PHP - How To Submit Form 5 Submits Per Day Limit!
Similar TutorialsSo I posted something like this a while ago but i didn't get any particularly good answers so I redid it. this is what I have now. It takes clicking the reply three times before it changes changes the form but then after that initial session of reply button clicks it only takes two which is what I want. This is the last thing on my forum (at least till I find some other bug :p) and I need it fixed but I can't figure it out. IT\t wouldn't be a huge issue but the thing is that the first reply you make someone would fill it all in and then press reply then they would lose all their stuff and have to start over before it was submitted, Help please! thanks! Each one when selected acts a filter. I would like to submit the form when the user changes the value on each list.menu: I have tried adding an onchange="this.form.submit()" command on each list/menu but only the first one works. I guess the form only recognises one submit item. Is there a way to get the form to submit on each of the three list/menu items ? The values are generated as either text and select box input. Right now, I have all the submits named differently (ends a number), so I can loop through all available submits based on the number to check which row needs to be updated, and to retrieve the values during form processing, then only perform the query. I have also hidden input in each row to send the "primary key" that is used during query. Is there a better approach than to have so many different names for the buttons, not having to loop through all of them each time, and still keep a similar layout? I'm trying to avoid anything else than PHP. The table looks something like: col1____| col2_______| col3____|__________________ txt input | select input | txt input |save bttn | delete bttn txt input | select input | txt input |save bttn | delete bttn Hello, I've looked around at some previous posts and can't seem to get them to work for me. I'm occasionally receiving blank emails from my contact form, i.e. Name: Email: Subject: Message: with no fields filled out. No doubt the cause is my form. It has validation, and I'm aware that with JS turned off, the validation won't work, but I find it hard to believe that people are just submitting blank forms, I'm confused, and am worried that I'm getting emails and not realizing it! My code is below, if you can point me in the right direction or point out the problem area that would be great! website is: www.ed-yu.com Code: [Select] <div id="contact_box"> <h3>Questions?<br />Comments?<br />Just get in touch.</h3><p>(use the form below, or email edward@ed-yu.com)</p> <form id="contact" method="post" class="form" action="js/contactengine.php"> <p class="name"> <input type="text" name="Name" id="Name" /> <label for="Name">Name</label> </p> <p class="email"> <input type="text" name="Email" id="Email" /> <label for="Email">Email</label> </p> <p class="Subject"> <select name="Subject" id="Subject"> <option value="000" selected="selected"> - Choose -</option> <option value="General Question">General Question</option> <option value="Photography Inquiry">Photography Inquiry</option> <option value="Web-design Inquiry">Web-design Inquiry</option> <option value="Love Letter">Love Letter</option> <option value="Hate Mail">Hate Mail</option> <option value="Website Feedback">Website Feedback</option> </select> <label for="Subject">Subject</label> </p> <p class="Message"> <label for="Message"> </label><br /> <textarea name="Message" rows="20" cols="20" id="Message"></textarea> </p> <p class="Submit"> <input type="Submit" name="Submit" value="Send Email" class="submit-button" /> </p> </form> </div><!--contact_box--> Code: [Select] <?php $EmailFrom = "ED-YU.com"; $EmailTo = "eddytheflow@gmail.com"; $Subject = "A new ".mb_strtolower($_POST['Subject'])." from ".$_POST['Name']." When I have added text with the form to the MySQL database... 2. ... and I have clicked on "page reload" in Firefox to reload the page... 3. ... then the before submitted text gets submitted again to the MySQL database. So basically, add text with the form to the MySQL database, reload the page in Firefox, and the before added text will get submitted to the MySQL database again. My Question Is: What is the proper way to avoid this? Edited by glassfish, 06 October 2014 - 10:18 AM. I have a html form that submits to another website. Everything works fine in firefox and chrome however the data is duplicated in IE. Is there some quirk in IE when submitting a form to a different website? I have an existing GET form that I use and want to write to a MYSQL table everytime a user uses that form. Code: [Select] <FORM ACTION="https://someurl.com" METHOD=GET> Would the easiest to be a javascript function that uses the onclick event? What would be the best way to continue to pass the user along while capturing data and writing that to a MYSQL table. Thanks! Say I have an "Entries" table. I want to submit same multiple entries using a form submission. And If I have other queries submitted in the same form, I want those quarries to be submitted only once. Is that possible to do? Here's my code. if(isset($_POST['submit'])) { $entries = 10; $id = 55; $name = 'Smith'; $insert = $db->prepare("INSERT INTO entries(id, name) VALUES(:id, :name)"); $insert->bindParam(':id', $id); $insert->bindParam(':name', $name); $result_insert = $insert->execute(); if($result_insert == false) { echo 'Fail'; } else { echo 'Success'; } } ?