 - name=p2
id=3 - type=parent - parent_id=0 - name=p3
id=4 - type=parent - parent_id=0 - name=p4
id=5 - type=child - parent_id=1 - name=c1
id=6 - type=child - parent_id=1 - name=c2
id=7 - type=child - parent_id=2 - name=c3
id=8 - type=child - parent_id=2 - name=c4
id=9 - type=child - parent_id=3 - name=c5
id=10 - type=child - parent_id=3 - name=c6
id=11 - type=child - parent_id=4 - name=c7
id=12 - type=child - parent_id=4 - name=c8

so how would i do the code?

i thought i could do it like this but its not working.

but they are not listed under the correct parent





i also tried moving the </ul> to the bottom but i get the same

Hi all,

title says it all:
how do I get the request_uri from the parent frame. I do not have editing acces to the parent frame, but I want to know what page is called to behind the slash. The tag it is in is frameset and then frame, so not iframe.


I hope someone knows the answer
