PHP - Selecting Answers For My Poll Form
What I'm trying to do is have it select the answers that are associated to that poll so that I can make a poll form out of this.

I've searched a bit, but I don't know exactly what to search for. It's important that there are several pages and clicking between them don't refresh the whole site, but only the part where the visitor i.e. clicks/submits. I've got a couple hundred people who use this on a regular basis and are starting to ask why it's not working. I'm developing a form which is essentially a simple set of radio buttons. Conceptually, it is like this:
Please select a theme from the list:
o Black
o Blue
o Red
[Submit] [Reset]
I'm actually showing a slideshow of images showing the appearance of each of the themes in a slideshow that only shows one image at a time. I want my users to click on the image that represents the theme they want and, ideally, not have to click on the Submit button at all.
Then I will save the name of the theme they chose in a cookie (if cookies are enabled).
Many years ago, I dabbled in things like CGI and I have a vague recollection, possibly faulty, that it's not difficult to make a form that has only one set of radio buttons treat the selection of one of the radio buttons as a Submit. I don't remember how to do it though.
Can anyone advise me on whether it is indeed possible and, if it is, how I make the selection of the radio button cause the form to be submitted?
Right now my application only displays the answers and problems when the user hits the score button. But when the user hits the score button I want my application to only display the problems that the user got wrong in the test. I would like users to be able to click a print preview button, then open up FoxIt or Adobe and display the PDF, with their answers mapped to the correct location. Basic question and answer problem, where I am developing a website that uses Items and questions like " How many of this Item do you need?" the answer seems to simple. Lets say the answer Is "1". The display is given to the Item list and we move on. Here is the Problem: When selecting Muiltiple Items in the List and they all have the same question associated to each Item: "How Many Items do you need?" the the answer is shared between the Items, Again, sounds simple so far, However, when the USER selects Multiple Items on a list say 30 Items then the Question should only be dispalyed one time, not 30 times, then the answer is shared 30 times. Thats what I have now being displayed on my website, 30 of the same questions over and over again. The USER will get frustrated and leave the site never to return. Question: How can I get the Question to be displayed only once, but shared between several items on a list? This is a very serious problem fo my website because I will have not have just one Item on a list but 300 to 400 items, and if I get the answer to the problem I have just wasted 1 year of my life developing something undevelopable (is that a word?). I've just learned the basics of MySQL last night and made a simple app (where a user enters a song name, song title, and rating (out of 5) and it displays the list of songs with the highest rated songs first). I came across a javascript type quiz that seems to do what I have in mind, but it needs to be tweaked and coded in php. The reason being that anyone can browse the javascript source code and cheat. I need to create a PHP script that detects the presence of a new file appearing into a folder, and process it. This HAS to be supported by Windows IIS (Have looked at FAM for Linux but can't use it). I could do a loop with some sleep that checks the directory every x seconds - but this has been discounted by the client as either a) too resource hungry or b) not quick enough if there is a delay. But instead of radio buttons and a submit button I want to use images with jquery handling the submit when a choice is made. I have found 2 tutorials that each accomplish part of what I want. The poll script generates its html inside of a php function. In the code below I have commented out the line ( getPoll(1) ) that calls the function and replaced it with the html it generates to make it easier to see what is going on. Another problem is each form has a different action so both actions somehow need to be combined together into a function. I was hoping someone might want to see if they can combine the two together and post it as a tutorial or demo.
