PHP - Save Image To Directory Using Curl
How can i save image just assume that i have
"test.jpg" and wish to store the image to directory "directory A" using Curl..how can i do that? thanks in adv Similar TutorialsI'm trying to save images from a directory into mine. To get the image I am having to take the email from a database, split it and take whatever it is before the '@' sign and add it to "-S.jpg". I wrote the script and when I echo the variable it shows the correct thing, but when it tries to save it , it is trying to find the image as "script>-S.jpg". It looks like it is taking whatever is after the last '/' which in the variable since I am running javascript it is going to be </script> if you look at my variable $url. Here is the code below. However in the header that i get there's plenty of Set-Cookie: 2. I've set CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER to false, however I still see the webpage when I run cURL. I even deleted the portion where I echoed the buffer (I used to have CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER set to true). So instead I'm supposed to upload the image to a directory, and store the link to that directory in database. First, how would I make a form that uploads the picture to the directory (And what kinda directories are we talking?). Secondly, how would I retrieve that link? And I guess I should rename the picture.. I'd appreciate any help, or a good tutorial (Haven't found any myself). Can I get some help or a point in the right direction.
I am trying to create a form that allows me to add, edit and delete records from a database.
I can add, edit and delete if I dont include the image upload code.
If I include the upload code I cant edit records without having to upload the the same image to make the record save to the database.
So I can tell I have got the code processing in the wrong way, thing is I cant seem to see or grasp the flow of this, to make the corrections I need it work.
Any help would be great!

But I can't seem to get it working 100%. When the form is posted the cropped image is not created and I get a "The connection was reset" error. The problem here is that the image will be appearing on several users website and i want to be able to save the number of times it has appeared on my database. I know how to do this if the image was on the same server as the database, but not when the image and database are on completely different servers. I then found this link: http://www.edmondscommerce.co.uk/php/php-save-images-using-curl/ which talks about a problem with allow_url_fopen and uses CURL to grab images from another site... however I cannot use CURL as it is disabled. Is there a way of writing an image to a server another way? Is there a way of doing this via fopen?
