PHP - Ending Incomplete Tags In A String Taken From An External Website

Consider the following POS-tagged string:

(It was not okay or funny and I will never buy from them ever again)

I want to accomplish the following:
Check for negating adverbs (RB) against defined array('not', 'never') When there's a match, remove the adverb Concatenate "not-" to the beginning of every subsequent adjective (JJ), adverb (RB), or verb (VB or VBN for past tense) Remove all POS-tags (/XX) Thus, the desired output would be:

It was not-okay or not-funny and I will not-buy from them not-ever not-again
My first thought was to do this the way I know how to: explode the string on space, then explode every word on "/" to [JJ => okay], then make a switch statement to treat every word (case JJ: concatenate, etc.), but this seems very sloppy. Does anybody have a more clean and / or efficient way of doing this, for instance regex? The strings have been pre-cleaned, so they will always only contain words (no punctuation, other characters than a-z, etc.).

Any tips, example code fragments, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

*Edit: I am aware, btw, of the very basic character of this way of treating negations, but it is good enough for what I need. There will be an error margin, but that's ok *

I have been trying to figure this out for a friend of mine that wants this done, but I have begun to think that it just isn't possible - for security reasons...

I need to run a HTML form on an external website for each url selected - so run through a loop processing the form over and over...

Something like:

I am thinking that without recreating the PHP script the site uses in the form, it can't.

I need to pass captured data, basically, a list of email addresses that are being read from a CSV file and (1st) saved to an local database, then sent over to an external source via URL string.

I have everything working except - script opens the file, read and validates all emails in the specified column, and saves to local db.

ISSUE: after validating then INSERTING the data into local mySQL db, I need to then pass each piece of data to an external source via URL string.
Example: www.domain.com?email={$new_email}

I was initially think to just add the URL in a header function but, I'm not sure if the HEADER() function the right method to pass all of the data - during the loop - via the URL string.

For example, if the CSV file contain 500 emails:

Q: how can I continue that loop until the last email read, passing each up to the external source via the URL string?

I'm not sure if using the HEADER() function at the end of the script - but within the loop - will interate and send each capture email via that URL string.
Can anyone advise a possible solution to this?

Is there a faster way to retrieve data from webpages faster since it only seems to do around 200 website line retrievals per minute?

I'm trying to find a string in a website. I want my website to get a string on another website(I have full access) without really opening it on a browser. For example the string is "MyID=123456", i want to find "MyID=123456"(the MyID number is random and always changing but always 6 random numbers) on another website and output only "123456" on my website. Is this possible?

Hello,

I have the $_session code working, but after I destroy the session and I am asked to log in again, my browser doesn't ask me for my password and just logs me in.

I don't understand because I have destroyed my session and I have deleted the data in $_SESSION and I have deleted the info in the cookie so it shouldn't log me in automatically. I thought it was something in my browser, but I erased my history and I never saved any password.

When I type the website in i first get prompt to enter my password, when I am authenticated the webpage says: You are now logged in click here to continue. When I do I am directed to another page which confirms that I am still logged in. Then I press refresh and the webpage asks me to "Click here to log in". I do, but it doesn't ask me for my password again. Why? My personal info should be destroyed.

It was supposed to make some images appear as thumbnails on the home page
my site, but they do not appear and I got the following error:

Hey guys. I am trying to strip everything between a key phrase and ending tag but for some reason it is not working. I always get blank data. I've tried many different ways but no luck.   basically I have a script that connect to imap and store emails into MySQL as service tickets. works great but I am trying to strip everything except for user reply because currently if a user reply to an email it re-inserts the entire email into MySQL. I added a key phrase at the top of all outgoing emails .   1. structure looks like this.   --Reply below this line to respond-- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Email body message...   2. When replying to the message it becomes   New Message reply......   --Reply below this line to respond--   old message body.     3. so I would only like to insert the new reply message only.     This is what I got so far.       $message=strip_tags($message, "<br><div><p><u><hr></section>");       $message=preg_replace("</p>", "br /", $message);

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to stop my script from offering a discount when the date that is listed passes by.  It seems to always 'reset' itself even after the 15th of the month...I want it to stop after April 15...This is what I had, can anyone assist?

Hi Everyone,

I wonder if somebody could help me. I have been at this for hours and am really struggling.

I have a timer which I have set up for a quiz.  The quiz opens in a javascript shadow box.  When the quiz is opened a session variable for the timer is set up to keep track of the time. 

What I need is for this session variable to end when the shadow box is closed. I have a onClose hook to peform actions when the shadow box is closed which is in javascript.

Obviously I cannot end the session variable in the javascript function due to js being client side and php being server side.

Has anyone any suggestions how I can resolve this issue.

I need to end this session variable as if the user exits the quiz and then selects another quiz to do the timer uses the current time session rather than assigning the new time value for that particular quiz.

attached is the complete copy of the code i am using, i have an email text box and label with the id 'email' also my method is POST and my action is Scripts/mailprocess.php.
