PHP - Css Show Confused When Including File
I don't know if this relevant to php or css
in my template folder I have file named (index.template.php). It contains this code <?php echo '<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <meta name="Keywords" content="BHL-SimpleTool Content Manager System" /> <meta name="Author" content="BHL-SimpleTool is coded by Othman A. But when I include index.template.php in my main (index.php) the top margin show a big margin from the top Note: I included (index.template.php) in my main (index.php) like this: <?php function __autoload($class_name) { require_once 'classes/Sessions' . '.php'; } $sessInfo = new Sessions(); $sessInfo->RunAllBhlSimpeToolStuff(); ?> Similar TutorialsHow can i find out parent (including) file of included file? Lets imagine that we want to for example auto_prepend file to each file on our server that would write out the name of file its being executed. I know, i can use PHP_SELF but what if i want to write name of file which is already included? I have a web page and i want on it show its name even if it was included, but not the included page itself is showing name but auto_prepend file to each php file, its duty of this auto_prepend_file to write it out i dont want myself to echo it on each page? do you feel me? Hi everyone.... I have a simple search.php And I want to include that in my html output page. I tried using <?php include ('search.php'); ?> Below is my HTML code which is part of a php file...what am I doing wrong here? Code: [Select] // Final Output echo <<<__HTML_END <html> <head> <title>Photography</title> </head> <body> <table width='100%' border='0' align='center' style='width: 100%;'> $result_final <?php include("search.php");?> </table> </body> </html> __HTML_END; how to get the name of the file including a file from the included file, This one has me mixed up a bit.. I am trying to record site activity information from a common.php file using a user object. But since the file is included into different php files based on different situations I need a dynamic way of finding the file name that is including it. I could be over complicating things but right now this seems like the best solution other wise I'll have to rewrite the code on every page i write. Is there a function for doing this? Or if someone gets what I'm trying to do if they could point me to the direction of some more information on it. Thanks. The root directory:
header.php
stylesheet.css
In the following example I am trying to include the header.php file in a sub folder.
When I include the header.php like in the following example then the stylesheet.css file will not work anymo
<?php include("../header.php"); ?>The stylesheet.css file is included in the head tags of the header.php file. Is the above example the right way to do it? If yes, how can I do it so the stylesheet.css file will work too. See if I can explain this right.
I am currently using static files for a very basic set of pages.
Right now i have a main file that has three includes. a header include, body and footer.
Due to needing to add pages, i don't want to keep adding more and more files. instead I want to use php to change one of the includes based on the url.
so thissite.com/index.php?lesson1 would change this
<?php include("header.php"); ?> <?php include("content-lessons.html"); ?> <?php include("footer.php"); ?>to this <?php include("header.php"); ?> <?php include("lesson1.html"); ?> <?php include("footer.php"); ?>or whichever way would be the best way to set the second include. my guess was that if the second line had something like this? if(isset($_GET['lesson1'])){ include('include/in-'.$_GET['lesson1.html']can someone give me a starting place here? i am pretty sure i can pick ti up if someone gets me going in the right direction. thanks a ton. Edited by story97, 12 January 2015 - 09:03 PM. Suppose, i have created a sub.domain.com and i want to include a file 'config.php' from root directory i.e domain.com . While i tried include("../config.php"); i wasn't successful. Anyone can help me please?? I need the solution very urgently, so please help me soon. pracasify@yahoo.com facebook.com/agptj Or is it all pieced together into one file then executed? I ask because I'm thinking of a weird way to handle errors on my site that would integrate with the interface smoothly without much work on my part. Every page on my site requires template_top.php at the start of the script and template_bottom.php at the bottom. I believe this is a pretty common thing to do, and it standardizes all my menus and interfaces and whatever else, plus it gives me a nice place to deliver messages to the user. What I want to do is something like this simplified example: template_top.php: <?php // layout stuff here try { ?> index.php: <?php require_once('template_top.php'); // a wild error appears! throw new Exception('oh no!'); require_once('template_bottom.php'); ?> template_bottom.php: <?php } catch (Exception $e) { echo 'An error occured! Message: ' . $e->getMessage(); } // layout stuff here ?