PHP - Php Template Page Populates Page Using Mysql 'by Link Clicked'?
Hi,
Is it possible to build a PHP Template page that selects and publishes a row of data from a MySQL Database when a linked is clicked? I would design: Template.php Text links (perhaps on homepage of navigation bar): ProductA, ProductB and ProductC If you click link ProductA Template.php would display data for ProductA and likewise for ProductB and ProductC. I would also like search engines for find ProductA, ProductB and ProductC PHP pages. Hi guys.. 1st post here. I'm pretty new to php.. just a few weeks in. I've gotten pretty decent at making mysql connections and extracting data, but now I'm wanting to take one of my urls that I echo to my page and create a new page. Hoping someone can help... Here's the pictu MY MySQL Setup: I have 1 table called table1. It has 2 columns which a 'Title' & 'Description' My Index.php Page: I connect to mysql. I pull the 'Title' from MySQL and loop it to produce 100 rows of data that fill my index page, as expected. My Problem: I now want to be able to click one of those rows and dynamically create a new page (description.php) that includes the 'Title' & 'Description'. My Progress: I've managed to click a row and create a hyperlink to mysite.com/$title (where 'title' is pulling the 'title' from the mysql db) but I all I get is page not found. My Question: How do I tell description.php to pull the 'Title' and 'Description' and link to it from index.php? My Gratitude: Thanks in advance! People upload photos to my site. They go into a gallery. They are all linked. Right now when you click one they go nowhere. I want to be each photo to open in its own page with my comment system already on it. Thought I'd be able to do this myself but ran into a couple of snags. This is the template page for the image thumbnails. WHen a thumbnail is clicked it is dragged into this template. I put the code for the comments on the page but it's just not working properly. When I post comment the comment posts but the picture turns into my BAD PHOTO ID error message. Wordpress has the ability to recognize a custom page and make it available to select it and use when you are logged in in the pages section of the admin ui. To make it work you add this:

It did not pull the styling/formatting. We’re using GeneratePress Pro + Generate Blocks (no page builder). The static page is built with Gutenberg and GenerateBlocks. By the way, I'mm not a coder or a developer. I know a little about this and about that, but this isn't my field of expertise. Hello, I had a web page which had sharing (share issue on facebook, twitter....) and I want to record what each user had shared. So, they will click on alink to share it. I want to call a php function when the user click on a link, whats the best method to do this? Thanks in advance I have a "Members" page that displays my organizations members info via My SQL. Currently, the database displays "State" quick links at the top and has the members organized by State down the page. If you click on one of the State links at the top, it will navigate to the section of the page with that state and associated members. I want the members associated with a specific state to be displayed only once I click the associated state link -- instead of all of the information showing at once like it is now. I have a page that reads from a database to list employees from different states. Under each name is a link that pulls up a new window with a contact form. My goal is to get the name from that link to appear on that new window. (Which I will then use to ultimately add the name into the email that was generated so the recipient can know who the email was intended for.) I've tried using the GET and POST methods but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated greatly. I will name my firstborn after anything you desire. I've included my code below. Or by any reasonable stretch of the imagination. Anywhoot, what I'm struggling with is this: I have laid out the website so for each of the core business units there is one php page, call it 'page x'. On page x there are two sections; a sidebar and a content section. At the top of page x there is a menu bar with a links to a different category (eg. services, products, about, contacts, etc). What I have at the moment for page x is an INCLUDE statement in each of the subsection which pulls through a html page and plops it down in the right place. What I am struggling with is how to use the links at the top of the page to pull through a different html page depending on what link I click. I was thinking that I could use something a couple of variables, $sidebar and $content, and then some kind of on-click function to pass a string to each of the variables and then use the INCLUDE statement to call the correct pages. I know with a submit button I can have a new record created when clicking it, but is it possible to do with a text link?
