PHP - Search By Field - Code Edit
Hi all,
been asked to add a search by model number facility to this website click here for website As you can see the main search facility works just fine and is handled by process.php, but, and for the life of me I can't see why not, I can't get the specific 'search by no.' to work! I have a search results page that has a URL of: results-page.php?make=FORD&model=TRANSIT--2000-on++Standard+LOW+ROOF+Models&submit.x=22&submit.y=7 Can i create a button or link on that page to adjust the start of the URL but keeping the dynamically created end part? i.e: new-results-page.php?make=FORD&model=TRANSIT--2000-on++Standard+LOW+ROOF+Models&submit.x=22&submit.y=7 I Hope this makes sense. I have code to search a database of members, I can search by lastname but having a little problem. I want to be able to search by lastname starting with the first letter. (ie: a or b or c or d and so on). As it is right now I can only search by first letter of last name if I add % to the search (ie: a% b% c%) will give me all members with the last names starting with the approiate letter designation. I'm not sure how to handle this, any help would be appreciated. Thanks. How to edit my source code so the output prints correctly ?
Hey. So basically I am working on a simple project, I am no PHP expert, I only know a bit of the basics. This project is simply a "performance monitor" script. I have the parts to add records etc. I am now starting to tackle the next phase of the project that is to modify the records to give "infractions" or "bonus". Here is a screenshot of my current "players" table, so you can see the structure and what not: INFRACTION/BONUS A box to add or subtract "points". I am thinking along the lines of a number text entry with a radio button for options for either BONUS(add) or INFRACTION (subtract) NOTES Just a simple text box for comments. TIMESTAMP I will do this easily with a field on the SQL table What is wrong with the above PHP code I have for the dropdown box? Also how would I go about making this a usable form? I simply want to create new records with all of the above data on a new table I will create called "infractions". I have a MySql database and wondered if there is a code to search a table field with a given string and display the number of unique occurrences.
The table is asterisk_cdr and would like to know how many calls received daily on a perticular channel.

This is kind of hard to explain, but I will try my best. I have a script that is attempting to display information in a MySQL database by month fields that are chosen by the user. For instance, they can choose for the start date to start in January, and pick the end date which in this example will be April. The script then puts the required field that match the specific dates into a column for each month. For the most part it outputs fine as: Jan: 15, Feb: 14, Mar: 9, Apr: 2. However, sometimes there is nothing in the database for certain months. This causes the script to display wrong so instead I get: Jan 3, Feb: , Mar: , Apr: . In the above example, the Jan: 3 might be wrong, because the field might have been for Mar instead. I need it to display like this when there is no fields in the database: Jan: 0, Feb: 0, Mar: 3, Apr: 0. How would I go about doing this? this is the creation table code.the database is testing. So, my idea is to merge those two texts in some new variable, so the search function should see those two texts as a one whole text, not checking them one by one, like it does now with the first code above. Here is one example, just to simplify my explanation: Ad Title: nokia phone on sale Ad Description: brand new, unpacked, with 16gb memory card included. Ad Merged: nokia phone on sale brand new, unpacked, with 16gb memory card included. While merged, it should have empty spece between them. I need to be able to send an email from a form. Within the form is a dropdown field for different regions. When a region is selected it sets the email address for that region into an input/text field. I need to pickup that value and send the email to that address but not sure how.
