PHP - Php Created Button To Refer To A New Page
I am a newby using php as the backbone for my web design, with a help from phpFreeks, I have come along way in a short time.
Below is a short script of two buttons created with php, how can I use the buttons to link to a new web page (similar to using "href" in html)? I would like to use the php created buttons to keep the general look and feel to my site the same through. In advance, thank you for the support... This is the part in my normal page that shows the buttons: echo "<form action='processButtonsDdr.php' method='POST'> <input type='submit' name='display_button' value='homepage' /> <input type='submit' name='display_button' value='new entry' /> This is a snippet from my two button process page: <?php if($_POST['display_button'] == "home page") { ????????????????? // what do I enter in this area to point the button to another webpage? } else { ????????????????? } ?> Similar Tutorialsi have created an object in one page. it has a submit button which upon clicking opens a new page. is it possible to access that created object and its data members in that second page? here is the code for creating the object in the first page. $viewcart = new Cart(); $viewcart->GetProductCart($user); I have heard there is a way to convert an html document to pdf with fpdf. I will need to pull information from a database though so it will be a php file instead. Does anyone know of a way to convert a php output to pdf in the same way? Hi, I'm trying to make a gallery, and it more or less works. But I don't like having to load so many images for the user to view.
What happens is I have a very basic method of loading the images into the index file using require.
<?php foreach (glob("*.jpg") as $filename) { echo "<div class='itemContainer'><img src='" . $filename . "' class='item' id='" . $filename . "' /></div>"; } ?>Pretty simple. but it just loads everything in the directory. What I'd like to do is make it so 30 images load, and then it creates a new "div container" and loads the next 30 in. As well as a page counter, and a next and previous button. I'm not too sure how to control the flow of information from PHP to the index file when using require. Or if this is even the right way of doing it. My thoughts are sorta like this $imageCounter = 0; $newPageStandard = 30; foreach($imageDir as $image){ // echo image; $imageCounter++ if($imageCounter == $newPageStandard){ $newPageStandard += $newPageStandard; // increase standard for next page if there are enough images //create new image container(div) //somehow re-direct the echo into this new image container } // continue echoing images }Something Along those lines. Is this at all on the right path, or should I be grabbing all the images, and stuffing them into an multidimensional array and breaking each array into segments of 30? Or perhaps another completely different method? (yeah I dont have a clue what Im doing atm) Edited by 7blake, 10 November 2014 - 06:37 AM. http://2eastvalleyhomes.expandyourwebpresence.com/ In this site on the right widget the search option opens a new page and directs you off the page. I have created a page not visible on the home page called MLS and I would like the search on the right side to have its information populate in a page I created in my wordpress site, does any one have any suggestions or any ideas for this thank you for any help. I have created a login page, but i want the users to be directed to another page only if the login details are correct. How would i do this?any help is appreciate. Coding for the PHP is below: thank you. Code: [Select] <?php $username = $_POST["username"]; $password = $_POST["password"]; //This if statement asks if the $username variable is set. I think cookie is not created as well.......... I can't understand where is problem???????/ please help me.................... Hi again.... I'm working on a project that creates a profile page for the user (i.e. 'username.php') when they register. Because there are two ways to register, through Facebook and through the website itself, there has to be an if statement in this page that it crates as to which ID to use for that user. Because Facebook usernames are not unique, we must identify a user through their OAuth User ID which is a 10 digit number. When a user registers through the website itself, usernames are unique so their profile page can be ID'd by their username. Here's the code that creates that profile page: function createProfile($user) { $userFile = 'users/'.$result['oauth_uid'].'.php'; $fh = fopen($userFile, 'w') or die("can't open file"); $stringData = "<?php\n" . '$pageowner = "' . $result['oauth_uid'] . '";' . "\n" . 'include "profile.php";' . "\n?>"; fwrite($fh, $stringData); fclose($fh); } $user is the username passed to the function when it's called. Currently that is set to create a line of code in the new profile page ('userid'.php) that looks like this: <?php $pageowner = "100001745088506"; include "profile.php"; ?> I want to add an IF to that page that follows this structu if oauth_provider == facebook { $pageowner = "oauth_uid" } else { $pageowner = username } But I don't know how to write that he $stringData = "<?php\n" . '$pageowner = "' . $result['oauth_uid'] . '";' . "\n" . 'include "profile.php";' . "\n?>"; to make it show up in the page it creates. I want that if statement to be written IN the page that is created. I just don't know the syntax well enough yet to do that. Would somebody help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks! Ok i am stuck, i created a php script that draws data from a mysql dB into a php page. How can I send the page as the body in email? I do not need to preview the page, but can send it without ever viewing if that helps. When I put my code into a variable it does nothing. Is it caching? Should I load the results into mysql then send?please advise.. Hello, This is what I'm trying to-do. I have an index.php file I would like a bit of code that says "If you got here from www.websitea.com (or a link within that site) OR www.websiteb.com" do this : else do this: I'm just not sure how to check where they're coming from. so basically if your on google.ca and you goto the site it will exicute the else part of the code but if your already on sitea