PHP - My Form Isn't Accepting Inputted Values?
Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to figure out why my my form isn't accepting any values I put into it. I've been trying to figure this out for the past 2 hrs and I'm stumped. Any ideas please let me know. Thanks everyone! http://whatsmyowncarworth.com/auto/form2.php Code: [Select] <?php include('init.php'); $firstname = mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['firstname']); $lastname = mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['lastname']); $address = mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['address']); $state = mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['state']); $city = mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['city']); $sql="INSERT INTO customers (first_name, last_name, address, state, city) VALUES('$firstname','$lastname','$address','$state','$city')"; if ($firstname && $lastname && $address && $state && $city) { } else echo "You must fill the entire form!"; ?> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> http://whatsmyowncarworth.com/auto/form.php Code: [Select]

Firstname:

Lastname:

Address:

State:

City:

Similar TutorialsHi I would like to add a subject field to my contact form, where the user can select from certain subjucts or enter his/her own subject. What I have so far is: Code: [Select] Select... Option 1 Option 2 Option 3 Option 4 This is only the select part of the form. When I use it like this, I get the input text field outside the dropdown list. I would like it to be inside the dropdown list as an option, and once selected, give you the input text field where you can enter your own custom subject to be added to the email that will be sent. I have a form to search through apartments but if one field (rent) is not filled the php script cannot process the search. This doesnt work: $embed = $_POST['mixembedlink']; if (preg_match('//',$embed,$preg_out)) {; $width = $preg_out[1]; $height = $preg_out[2]; $url = $preg_out[3]; echo 'WORKING'; } else { echo 'NOT WORKING!'; } This however does work: $embed = ''; if (preg_match('//',$embed,$preg_out)) {; $width = $preg_out[1]; $height = $preg_out[2]; $url = $preg_out[3]; echo 'WORKING'; } else { echo 'NOT WORKING!'; } Can anyone shed some light on why this is? The form names are exactly right. I think i've checked and renamed them about 10 times each. I checked with firebug and compared the POST value to the string in the one that works and they are exactly the same. I can't figure out what the problem is at all Hi guys, I am creating a quiz system for my personal site, I am done with all the quiz questions creating part, but I am stuck with something like... user taking a random sql generated quiz and submitting it.. Here's randomly generated sql quiz, even the answers are in random order: 1. What is color or sky

sky

blue
<-- true
red

2. What is name of my cat

brat
<--true
rat

3. What is name of my pet

cat
<--true
dog

 Now this is tricky part for me is.. receiving these data in another page.. since it's randomly generated questions, how do I know which question it is? here's example I've tried : $list_all_quiz_questions = $db->get_row("SELECT question_id, its_true_ans_id FROM question_table WHERE quiz_group = 'ef23fsdfers3e' "); $i = 1; foreach ($list_all_quiz_questions as $myquestion) { $answer.$i == $_POST["question_".$myquestion->question_id."_answer"]; //?????????? not working lol ;(( $i++ } Hi, I've just installed a guestbook but when posting a message (signing in) it shows 'no entries yet'. On clicking the submit a very quick screen splashes up with a load of writing out of whoch I could just read ...line function open data file... You can check it out at www.qualitycarersdirect.com/careasp/portal.asp then click on 'post on the baord' it is a php file. I manage a simple website for a small business - nothin fancy. I'm interested using some php to enhance the site a bit. I'm looking to accept some user input and put it into a database then display it back to them on another page. What php functions would be best to use to accomplish this? Thanks for the input! I’ve got a well proven php-mysqli website that works perfectly on desktops. It requests the email and password on the login page, taking that data and inspecting it before processing further. I’ve designed the presentation using CSS to be responsive and it’s working well, except for ..
.. when I used it on my Nexus 4 and 7 the web site appeared. I touched the menu item ‘login’ and I entered both the correct email and password. However, the application bounced back as it should if either the email or password was wrong. So I inserted PHP scripting and confirmed that the site was receiving the correct email but a wrong password. The logic is 100% proven and the data entry correct.
Is there something with the google nexus (and smartphones in general) that disallows web site passwords until some parameter is set? I'm hoping a responsive website developer accommodating nexus 4 or 7 can assist here.
Not sure if this is in the right forum (if not can a mod move it please).... Im creating a site that is based on a subscription basis. Therefore i need to allow the user to input their card details for me to store to allow payments every month (and also for them to update when needed). How do you recommend storing card details in the database, im guessing its not secure just to store them as plain text? Opinions needed hi i was wondering how i can display the values for a form that already in db. users submitted a form and then when they log in to their profile they can change the value in a form, but the original value would show the one that they first submitted. makes sense? at the moment its set as blank, how would i display the option value to the one in the db on their profile? thanks Code: [Select] ------ In process Withdrawn Hi, how would i display the date that is already in db and was submitted by user when he logs in to their profile? That code below works for the values like 'approved' 'denied' so on, but how would i do same for a date? thank you. Code: [Select] <?php include('config.php'); $uname=$_SESSION['username']; if($_SESSION['username']){ $sql="SELECT ApplicationStatus FROM table1 WHERE uname='$uname'"; $result=mysql_query($sql); $row = mysql_fetch_array($result);} echo ' ------ <option value="In process" '.(($row['column1']=='In process')?'selected="selected"':'').'>In process <option value="Withdrawn" '.(($row['column1']=='Withdrawn')?'selected="selected"':'').'>Withdrawn '; ?> Hello Everyone.. Im a programer in php with little experience. I have a form with 3 pages. 1st page display categories which come from category table. then user can select 1 or upto 3 category there. Then 2nd page display that selected categories and need to display relevant subject to that categories. In second page I use radio button for selected categories to keep a one category as a main category. each categories' subjects display with check boxes. In there too, user can select 1 or 3 more subject in to a particular category. In third form page, that my problem was encounter, there I need to print out selected category and their subjects in a table. first two pages are no problem for me and third form I have a problem in how to get categories and their subjects and they print as apiece in the page. like this category1 | subject1, subject2, subject3 category2 | subject1, subject2, subject3, subject and so forth. This same to my first form page Code: [Select] $q = 'SELECT * FROM category ORDER BY category_id'; $r = mysqli_query( $dbc, $q); $c = 0; $i = 0; echo ''; echo '