> <form action="" method="post"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="SUBMIT" /> </form> Edited January 13, 2019 by imgrooot Hi. Pretty straight forward I guess but as the name suggests am a newbie. I have a form that requires the user to enter certain parameters. If the values are blank it submits to itself and loads the error messages. What I want to do is create PHP code that submits the form to a different url. What I thought was create two forms (the second with hidden fields replicating the first form), each form having a different url in the action"" code. What I cant work out is the PHP IF ELSE code to submit form 2 if Form1 is is validated correctly. This is the PHP code relevant to the form validation. Help? <?php //If form was submitted if ($_POST['submitted']==1) { $errormsg = ""; //Initialize errors if ($_POST[width]){ $title = $_POST[width]; //If title was entered } else{ $errormsg = "Please enter width"; } if ($_POST[drop]){ $textentry = $_POST[drop]; //If comment was entered } else{ if ($errormsg){ //If there is already an error, add next error $errormsg = $errormsg . " & content"; }else{ $errormsg = "Please enter drop"; } } } if ($errormsg){ //If any errors display them echo "<div class=\"box red\">$errormsg</div>"; } //If all fields present if ($title && $textentry){ //Do something echo 'THIS IS WHERE I WANT THE CODE TO SUBMIT FORM 2 or SUBMIT FORM 1 TO A DIFFERENT URL'; } ?> Unless buffer overflows or breaking out of code to perform a new command are problems that have been solved.... I am trying to figure out the proper PHP method for setting a boundary on a variable within a script. I have this variable $name which is fed a value from $_POST['name'] from a form field. Now this form field is limited in the HTML to accept only 20 characters, but someone could easily edit the form or outgoing post data. So I want to know how to limit the variable size in the script. In other languages it could be something like this: var name(20). So how do I do that in PHP? Hi, I wanted to know if it is possible to have multiple contact forms on my blog that basically send questions to different email accounts, but also have a limit of say 5 emails per week to each account. After the limit of 5 has been sent for that week I can display a message stating the weekly limit has been reached. I need to this as I am trying to an experts Q&A section but the experts only agree to 5 emails every week and don't want any more emails than that. I was thinking about using the Contact Form 7 plugin for Wordpress for the multiple email accounts bit but don't really know how to do the weekly limit. Any help with how to do so would be much appreciated. Thanks how do I make this form here have a limit on the value's name, then it moves to the next line? Code: [Select] <form action=\"reply.php?com_id=$com_id\" method=\"post\"> <font color='brown'><u><input type=\"submit\" name ='submit' class=\"link\" value='$title'></u></font> </form> I'm trying to add a file size limit to my upload form-code (below) Hello, first time poster.. I've looked the web over for a long time and can't figure this one out. - Below is basic code that successfully checks MySQL for a match and displays result. I was debugging and forced the "height" and "width" to be 24 and 36 to make sure that wasn't the problem. That's good.. - I'd like to give the user ability to select width and height from a form.. and have it do an onchange this.form.submit so the form can be changing as fields are altered (thus the onchange interaction) - In a normal coding environment I've done this numerous times with no "Page cannot be displayed" problems. It would simply change one select-option value at a time til they get down the form and click submit... but in WordPress I'm having trouble making even ONE single onchange work! - I've implemented the plugins they offer which allows you to "copy+paste" your php code directly into their wysiwyg editor. That works with basic tests like my first bullet point above. - I've copied and pasted the wordpress url (including the little ?page_id=123) into the form "action" url... that didn't work... tried forcing it into an <option value=""> tag.. didn't work. I'm just not sure. I've obviously put xx's in place of private info.. Why does this form give me Page Cannot Be Displayed in WordPress every time? It won't do anything no matter how simple.. using onchange.. Code.. $con = mysql_connect("xxxx.xxxxxxx.com","xxxxxx","xxxxx"); if (!$con) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } mysql_select_db("xxxxxx", $con); $myprodwidth=24; $myprodheight=36; $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM product_sizes WHERE prodwidth='$myprodwidth' and prodheight='$myprodheight'"); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { echo $row['prodprice']; } mysql_close($con); <form method="post" action=""> <select name="myheight" onchange="this.form.submit();"> <option selected="selected" value="">select height</option> <option value="xxxxxxxxx.com/wordpress/?page_id=199&height=36">36</option> <option value="xxxxxxxxx.com/wordpress/?page_id=199&height=36">48</option> </select> Hi all, What I am trying to achieve is, I thought quite simple! Here is a synopsis of what is happening. 1: User enters donation amount and clicks 'submit' 2: Is taken to a confirmation page where they must agree to terms 3: User fails to agree to the terms, the page is reloaded with an error message, and the donation amount is set to null I want to make the donation amount display despite multiple confirm page reloads.
