PHP - Why Does This Only Work In Ie, Not Chrome/firefox?

Hello,
New to file upload boxes, working in PHP.
My code seems to work great in IE, but not in Firefox or Chrome.

This form shows the input box for the filename in IE and Firefox (with a Browse button), but Chrome only shows the Browse button, no filename box.

IE will upload the file to the specified directory, then update the DB based on the filename.

Firefox will not upload the file, nor will Chrome.

Using SSL for all pages.

Using an upload class I got off PHPClasses.org - what's weird is I have used this same class on another project, and can upload files via Chrome.  Any ideas?

Here is the scenario:

I have phpbb installed inside of an iframe and I have all of these features working .....in firefox only:
Iframe re-sizes to fit content
external links within the forum open in a new window
traffic to my /forum directory is redirected (with a javascript window.location.replace) to open inside of the iframe

Essentially phpbb works perfectly in firefox

When I load it in either Chrome or IE:
My site index will load fine (as will any site feature that is not within the iframe)
When I attempt to load my forum or request anything within the iframe IE and Chrome show the page for less than one second then continuously load a 404 page within the frame

This leads me to believe that it is a problem with my redirect...but I have no clue.

Sorry for the long read.
Again this all works perfect in firefox but with IE and Chrome the iframe keeps reloading a 404 page after showing the requested page briefly.

Hi Guys....

I need to export data into excel file. So far its works on IE and Firefox. But if i using Google Chrome it download only php file. Eg(suppose file test.xls but it goes to test.php). 

Why it happen??

Chrome is the browser I use, I have it set up so that the script detects safari and chrome as separate entities. When I browse to it, it shows:

now I know stristr() is a case-insensitive version of strstr(), which will find the first form of a word in a string. The problem is that when I use it, the rest of the script doesn't work... it goes to the part as if nothing is there, and shows the text on the bottom. I can't figure out why. Can someone help me, is there a chrome/safari level of priority or am I just missing something?

Hi..,
I use below method to export data to excel.

if I run the script from the server. (http://localhost/export.php) it is work. (pop-up window if i want save or open the file)

but if i run the script from the client (http://192.168.1.5/export.php) it is not work. (nothing happen)

any idea how to solve this?

This one requires lots of up front information:

I have a page, for this example that I will call page.php. It takes get parameters, and for this example I'll call the parameter "step". So I have a URL like this: page.php?step=1 This page has a form with an action of page.php?step=1. The code on the page validates the posting information. If the information is bad, it returns the user to page.php?step=1; if it is good, it takes the user to page.php?step=2 via header( "location:page.php?step=2" ). So redirection is done by relative path, not full URLs.
This all works as expected.

Now what I've done is set .htaccess to be HTTPS for this page, via this code:

This works (initially). However, once you try to post the form, it just redirects back to the step=1 version of the page. I really don't know how or why that would be.

I'm not sure how else I can explain this or what other information you may have. But it's frustrating to not get a page working in HTTPS that works in HTTP. Very odd. Any suggestions? (I don't even really know the best location to figure out when/why it's redirecting back to the original page.)

Some of you may have seen one of my many posts about email issues.  Some users don't get them, and I have determined it is probably because we are marked as spam.   We are a service that grades sales team members on their phone skills.  Listening to pre-recorded calls, grading and uploading them to our site, and then another part of our business looks them over and sometimes leaves a message that then get's forwarded to this persons work email.   I have determined there is ways to get marked as spam as default by not having an opt out link.  This is not an option, these sales members employer has opted in, and the emails are going to work related accounts hosted at that employer.  Also, if one of these staff members is not so bright, or disgruntled they may mark us as spam anyways.  The bottom line is that we have very little control over whether we are or are not marked as spam.   So we want to start looking into sending text messages and this is where I start to question how good of an idea this is.   First off, if it was me, and the messages where being sent to a device that my employer did not provide, I would in no way want work related text messages coming to me.  Unless there is a vested interest in getting them.  IE, I'm the boss at this place and am always on the clock.  What if you are on the bottom?  It's just a job for you.   What if it is a pre-paid device, text messages cost money.  What then?  What if they don't even have, or want a cell phone?   The short of it is this.  If I'm at a job that is just another job, and this employer tells me that I have to get these messages.  I'm going to look for another job.  I see the organizations having continuous issues and complaints from their employees.  Thus us as a business having issues keeping clients.   What am I getting into here?  What are your opinions on this matter?  What are your recommendations as to alerting users of something on our site that we can rest assured are being received 100% of the time?   Thanks!   Nick

Hi, I'm not sure where the problem is here. Right now this site works fine in IE and FF, but then I try to load data from the database into the cart, it get's screwed up in Chroms and Safari.   FF loads

Can I create an alternative line of code specificall for Chrome/safari to remove the excess characters?
And why exactly are they reading the files with the full source locations vs firefox reading only the local location? It's completely unable to read the $product_name aswell. A bit strange, I take it those browsers process the specific information differently?

I haven't been working with php long and that my be the root of the problem here but your help is very appreciated. Here is the problem:

I have created a login system for a website everything seems to be working great in Chrome and FF. However IE8 is giving some problems. It acts as if my $username and $password variables don't get set. However, I have tried using echo and they print out just fine. I have tried rearranging my code and checking  the variables with inset() ...nothing I try seems to work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong you guys can help with. Thanks. (Code below)

Not sure where in the forum to put this one.  Has any noticed when you use pagination with Chrome 18, it tries to display a link to the next page and display what it thinks is the next page?  It really shows the last page and is confusing to viewers. Is it possible to have Chrome ignore pages?
