PHP - Adding A Local Nav To A Page
Hi everyone,
The website I am working on is http://teemagroup.com/puyafolder and I have a global navigation with a drop down menu. What I want to do is on the right side have a PHP code to pull sub-pages under the drop down menu that its in. I don't quite know how to write it. For example everything under "Client Services" would go on the right side of that page. You know, to make it locally available instead of a drop down. And this code would work with all other pages. It would just pull what's under that page. I've added some files for you if you need it. This is done in wordpress if you wanted to know. Similar TutorialsNewbie question. I have a form that uses reCaptcha. If the Captcha is entered correctly it posts the data. Can I redirect the page using php or do I need to use javascript? I was going to throw in header('Location: thankyou.php'); but from my limited understanding this cannot be used anywhere except the very top of the page. if (!$resp->is_valid) { // What happens when the CAPTCHA was entered incorrectly die ("The reCAPTCHA wasn't entered correctly. Go back and try it again." . "(reCAPTCHA said: " . $resp->error . ")"); } else { echo "Recapture entered correctly!"; // Just for testing purposes postdata($firstname, $lastname, $company, $email, $phone, $comments); // sends data to my databse // this is where I would expect to redirect to a new page } Thanks phpfreaks Hey guys I usually code in C and I started looking into PHP which I think is pretty good. I'm wondering if there's a function that can be used to execute a command from a remote server on my local machine??? As example if I'd like to have a PHP page/script running on my server which when logged onto would display me a page with buttons like "PING, NETSTAT, IPCONFIG, TRACERT" and when clicked on it would exec those commands but not on the server but from my machine??? So that I would get the PING from my local machine to google.com instead of from the server to google.com ??? making any sense ??? thanks hello - dear phpfreaks,
i portet over a wordpress site to localhost. (an opensuse linux-box) all went nice and was very smooth to do so. after porting over the files and the db; i added the db-name and user-name etc. but nothing more. then i looked at the site http://localhost/mysite i saw the site - but only once - that is very very interesting. i read that i have to do more. Probably these changes - mentioned below are mandantory in order to avoid a blank page cf: https://managewp.com...#comment-148613 The two fields you need to edit are “siteurl” (highlighted above) and “home” (which you may need to navigate to the second page to find). Just click the “Edit” buttons next to each field, and replace the URL contained in “option_value” with “http://localhost/yourfoldername/”. That’s it! If you now navigate to “http://localhost/yourfoldername/”, your site should load up in all its glory. Please note that if you use custom permalinks, you will need to change them to default (in the WordPress > Settings > Permalinks screen) in order for internal links on your site to work. You can of course change the permalinks back to their custom form at any time. question: is this true? Do i need to make these changes to avoid a blank page!? Hi, I am a php newbie, who has a page that relies on some php scripts, and to which I am trying to add a login page written in php. I took the example from he http://www.howtodothings.com/computers-internet/how-to-make-a-login-system-for-your-website Basically it consists of adding: <? require("log.php"); ?> to the top of any page I want to protect, a log.php file which performs the actions of the form, linking to a mySQL database, and a login.php file which contains the form. I have the login working fine, but it breaks one of the PHP scripts on the page that is protected. It is an upload script, called Weaverbox, based on FancyUpload. The uploads which are handled by a file called upload.php, aren't happening. The progress shows that they are being uploaded, but nothing is uploaded, and there is no success message. As soon as I remove the code from the top of the page requiring log.php all works fine again. I think I may have to add some rules/extensions to resolve this conflict, but I don't know how to go about this. Would someone be able to help me get it sorted? Thanks Nick Hi everybody. I am new to PHP and trying to alter a wordpress site. I am using a plugin called backend restrictor and it is a blanket restrictor of all backend functions except profile. I want to add some more urls other than the profile.php page to be allowed but I can't get it right. Can anybody assist? Code: [Select] add_action('admin_init', 'bur_plugin_enforceRestriction'); function bur_plugin_enforceRestriction() { global $current_user; if (current_user_can('manage_options')) { } else{ $pageURL = 'http'; if ($_SERVER["HTTPS"] == "on") {$pageURL .