PHP - Mysql Data Displayingas Links In Php Page?

Im getting some data from a database. Im showing them in a php page. well its like this... Its a song and lyric site. Im displaying the whole song titles and lyrics when a user search. there's separate page to list all the songs available. Which displays all the TITLES of the songs. How can I make those Titles LINKS to view the lyrics when clicked?? A tutorial regarding a thing like this would be much helpful.. Thanks... I encountered a difficulty with getting information back from a link. I've checked several sources how it is possible, with title 'Facebook Like URL data Extract Using jQuery PHP and Ajax' was the most popular answer, I get the scripts but all of these scripts work with html links only. My site all with php extensions and copy&paste my site links into these demos do not return anything . I checked the code and all of them using file_get_contents(), parsing through the html file so if i pass 'filename.php' it returns nothing supposing that php has not processed yet and the function gets the content of the php script with no data of course. So my question is that how it is possible to extract data from a link with php extension (on Facebook it works) or how to get php file executed for file_get_contents() to get back the html?

I have a php tutorial that I followed for creating, inserting, selecting and updating a MySQL database with php. Everything works fine so I wanted to put it into Wordpress. I took the code and placed it into the wordpress page and everything worked just fine except the update function. Here is the tutorial I used. http://www.phpsimple.net/mysql_insert_record.html It is also the part I am having trouble with. I am able to create a record and I am also able to select a record but when I choose "update" the form doesn't load the data. It will outside the website but not inside wordpress. I am hoping this is not vague but because of my inexperience I am not sure what else to say. I will be more than happy to provide any other information you need. Hello to all, I have problem figuring out how to properly display data fetched from MySQL database in a HTML table. In the below example I am using two while loops, where the second one is nested inside first one, that check two different expressions fetching data from tables found in a MySQL database. The second expression compares the two tables IDs and after their match it displays the email of the account holder in each column in the HTML table. The main problem is that the 'email' row is displayed properly while its while expression is not nested and alone(meaning the other data is omitted or commented out), but either nested or neighbored to the first while loop, it is displayed horizontally and the other data ('validity', 'valid_from', 'valid_to') is not displayed.'

I have code below (last code listed) which processes a dynamically created Form which could have anywhere from 0 to 6 fields. So I clean all fields whether they were posted or not and then I update the mySQL table. The problem with this code below is that if, say, $cextra was not posted (i.e. it wasnt on the dynamically created form), then this code would enter a blank into the table for $cextra (i.e. if there was already a value in the table for $cextra, it gets overwritten, which is bad). What is the best way to handle this? I'm thinking i have to break my SQL query into a bunch of if/else statements like this... Hi there I'm trying to work out how I'd go about searching my database for URLs that have been submitted by users that are duplicates. Now this isn't as simple as http://www.example.com/something.php and http://www.example.com/something.php oh no! People have entered links such as http://www.example.com//something.php or http://www.example.com///something.php The script (I didn't write it) currently see's these links as unique, but they're not. They function exactly the same way. Anyone have any advice on how to weed these out? Hello, I have a quick question about methods for retrieving records from a mysql table and displaying them as a links For example, imagine I have three tables called countries, cities and city_info. I'd like to be able to select a country and have a list of that country's city names returned as links. I'd then like to be able to click on the link for London, say, and that would trigger a mysql query to retrieve the entry in city_info about London. Are there any functions that allow this? I want the form data to be 1) stored into a mysql database AND after storing said data, 2) email the same data to our sales department. 1) The form data DOES get stored into mysql database (except for the first two fields, for some weird reason) 2) I added a "mail" section to the php file that stores the data into the database, but it is not working correctly. I have stripped the email portion down to sending just one of the fields in the "message" to make it easier for troubleshooting I have included here, both the form section of the html file, and the formdata.php file that processes the data for your analysis. I am relatively new to php so there are going to be some issues with security, but I can work on those after I get the store & email process to work correctly.
