PHP - Checking If Checkbox Is Checked In Array
Hi all,
I have been trying to figure this out for a few days already and can't seem to figure it out. I want to display a few images with a checkbox next to it so I can delete multiple images at once when I press the delete button. My problem is that I can't seem to figure out how to check if the checkbox is checked. if I uncheck one of them and click the delete button it deletes one from the array but I don't know which one was unchecked. For example if I uncheck the second one the array shows: Array ( => on [1] => on ) but I don't know which of the three was unchecked? I want to show checkbox is checked when there is entry of that id in a table in my database.
I have 2 tables page and access_level. I am getting data from page table and displays it in <ul><li> tag with checkbox to select all or only few. After selecting the checkbox, i will store only selected checkbox value in access_level table along with table id. Page link and page name details will be stored in page table.
Now if i want to edit , i should display all the pages which is there in page table and i should also mark checked to those which are already stored in access_level table.
I am using LEFT OUT JOIN, It displays all the pages. But it is not displaying the check mark to those which are already selected.

In access_level table i do not have page ids 8 and 9. But i want to display that also from pages table and for 1 to 7 and 10 i should display check mark.
How i can achieve this? Please Help
I am simply trying to keep a check box checked once selected. What I have works, but not correctly. Because I am calling each array element in my checkbox like name="checkbox[]" And I am using this as the input return the check: <input type="checkbox" name="checkbox[]" value="checkOneValue" <?php if(isset($_POST['checkbox'])) echo "checked"; ?> /> I have 5 checkboxes that use the same code! And as I said it works, but returns ALL checkboxes as selected when submitted. I only want the actual selected boxes to remained checked. Any insight on a work around? The problem is I cannot solve how to identify unique array values as they are all named the same... Maybe I am not thinking right on all of this. Default is to send ads in newsletter but if you don't want to send ads through newsletter then check the box. The problem is, it seems like checkbox selected is not being picked up. Hello, I'm new to the forum so bare with me. I'm trying to take data entered into a text box on a form and have that data checked against an associative array. I've attached a .doc with some pictures showing how the data should be displayed. It's the checking part that I'm having trouble with. If the input word matched the varName of a set variable, we can then assume that word was in the array and return TRUE. Pretty straight forward and I've tried about 3 different approaches to this, including: in_array and flipping and checking for isset(array['value']). The array that is being checked against is usually upwards of 15000 elements. I would appreciate any knowledge that helps understand any issues in searching large arrays and good ways to get around them, or if it's just an error in my coding/logic, let me know! I have this. <input name="delete[]" type="checkbox" id="delete" value="1" /> What I want to is get the value from this which is the "1" AND Get the id which would be "delete" I can get the value but i cant seem to get the id This is what I have been using foreach($_REQUEST['delete'] as $index=>$val){ echo $index; echo $val; } echo $index just gives me the num of array I am on and the $val gives the actually value.
