PHP - Call Php 'event' After Video Is Done?
Hello there,
I am going around and thinking of this is possible. Let's say I have a flash video player or something, and the thing I want to do is, that when the flash video is DONE playing, a PHP script/function will be made. How can that be done? I guess it should be a little bit like Lockerz. You know, when the video is done, you get credited. Any suggestions? Regards. It will also listen for update and remove and will make the appropriate HTTP request to the API but will not modify the entity. All works as desired... Almost. If when persisting the entity, I have some error, the remote API and my application become out of sync. I wish to change my application to perform a second call to the API if an error occurs and reverse the previous call. My thoughts on how to implement a Place a try/catch block when executing the query. Don't like this approach. Add an ExceptionListener which somehow retrieves the entity and makes the applicable changes. Maybe part of the solution, but too complicated to be the full solution. When adding, updating, or deleting a user from the remote API under UserListener's three methods, adding a callback which gets executed upon a PDOException. I think this is the best approach and expanded my thoughts below.

Okay, how do I actually do this? Was thinking of modifying UserListner as follows:

But when trying this approach, I get a PDOException, but my callback never gets excecated. I've also tried replacing KernelEvents::EXCEPTION with '\PDOException' (note the quotes) with no success. Any ideas what I should be doing differently? Maybe some totally different approach? I suppose I could make the request to the API after the DB query is complete for updating and deleting, but not for adding. For client authentication they gave us three certs, one root cert, one intermediate cert and a client authentication cert PROTPLUSSOL_SSOpem(it was a .pfx file). Since we are on linux we converted them to pem . In curl calls I could not find way to how to include both the root cert and the intermediate cert ,so I combined them by making a new pem file and copying the intermediate cert and them the root cert and naming it authority.pem . Hello, I've been trying this for hours now, looking at different examples and trying to change them to work for me, but with no luck... This is what I am trying to do: I have a simple form with: - 1 input field, where I can enter a number - 1 Submit Button When I enter a number into the field and click submit, I want that number to be send to the php file that is in the ajax call, then the script will take that number and run a bunch of queries and then return a new number. I want that new number to be used to call the php script via ajax again, until no number is returned, or something else is returned like the word "done" or something like that, at which point is simply makes an alert or populated a div with a message... The point is, that depending on the number entered it could take up to an hour to complete ALL the queries, so I want the script that is called to only run a fixed amount of queries at a time and then return the number it is currently at (+1), so that it can continue with the next number when it is called again. I would like to use jquery, but could also be any other way, as long as I get this to work. Thank in advance Ok, this is killing me, So I'm finally asking for help. I'm working on a website, which streams videofiles from external links. The site plays & allows you to download the videos from the same external link. I need to mask the url of these videos. At the moment, I have successfully masked the url when downloading. If you click the download image, rather than the path being http://externalsite.com/videofile.avi its http://mysitename.com/external.php?id=xx&mid=xx So that is nicely hidden. However, I am having a problem when it comes to the embedded player on the page. At the moment i am using flowplayer for flv & mp4 videos, and just the usual embed for avi videos. I made an html5 video player where the source is a php file. The php file is supposed to go below the web root and serve the video file to the html5 video tag. This all works just fine if the video using a script that uses HTTP_RANGE to serve the file in parts to the client. The problem is, once one video is playing - i can't do anything else. Its like the server locks up. I mean i can scrub that video, i can do anything to that page. I just can't navigate away. But i can open a new browser and play a new video. But again, once that first one is playing, or even paused, i can't do anything else. That is of course until i restart apache. Any ideas on how to stream these large files better? I have a feeling they are set to stream and never stop.