'; while($row = mysqli_fetch_array( $r, MYSQLI_ASSOC )){ // if remainder is zero after 2 iterations (for 2 columns) and when $c > 0, end row and start a new row: if( ($c % 2) == 0 && $c != 0){ echo "

"; } echo '
<input type="checkbox" name="category[]" value="' . $row['category_id'] . In third page that my problem page I tried something like this , but its not working. value come from subject.php page. Code: [Select] if ( ( isset($_POST['submitted2'])) && ( isset($_SESSION['category'])) && (isset( $_SESSION['subjects'])) && sizeof( $_SESSION['category']) == 1) { //$_SESSION['category'] = $_POST['category']; print_r ( $_SESSION['category']); echo 'good'; } elseif ( ( isset($_POST['submitted2'])) && ( isset($_SESSION['category'])) && (isset( $_POST['main_category'] ))) { print_r ( $_SESSION ); echo 'very good'; } So can any body tell me where is my mistake and help me fix this problem. any help greatly appreciated. thank you. I have a form for a sign in page that I want the label for the form field to actually be displayed in the text box and clear when the box is selected to enter text. I've accomplished this using the code below and it works fine. The problem that I'm having is in IE the password field does not change to display dots or asterisk in place of each character. It works fine in Fire Fox but not in IE. Is there way to accomplish this using php or so that it is compatible with most browsers? Here's the code that I'm using: Code: [Select] <?php echo " "; ?> On one of my calculators : https://bizztools.net/2017/qccu/bizztools2015_budgetTest.php
When you press on the envelope in the middle you can send a form to yourself. I've added the code in the file that gets used to send the form to the person's email.
for ($i = 0; $i <= 79; $i++) { $item_Annual[$i] = number_format($_REQUEST['itemAnnualDisplay[$i]']); } Body: (each line of the form has a different value for $item_Annual) from 1 to 79
'.$currencySymbol.$item_Annual[1].'

for ($i = 0; $i <= 6; $i++) { $incomeSubtotal += $values[$i] * $periods[$i]; $itemAnnual[$i] = $values[$i] * $periods[$i]; $return['itemAnnualDisplay[$i]'] = $itemAnnual[$i]; } //New addtions are lines 3 and 4, the others were already there
Now, I've done some process of elimination and when testing to see if $periods[$i] and values[$i] would show up on the form, the values were zero for each. So each $itemAnnual[$i]is calculated to be $0. You can see from the form screenshot, the subtotals are calculating, but the individual items are not. Could this have anything to do with the form on the calculator page? It's in bootstrap.
Help please!!
I've got a form that submits values to itself and the user input values are saved into the database in a table with an auto incrementing ID. After SUBMIT is clicked, it reloads the page and all the values are gone, I'm wondering how I can get it to keep the values so that the user can make a single change and resubmit again. I know I can save all the values into the session or in the URL or pass them through $_POST in an array but I'm wondering what is the proper way to do this. Thanks. How does everyone take data input from an HTML Form and convert it into an Object in OOP? I am thinking it would be better if user inputs resided in an object so that I could manipulate the data in OOP terms instead of referencing the Form procedurally. I have a project I'm working on and am having some issues. I'm trying to build a web-based FTP program for a client. I have all the ftp stuff down packed, but I'm having issues with connecting to a local computer. I can get the directories an a local disk viewing and changing just fine, my problem is I'm wondering how I might pass each value of the array generated by the scandir() function into a form element value such as a checkbox. The furthest I've been able to get with this is displaying the last object in the array. Here is some code: <?php foreach ($d as $key => $val) { echo "

".$val."

"; ?> All I get is the last item in the array. any help is appreciated. Hi, I'm trying to pass values from an array into a form. As a newbie, I've came up with the code underneath, but I want to pinpoint all the first values toward 1 selection list in the form. Any suggestions how to accomplish this? Thanks in advance. Ruud

Test formulier

Test formulier

<?php $prijzen = array( array("01", "125","150", "A" => true,"B" => true), array("02", "125","150", "A" => true,"B" => true), array("03", "125","150", "A" => true,"B" => false), array("04", "125","150", "A" => true,"B" => true) ); ?>
 <?php while(list($key, $val) = each($prijzen)){ while(list($key2, $val2) = each($val)){ echo ''.$val2.''.PHP_EOL; } } ?>

This is really cool if I can get it to work My PHP CODE: Code: [Select] $ids = implode (",", $ibforums->input['checkbox']); Grabs from this data in my HTML FORM: Code: [Select] Now when I pass my input, I will get 2 different values in both array's how do I separate them out? I know how to seperate them out using implode, but I need to seperate BOTH of the array's that are being passed, and I need to use them separately. Well, folks, thanks to all the help, I've narrowed my problem down to needing a way to allow a variable value to traverse into subsequent calls of a function. I have a simple integer - "companyID", and it's set in "actionfile.php" which is called by two forms. The first time it's called by Form A, it's set. I'd LIKE to put it into $_SESSION, but apparently $_SESSION is zeroed out before I can use it in the second call to "actionfile.php" by Form B. A new form/function call is a new session? I've tried setting it to global and static, to no avail. Anything more elegant than writing the value to SQL for later retrieval? Thanks! Mark |