or b and you click a link it will not I have tried the following variations but non works if($row['relation'] = "" ){ if($row['relation'] = '' ){ if($row['relation'] = NULL ){ if($row['relation'] IS NULL ){ if(strlen($row['relation']) = 0 ){ So how would one refer to a cell that is empty? Can someoneplease help, I need to setup an error page like IF Username and Password are wrong then show an error also if there is no username or password in the fields and I just click LOGIN, I get a blank page?! Can someone please help me here or point me to a relevant tutorial? thanks here is my page: http://www.retroandvintage.co.uk/default.php here is my code: Code: [Select] <?php session_start(); include_once("config.php"); $ebits = ini_get('error_reporting'); error_reporting($ebits ^ E_NOTICE); /* Login script: This script does the following: Checks that the user is NOT already logged in - if they are they are redirected to the members page by the 'checkLoggedIn()' function. Checks if the login form has been submitted - if so, the 'login' and 'password' fields are checked to ensure they are of the correct format and length. If there are any problems here an error is added to the $messages array and then the script executes the 'doIndex()' function - this function basically outputs the main 'index' page for this script - ie the login form. If there are no problems with the previous step, the 'login' and 'password' field data is passed to the 'checkPass' function to check that an entry exists in the 'users' table for that login/password pair. If nothing is returned from the 'checkPass()' function, an error is added to the $messages array and the 'doIndex()' function is called as above. If a row of data is returned from the 'users' table, the data is passed to the 'cleanMemberSession()' function - which initializes session variables and logs the user in. The user is then forwarded to the members page. If the form hasn't yet been submitted, then the 'doIndex()' function is called and the login page is displayed. */ // Check user not logged in already: checkLoggedIn("no"); // Page title: $title="Member Login Page"; // if $submit variable set, login info submitted: if(isset($_POST["submit"])) { // // Check fields were filled in // // login must be between 4 and 15 chars containing alphanumeric chars only: field_validator("rsUser", $_POST["rsUser"], "alphanumeric", 4, 15); // password must be between 4 and 15 chars - any characters can be used: field_validator("rsPass", $_POST["rsPass"], "string", 4, 15); // if there are $messages, errors were found in validating form data // show the index page (where the messages will be displayed): if($messages){ doIndex(); // note we have to explicity 'exit' from the script, otherwise // the lines below will be processed: exit; } // OK if we got this far the form field data was of the right format; // now check the user/pass pair match those stored in the db: /* If checkPass() is successful (ie the login and password are ok), then $row contains an array of data containing the login name and password of the user. If checkPass() is unsuccessful however, $row will simply contain the value 'false' - and so in that case an error message is stored in the $messages array which will be displayed to the user. */ if( !($row = checkPass($_POST["rsUser"], $_POST["rsPass"])) ) { // login/passwd string not correct, create an error message: $messages[]="Incorrect login/password, try again"; } /* If there are error $messages, errors were found in validating form data above. This consists of just a simple login form for the user to submit their username and password. */ function doIndex() { /* Import the global $messages array. I have created a login system. The login system echoes some text when the username and password is correct. However, if correct i would like it to open another page on my site. Code: [Select] <form name="form1" method="post" action=""> <p>Username <label> <input type="text" name="username" id="username"> </label> Password <label> <input type="password" name="password" id="password"> </label> <input name="login" type="submit" id="login" value="Login"> <?php $username = $_POST ["username"]; $password = $_POST ["password"]; if ($username == "admin" && $password == "password"){ echo"Logged In";} ?> </p> </form> I am a novice and learnt this via youtube. However, can't find a tutorial for what i want. Thanks i have a form with two buttons, one is for submitting the form while button is for generating a random a code and placing it in a textfield. this works fine but the problem is anytime i click on the generate button, it refreshes the page thereby validating the form , which i don't want. How do i make it perform the function without refreshing the page.... I am trying to allow a user to proceed to another page but only after a user has clicked a Facebook like button and a check has been done to check if the currently logged in user has liked the specific Facebook Page. How can I go about this? Thanks in advance This topic has been moved to JavaScript Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=321154.0 i got a submit button... if user click the submit button iwant to page will auto referesh... can someone teach me Hi all I need some help, i have a list of orders on the left column and want to click on each order and display related db information in the right column in a div or other method for each record click. screenshot attached.
I have two pages. one is insert_events.php and the other is veiw_events. In insert_events i have a form which have a submit button. I want when i click on the submit button, it redirects me to the view_events.php page showing the events. Any idea about this problem will be appreciated. Thanks I have two pages one is db.php and another is form.php. In form.php i have created a form which contains different fields and a submit button. But i want to write the queries in db.php. And when i click on the submit button the insert query in db.php should be executed and insert data in database but the focus remains on form.php. How can i do this??? Any Idea? Is there anyway of saving data to phpmyadmin, and linking it to another page with one button. I can do it separately but I can't seem to do it using one button. Does anyone has any ideas! |
