PHP - If Statement Error.
The second $navigation variable I have set is where the issue is coming from. It seems I am not aloud to set an if statement within a variable. Can someone please show me a work around to this issue? Any help would be very much appreciated.

I verified the format of the statement at https://www.w3schools.com/php/php_mysql_prepared_statements.asp but am unsure if it needs to be in the PDO_Connection_Select.php, or it belongs where I have it since the db is already connected. I have some PHP code as show below and every time I add the code at the while loop which starts while($select_stmt->fetch()), I immediately get an error and my page did not display. I downloaded the Zend Studio IDE and at the same line it highlights an error which states "Multiple annotations found at this line. Syntax error unexpected ->, unexpected ')'.
I have no clue how to resolve the error as I am new to PHP programming and the "Fix" option from the compiler offers no suggestions.

However, once I click one of the links it falls back to the log-in page, and it ends up being a never ending loop. It's doing this: Log-In --> Page with links ---> Log-In page again Should be doing this: Log-In --> Page with links --> Add Product page or View Products page I can never get into the the actual sub page. Just to be clear, the address bar actually shows product=add or product=view, but it still shows the log-in page. I am a new developer, trying to figure out what causing a memory error. The code goes through registered appointments and depends on the service ID, I have to free a 45 minutes for another service to be booked. Everything seems to work fine when/if I use the following SQL query (which can also be seen commented out in my code towards the end of this post) :