= "s";} $pageURL .= "://"; if ($_SERVER["SERVER_PORT"] != "80"): $pageURL .= $_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].":".$_SERVER["SERVER_PORT"].$_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]; else: $pageURL .= $_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].$_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]; endif; // allowed path(s) if ($pageURL == get_bloginfo('wpurl')."/wp-admin/profile.php"){ }else{ header("Location:".get_bloginfo('url')."/"); } } } ?> Hi all, I have a long script that processes only one image at the moment. What I am trying to do is put all the script in to a 'foreach' section so that I can process more than just one image. Could someone show me how to do this, putting all the uploaded images in to an array (i guess is the best option) and tell me what the form input names need to be below. The script I was trying to make in principle was: <?php $reg = "G-BAAA"; $count-number-of-files-being-uploaded = x ; // NUMBER OF FILES?? $number = 0; foreach $_FILES { // THIS IS WHERE THE IMAGES ARE UPLOADED AND THUMBNAILS CREATED. THE NAMES OF THE FILES ARE $reg.$number."."$ext; $number++; } ?> <form name="newad" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" action=""> <table> <tr><td><input type="file" name="image[]" ></td></tr> <tr><td><input type="file" name="image[]" ></td></tr> <tr><td><input name="Submit" type="submit" value="Upload image"></td></tr> </table> </form> Hi All. I have been really struggling with this for a while! When a URL loads I wish to load with parameters entered & those parameters entered on a page but cannot get my head round it. Any help will be much appretiated... So when a user navigates to www.test.com/page.php I wish to to actually pull back www.test.com/page.php?term=&submit=Go Any help will be really really appretiated. I have an 'I agree' button on this page https://www.setstuffrentals.com/credit-card-authorization/
I basically need the button to redirect to another web page after a customer hits 'I agree'. I don't know PHP much. Can someone help step by step, please? I just added a user log on for a site I am building using PHP. I used a simple session based system for this. I can log on just fine. What I am looking for is a way to pass on in ht session what rank a user is so some links/pages will only show for the admin or the super user but not the normal user. I rank the users as Admin 1, superuser 2, and user 3. This is what I have for the session in my header that allows you to be logged in. Code: [Select] <? session_start(); if(!session_is_registered(myusername)){ header("location:login.php"); } ?> Here is what I have that starts the session Code: [Select] //Connection stuff $query="SELECT * FROM user WHERE username='$myusername' and password='$mypassword'"; $result=mysql_query($query); $count=mysql_num_rows($result); if($count==1){ session_register("myusername"); session_register("mypassword"); header("location:index.php"); } else { echo "Wrong Username or Password"; } ob_end_flush(); ?> Hi iam currently writing some code for my website and i have a number of records that i simply want to display in a table format, i have done this in a while loop and it works well, however i only want to display a maximum of 10 records per page as my div needs to be a fixed height and was wondering how i could include a next button that would act as like a page number. The thing is at any given point there could be from 1 record to display to 500, so i need a way of allowing the user to quickly navigate to the other records. How can i do this without using mulitple pages. Hope this makes sense. Heres my code Code: [Select] <?php echo"<table width='100%' border='1' align='center'><tr><th>Referal Name</th><th>Amount Received</tr>"; while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($sql_info)) { extract($row); echo "<tr><td align='center'>".$username."</td><td align='center'>".$cumulative_referral."</td></tr>"; } echo "</table>"; ?