PHP - Php Menu "active" Button For Sub Navs

Hi guys

I'm struggling a bit, I need to replace a word that occurs multiple times in text with an array("up","down","forward","backwards") of words.


$find = "left";
$replace = array("up","down","forward","backwards");
$text = "left left left left";

echo str_replace($find,$replace,$text);


The Output is: array array array array

Did try this with a foreach statement as well, but no luck. Is there a better way of doing this?

Hi all I am new here and looking for some help, I am also not a PHP coder and learning as I go.

My problem is this

I have a script and have a header.php and global_header.tpl amongst all the other files that come in the script, I have a tabed navigation in global_header.tpl that I want to set to class="active" depending on what page is being viewed.

I have spent all last night and all of today going through google and yahoo trying all diferent bits of code but absolutly nothing works.

At the moment I have a file I made from some code found on google that I placed in its own .hph file named activetabs.php,I have included this in header.php using Code: [Select]

In activetabs.php I have

the tab becomes active but stays active.

Could any of you either show me how to get that code working or kindly provide me some working code.

If you look at this form: kmkwebdevelopment.com/formtest/upload.php you will see that when you click on the "add another upload box" button, instead of it adding another upload box, it is submitting the form for some reason. Can anyone see where the error lies?

I am getting the following error when using composer: "continue" targeting switch is equivalent to "break". Did you mean to use "continue 2"?

Just started.  I am pretty sure composer.json wasn't changed.  journalctl doesn't show anything.  Maybe Doctrine related, however, nothing seems to help.

Any ideas?

Hi,


I have set up 2 php pages

page 1 - add_entry2.php
In this page I have a invoice table created where I can dynamically add/delete rows. This has a View Bill button which takes me to page 2- add_entry3.php
In this page it shows up the rows added in page 1 in read only format, so if the user wants to modify the data that he/she entered then he must Click on <back> that i have provided in the page 2 which will direct him to page 1

Now the problem starts here
on click of Back the dynamically added rows dissappear..which is frustrating..I know its something to do with my code..but can anyone help me fix it.

One more thing is that i dont want to store the data into DB till the finalise button is clicked on page 2 so that means till page 2 is submitted nothing goes to DB from Page 1. 


I am able to retain values if I use the code Code: [Select]
<form action="add_entry2.php" name="eval_edit" method="post" format="html">
i,e if I submit back to the same page and retrieve values form $_POST


but If I use the code Code: [Select]
<input type="button" value="Back" onClick="history.go(-1);return true;">to get back to add_entry2.ph it looses all the values. Is there any other way to code the BACK link retaining my $_POST values(Do you think $_SESSION would work in this case?)

Hi.  I have just one question (I have searched for an answer for this but have not been able to locate one):

How do you go about changing the text on a "Submit Query" button to display simply "Submit"?

I am currently creating a form and I want to populate a drop down selection menu with data from two fields in a form. For example, I want it to pull the first and last name fields from a database to populate names in a drop down menu in a form. I want the form to submit to the email address of the person selected in the drop down. Is this possible to do? The email is already a field in the record of the person in the database.

Can anyone give me some pointers or advice on how I should go about setting up the "Select" box drop down? I am not sure how to code it to do what I am wanting. Any links to relevant help would be appreciated too.

I've searched but can't seem to find anything I can apply to this situation.  Most of the resources are dedicated to dropdown menu's from the same table. 

I have two tables 'regions' and 'cities' and I am looking to create a menu that lists all the cities within a region then moves on to do the same for the rest of the regions in that state:

State1
Region1
City1
City2
City3
Region2
City1
City2
City3
Region3
Etc

My tables:
States table: stateID, state
Regions table: regionID, region, stateID
Cities table: cityID, city, regionID

I currently have two pages- select region, then select city... I'd like to consolidate to one step after choosing a state.

I know I need a nested loop, (while?), and to count the results somehow to retrigger loop; also not sure how to handle two mySQL querries in the nested loop.  I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around it. Thank you.

I have a registration form on my website and after Registration I want the user to activate first his account. I don't have problem on sending this email to the user. What I want to appear is like this..

how can you actually do that? I know that you can do that through session variables but the thing is email's can't accept scripts on sending emails. how can I get the value from a session variable for example and convert it to plain html text so that i can OUTPUT it to the email.. HELP PLEASE!

how do I turn this into a switch?

but the very next elseif I have

is it possible to turn this into a switch with 2 different strings like that to evaluate?

I'm using sessions to store a username/password

For example, I have the following at the top of all my source files:
