PHP - Problem With < Form Action Href ... Php Variable Not Working

How can I set a variable when <a href="#">Link</a> is clicked?

for example to set $variableX as integer of 1?

Hello Everyone,

I'm using PHP with MySQL.  One of the fields in the database is website.  The code I'm using is as follows:

variable:

$web=mysql_result($result,$i,"web");

html/php code:

<td><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><a href="<? echo "$web"; ?>">Website</a></font></td>

What it should do is have the clickable word Website with the correct url from the database.  Instead it's repeating the website the page is on.  For example it's doing this:

http://mywebsite/www.enteredwebsite.com

Any help is appreciated.

I have a php page that is trying to pass a variable like this:

Then when some one clicks on that link they variable with it's value should go with the url and I'm trying to assign a variable like this:

$company_name = $_POST['name'];

It is not working!!! I get that "Notice: Undefined index: name in 'directory of page' on line 100"

Can someone help please?

Here is the general over view.

I have a jquery script that automatically selects a group of sub categorys and pus them in a select list depending on the input of a first select list, so you can choose you main cat and then the sub cats for this cat appear in the next list, this all works fine, the basic code is below:

Hi, I have a directory page the displays all names beginning with B across 3 columns, that part works fine but when I try to add a link on each of the results the link doesn't work. It's not picking up the $id or $name variables for some reason, can anyone tell me why this is? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Im rebuilding my website and have decided to make the dynamic images for my main photography gallery be layed out using div tags and css.

I can get the images to load in and layout correctly but for some reason the links on the images only works on the last loaded in image. I check the code on the page and all the links are there but only the last one is active.

The code worked when it was all wrapped in table tags. Is this a PHP or css issue stopping all the links expect for the last to be active.

This is the css code I am using.

When I click the save changes button, I want the user to be brought back to profile.php. Right now they are being brought to editprofile.php. I currently have the form action set to editprofile.php . When the I change it to profile.php my fields won't update. Any thoughts as to where I went wrong?

Hey all,

I'm working on a website to show various products.  I am using PHP, HTML, MySQL.  I have a products page which shows a table of products (either all or just products from a specific category).  Currently, the page works fine, shows an image, brand, name, and price of each product.  However, when I have tried to make the image and the brand and name a link, it doesn't fully work.  In the page source it will show correctly, but on the webpage itself I cannot click on the links.  I have scoured various forums and manuals and have tried all the various ways to code the <a href=> but it still does not work right.  Here's a snippet of the code with the link...

I have even tried putting the <a href="details.php?id=<?php echo $row['id']; ?> ... </a> just between the <td> and </td>.  I still can't click the links on the page, even though they are technically there.  The page source will show <a href="details.php?id=1"> ... =2"> ... =3"> ... etc for each product that is displayed.  If I actually type details.php?id=1 in my browser and go back to the products page the text will change color to the "visited link" color.

Any insight into my dilemma?

I've heard multiple recommendations when a form needs to post to itself.  Some say use PHP_SELF, others say leave it blank (even though it doesn't validate), etc.  Please provide the best practice, and reasons why.  Thank you

Im having some problems with my PHP program...
Im trying to get the imformation send to my inbox, but when i push the submit button; i get no email and the "thank you message" is incomplete..  (see attachement: thankUmessage.png)

My question is, when someone make same html form with action that goes on same php file on my server, so i need to know, can my site be hacked in that way ?
I mean if i have form that goes on file /sources/add_user.php and when someone make same html form that goes on www.my-site.com/sources/add_user.php and in that way to add users on my baze ?

I was wondering if it was possible to change a forms action field with PHP.

Basically, if there are several checkboxes for the user to select and a specific checkbox was selected, how would I redirect users to an alternative webpage on submit?

I've been playing around with several methods, and one of them was:
