PHP - Adding Images X Amount Of Times Depending On Table Value

Hi,

I have a 'pre-release' sign up form, where people put in their email address and name, and it transmits to a MYSQL database. That's working fine. What I want to do is to have a piece of text that reads:

(insert pre release amount of signer upperers here) have signed up. Will you?

I'm guessing that the amount of rows on the table, would end up being the number. How do I do this?

I have two tables categories and subcategories and what I want do is display them but here I ran into problem displaying the subcategories. Here's the code that doesn't work, all it does it displays categories.

I would like to know if there is a way I can check if a number is in a times table

for example

if(3 is in 4 times table){ do bla bla }
the result for above will be false as 4 times table does not contain 3

if(12 is in 4 times table){ do bla bla }
the above would be true

Ok, I need some serious help here.

I have a jQuery .load method that retrieves a single users name from a database. However... I also need to incorporate error checking into the script that the .load method access, so that, if the user enters a name in the field that is not in the database, it will insert it into the database, and then then pull it back out again to be returned by the ajax call.

So far I can get it to pull out a name that is manually entered into the database no problem. But I can't get it to insert a name that isn't in the database, and then query the database a second time to pull that same name back out again.

The page is pretty simple. The user comes to the page, enters their name in the text field, either clicks the submit button or presses the enter key. The scripts fire off the ajax call to the database, check to see if the name exists, if not enter it and pull it back out (this is where I have the problem), if so, pull it out and display it back on the page.

I'm new! I am trying to populate a list of locations based on ratings. I can populate the list just fine but it's displaying every record in the table. Is there a way of only looping 4 times so as to just display the top 4 records?

hello, all:

I'm a newbie, and been trying to work out a way so that the results from an array (or mysql recordset for that matter), are nicely aranged in a table. I want them to show in a grid-like manner, with rows and columns added according to number of "items".

I worked out this small code snippet, with a sample array, and for the life of me, cant figure out how to make it so it automatically "breaks" columns at 5 and start new row. I got it to show me right number of rows, but then it repeats all 10 names within them, as opposed to just showing 5 names in each row...

I want when a user inputs the requested data to the text fields , the script to insert those data in the prope table depending on the choise the user does by choosing one option from the drop down menu.

I'm collecting date/time information via a form and would like to convert the info into something that I can stick in my MySql database (a timestamp???).  I'm collecting the current month (variable name: month-- of the form "mm"), day (variable name: day -- of the form "dd"), year (variable name: year -- of the form "yyyy"), time of day (variable name: time -- of the form "h:00"), and before or after noon (variable name: ampm -- of the form "am" or "pm").  Any suggestions as to how to change this into a quantity that I can store as a value and then use to compare to other date/times would be appreciated.

I am trying to add 3 images to a file on the server.

The form is posted to a php page where I am trying to put the images in to a folder named aircraft.

I have tried echoing the values and they are correct. But it is not working for some reason.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hey everyone, im building a simple php portfolio website (header , index, footer)
I have 3 pages , about , contact, portfolio

If I add an image to the index page then click on my about page (no images) the whole site shifts to the right about 20px. If I remove the image and click the link everything is okay.

Anyone know what im doing wrong? Code below:

Hello everyone,

I have this very short script I wrote with help from a book using arrays and the rand function.
Basically it changes the images randomly on browser load or refresh.
However, I am trying to add an additional, not sure what to call it, a string or another caption for each images.

Instead of this being a caption, it will be a link, so a link will appear under each caption that goes to another page
when it is clicked on.

I tried adding another caption and adding a like to it but getting syntax error.

I have a store number that i want to add and echo. This resembles an invoice so i my table has unit_price and total_value which is defined by by multiplying unit_price and pieces. Now that i want to print invoice i want to know how to add all items that are from that invoice_id

I am trying to add a line to a table (actually a shopping cart) at the moment there is a box around the word Checkout and the lines are too close.
I've tried adding in a line using <tr> at the beginning and then </tr> at the end but am having no luck