> Thanks for your help I am looking to add a comment area to pages that are created with data that is pulled off of a database. I am looking for something like the forums on this site, but not as complex. I was thinking about attempting to use a text file to hold the comments for each ID number that is in my database and then displaying those comments when the ID number is called. I'm not sure how I would go about making a function that would search if there was a text file for that ID number and if not to create one. I'm not even sure if this is the best way to go about it but I know if I put all the comments into a database it will get rather large rather quickly. Any pointers and good tutorials would be welcome. Sorry if it sounds as if this post is rambling, I think I need to step away from the computer for a bit. Thanks hope someone can help me out here, stuck on this page... This page shows the details of the listing they had just clicked on on the previous page. this part works If the person logged in is the person who is looking at the page, the email section does not show. this part works However, the part I cannot get to work, is when the logged in user types their email message and clicks send email. at this point the details of listing stop showing please SOMEONE HELP ME thanks in advance, i hope Code: [Select] <?php // Start the session require_once('startsession.php'); // Insert the page header $page_title = 'Listing Details'; require_once('header.php'); require_once('connectvars.php'); // Show the navigation menu require_once('navmenu.php'); if(isset($_POST['submit'])){ $dbc = mysqli_connect(DB_HOST, DB_USER, DB_PASSWORD, DB_NAME); // Retrieve the user data from MySQL $query1 = 'SELECT email FROM ob_user WHERE username="' . $user_name . Is this possible? And if so, how? Example: primary ip: 4.5.6.7 secondary ip: 4.5.6.8 primary ip is used to host several websites the PHP script I made runs in CLI, I want it to access the external API from my secondary ip. Thanks! Hi, What is the best way to print the local date and time, my website have customers from 4 or 5 countries. Saudi - UTC+3 Dubai - UTC+4 India - UTC+5.30 how to print the local time for them Thanks, Hi ppl I have a weird error... (or at least i think its weird) I have a project with 3 forms, and at the end(the last file) will enter all data of this form in an email and sent it using PEAR smtp email. On my local server it works. Everything - from testing all the mandatory fields in each form till the sending of the email. I also receive the email using @localhost. When I upload these files to the server, every form with the testing of the mandatory fields and returning to that form, everything works, except the file where I test the last form and put all content in the email body. On the server, as soon as the last page starts to load, I get a Server Error HTTP Error 500. I really don't understand it, as everything works on my local xampp server. Please let me know of places I can search for errors... like log files on the server or something like that. Thanks PS: I also used NetBeans, with its debugger, so I am quite sure its not the code, maybe a php setting... I am trying to get local date/time. In my php file I am setting my timezone using $timezone = "America/Toronto"; putenv ('TZ=' . $timezone); Then I use the following to get current date and time print_r (getdate()); but my date displays in GMT, What am I doing wrong? As in the code above I am in Toronto and I need EST. I am trying to do age validation for a beverage site, and losing my mind. First time trying local storage (to persist across browser sessions) and I assume I have something screwed up. Anyone able to help me figure out how to make this work? <?php if( isset( $_POST['yes'] ) ) { localStorage.setItem('age_verification', 'true'); if( isset( $_GET['url'] ) ) { die( header('Location: ' . $_GET['url'] ) ); } else { die( header('Location: index.php') ); } } elseif( isset( $_POST['no'] ) ) { localStorage.setItem('age_verification', 'false'); } var age_verification = localStorage.getItem('age_verification'); //new if (age_verification = "false" || age_verification = "null") die( header('Location: http://www.bing.com') ); ?> Above is the code for the file checkagenew.php which I call from other pages using the below: <?php if (localStorage.age_verification) { localStorage.setItem('age_verification', 'null'); } var age_verification = localStorage.getItem('age_verification'); if (age_verification = "false" || age_verification = "null") die( header("Location: checkagenew.php?url=http://$_SERVER[HTTP_HOST]$_SERVER[REQUEST_URI]") ); ?> Obviously there is a form included in the top part (not shown) that has a submit for yes/no which triggers the $_POST validation... I did not include that for brevity. Hey all, this is my first post ever and am not really sure if this is the right place for it or not, sorry in advance if it isn't. I'm new to PHP and trying to learn. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and Firefox 3.6.22. I have libapache2-mod-php5 installed and running, but for some reason everytime I try to open a local .php file in firefox the download manager pops up and ask me what I want to do with the file. Has anyone else encountered this before? Is it something simple that I overlooked? Any help would be appreciated. |
