PHP - Pagination Class Not Working

I want to make it so I can display something like 1...8 9 10 11 12 13...28 (when you're in the middle) 1 2 3 4 5 6...28 (when you're in the beginning) 1... 23 24 25 26 27 28 (when you're at the end) Just like its setup on these forums. The number of numbers in the middle, in this case 6, would be defined as well. Can someone point me in the right direction? The only thing I am having trouble with is which page number links to display and how to do it. I want three links to display before the current page, and three after it. for example: if the current page is 11, then the links displayed should be 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. I'm having trouble coming up with an if statement that makes sense. Maybe I need more than one, I don't know. How would you suggest I do this? The output of the page has the following informaton: Page:1 PerPage:2 Total:15 Total Pages:8 Has Prev Page: Total Pages:8 Has Next Page:1 So i know all the variables are right, the problem is, it only prints a bold "1". Thats all, no numbers, or Next Page option. However i use the EXACT same code in another couple pages, and it works fine, but with this current page and a few others. It does not work. I have also tryed extracting just this information into a blank file to just get the page numbers, taking out all the pages other code, and it still only gives me "1". Any ideas? Hey guys, i was wondering if any1 cud help me. I have a database search engine that I'm currently working on, everything seems to be working fine locally including pagination but as soon as i upload the site online, the pagination doesn't work properly. when you use the search bar the results on the first page are correct, but as soon as you click next or page 2 it automatically returns wrong data. how can i fix this since it works fine locally???

Hi all, I created a page template at http://www.durgeshsound.com/gallery/ Here my pagination buttons are not working. this issue arises when permalink format is http://www.example.com/sample-post/ But when I set permalink format to default (www.example.com/?p=123) then it starts to work and creates a working pagination link like this http://www.durgeshso...e_id=81&paged=2. I want this format http://www.example.com/sample-post/ in the links. Please help. In other words I am trying to turn this function in to a usable class. I changed my navigation function to a class and it converted flawlessly (yay), the "scripture class" is not being so nice. It just occurs to me if you pull the post into a variable then you're inviting insecure code into your script. Though i am a complete noob at this so might be talking rubbish! I also thought that you could make a method static, and do this: (assuming class A's test is 'static') class B { function test() { A::test(); } } But that is not working.