> So that's where my question comes in. Both template files contain code that, if executed on it's own, is invalid. Pieced together in my pages though, it forms correct code. I'd really like to do this since all I'd have to do if my script encounters a problem is throw an Exception and everything is instantly handled without me having to fight with display issues. If this isn't possible, does anybody have any better suggestions? //if any items in order table then display all items in order table $order_sql = "select * from orders"; $order_result = $handle -> query( $order_sql ); if($order_result->num_rows) { echo '<table bgcolor=#FFFF66 ><td>'; while ($order = $order_result -> fetch_assoc()) { $category_sql = "select category from category where category_id = {$order['category_id']}"; $category_result = $handle -> query( $category_sql ); $category_name = $category_result -> fetch_row(); $menu_sql = "select item_name from menu where item_id = {$order['item_id']}"; $menu_result = $handle -> query( $menu_sql ); $menu_name = $menu_result -> fetch_row(); echo $category_name[0] . ': ' . $menu_name[0] . ' ' . $order['size'] . ' ' . $order['type'] . ' ' . $order['amount'] . '<br />'; //insert data into order.txt file for print $file_insert = $category_name[0] . ": " . $menu_name[0] . " " . $order['size'] . " " . $order['type'] . " " . $order['amount'] . "\r\n"; @ $fp = fopen( 'order.txt', 'ab' ); if($fp) { fwrite( $fp, $file_insert, strlen( $file_insert ) ); } else { echo 'could not insert data into order.txt file for print, CLICK ON NEW ORDER'; } fclose($fp); } I have got a flash file that is stored in the database. So I fetch it and put it in a variable then put the variable in the flash embed code where the src is but the flash comes up blank. $file = "SELECT * FROM table WHERE column='$name'"; $file2 = mysql_query($sqlfile); $file3 = @mysql_fetch_assoc($file2); $file4 = $file3['gamefile']; //skip some code to html embed section <object width='550' height='400'> <param name='movie' value='valuename'> <embed src='$file4' width='550' height='400'> </embed> </object> then the page comes up with a white box which when you hover over it says 'file not loaded'. my code look like this Code: [Select] <ul id="navigation"> <li> <a href="index.php?page=profile.php">Profile</a></li> <li > <a href="index.php?page=product.php">Products</a></li> <li ><a href="index.php?page=service.php">Service</a></li> <li ><a href="index.php?page=promotion.php">Promotion</a></li> <li ><a href="index.php?page=contact.php">Contact us</a></li> </ul> . . . <div class="content"> <?php if(empty($page) or $page=="index"){ include ("profile.php"); } else { include ($_GET["page"]);} ?> </div> It works well on appserv, but when i uploaded to server ... it's not working.. what to do? It's performed perfectly when i included common_lang.php and login_lang.php. However when i include common_lang.php and profiles_lang.php something weird happens. I have a blank space at the top of the profile pages. And firebug reports that the content of <head> is now empty and its shifted all of it to the <body>. Like i say this only happens when including profiles_lang.php but works with other files like login_lang.php. The content of each language file is the same apart from the data in the array. $l = array( 'USERNAME' => 'Username', ); this is the language class which is being called in profiles.php like Asf_Language::loadFile('profiles'); The same call is used in other pages replacing 'profiles' with the name of the language file to call. <?php /* ASF A Simple Forum * (c) ASF A Simple Forum 2010 - 2011 * * @licence http://www.asimpleforum.co.uk/licence * * $page includes/languageClass.php * $author Carl Markham * $created 14/06/2011 */ class Asf_Language { public static $lang; public static $phrases = array(); public static $loaded_langs = array(); public function __construct($default) { $this->setLang($default); self::loadFile('common'); } public static function setLang($lang) { self::$lang = $lang; } public static function getLang() { return $lang; } public static function loadFile($file) { $include = dirname(dirname(dirname(__FILE__))).'/languages/'.self::$lang.'/'.$file.'_lang.php'; if(file_exists($include)) { include($include); self::$loaded_langs[] = $file; foreach($l as $key => $val) { self::$phrases[$key] = $val; } } else { echo 'File '.$include.' does not exist'; } return; } public static function getLoadedLanguages() { return implode(', ',self::$loaded_langs); } } Anyone have any ideas why the head is being emptied when this file is being included? Hello everyone, This is a fairly simple question, but the explanation of the question isn't... I'll do my best. I have a site where my folders/sub-folders/files are arranged similar to this: _ Root Folder -| Root-IncludeFile1.php | Root-IncludeFile2.php | _ | Sub-Folder 1 -| Sub1-File1.php | |_Sub1-File2.php | _ | Sub-Folder 2 -| Sub2-File1.php | |_Sub2-File2.php | _ |_Sub-Folder 3 -| Sub3-IncludeFile1.php |_Sub3-IncludeFile2.php Hopefully that makes sense to everyone. Anyway, I know that to include a file that is in the root folder in file in a sub-folder, I can do this - include("../includefile1.php"); -but I'm trying to include a file that is in a sub folder in a file that is in another sub-folder. For example, I'm trying to include "Sub3-IncludeFile1.php" in "Sub-File1.php" I'm lost on this because I can't get it to work. I'm not getting any error messages except to say that the variables located in the file that should be included are not found. I've tried to do this: include("http://www.mysite.com/Sub-Folder3/Sub3-IncludeFile1.php"); and it doesn't work. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance for your help.
