It is not mandatory to fill in every box, but when I submit the form to be put into a mysql table, I get errors such as "Incorrect time value: '' for column 'starttime' at row 1" "Incorrect decimal value: '' for column 'workkj' at row 1" How can I setup the mysql table to accept blank answers? I get an error because explode thinks I'm just sending it one argument since the string is held by an array element. I would like to split the field specific location on a page into two fields. The odd thing is that if I don't have an image to upload, it will still run the script but it will completely skip over the description. If I upload an image, it works fine. I need to search in two tables (news and pages), I already had sucess doing my search system for just one table, but for two tables its not easy to do.
I already use a select statment with two tables using UNION because I want to show number of search results, that is number of returned rows of my first sql statment.
But now I need to do a select statment that allows me to acess all fields of my news table and all fields of my pages table.
I need to acess in my news table this fields: id, title, content, link, date, nViews
I need to acess in my pages table this fields: id, title, content, link
Im trying to do this also with UNION, but in this case Im not having any row returning.

I am very new to PHP & Mysql.
I am trying to insert values into two tables at the same time. One table will insert a single row and the other table will insert multiple records based on user insertion.
Everything is working well, but in my second table, 1st Table ID simply insert one time and rest of the values are inserting from 2nd table itself.
Now I want to insert the first table's ID Field value (auto-incrementing) to a specific column in the second table (only all last inserted rows).

Output is attached.Heja I have a MySQL database which contains information of members and the current balance of there accounts (eg: $1000) it also shows there current gain (eg: 1.2%) what i have been doing is individually updating each clients percent and balance. What i'm trying to work out is how to add a percent gain for the week and both the percent and balance of the clients are updated according to the submitted gain for example: Client 1 has $1,000 and has a current gain of 1.5% Client 2 has $,2000 and has a current gain of 2.5% I want to update both clients by 1.5% and then both clients be updated like so: Client 1 would now have $1,010.50 and now has a gain of 3.0% Client 2 would now have $2,020.50 and now has a gain of 4.0% I was looking around and could find much information on the internet or exactly has this can be achieved so i started to work on a addition and try atleast add the % however it dont go accordingly, i suppose im very rusty at my php.
