PHP - Text Field -> Time -> Calculation
Ok so I basically have two textfields and a submit button.
The first text field basically allows the user to input a duration of an event in the format of Hours:Minutes:Seconds such as: 02:30:00 is two and a half hours. The second textfield allows the user to put in an average time 'something' does something in the same format as above. Convert the normal text info into actual time data. 2. Divide the duration by the average timing so for example: 02:30:00 (150 minutes) / 00:20:00 (20 minutes) = 7.5 (Would return a rounded down number or up, doesn't matter) then store the number as a variable that will be echoed later. I've been stumbled into a situation wherein the user have predefined time (this will be the expiration time) and the system will have to compare the user time based on server time. hi, I have some code that deals with sending out reminders for appointments due the following day. So if today is the 21/3 then only reminders for appointments due on the 22/3 should be sent. Currently this isn't happening... If reminders are sent on 21/3 at 9.50 am, my code adds 24 hours to this datetime and sends reminders due for all appointments that fall bewteen 21/3 9.50am and 22/3 9.49 am. What I want to do is simply send all reminders for appointments that are on the 22/3 exclusive of time. I want to know ahead of time about bandwith usage, I have a 3TB limit per month which may seem like a lot but what if thousands of users are accessing/using files that are between 2 to 10 MB each? Uploading, viewing, scrolling, text...
This calculation also applies to storage
I haven't really given this much thought, I'm just curious, I have a lot to do and I would like to start amassing information ahead of time

This code works just fine to display a list of reservations for a given day and sums the guest and table counts just fine for the entire day. Sums all reservations returned.
What I am trying to do or figure out is a way to get totals based on specific time intervals. For example how many guests and tables at 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, etc....
I can see where the sums are calculated, but need help adding a way to add a variable to look at the reservation_time and sum by hour rather than just daily total.

My situation is that I will have multiple devices writing to a database, and in one case the time that is being kept track of is important. And the devices writing to the database are a bit difficult to keep accurate times on, so instead of writing the time from the devices themselves, I was hoping I could just have a field update itself. I know it can be done on INSERT, but I do not want to do an INSERT every time.

And for time right now im using Code: [Select] <?php echo $row_rs1['updtime']; ?> which displays time as 11:03:05 I want to display time as HH:MM only, how can i do it? But when I echo the timestamp field it does not display correct UK time for the record (an hour behind correct UK time).
