PHP - Date & Time Formatting After Pulled From Database

Good afternoon all!! I have a very specific issue that, in my opinion, is quite complicated. In words, here is what I wish to achieve. I would like a page which displays users from the database. Each individual user has their own Div hidden below their name. Within this div, there is a form. The form is full of radio buttons. Once the user's name is clicked and form submitted, I wish to write the form data to the database for the specific user that was selected. See below example for better understanding:

So as of now, the display is correct. I am seeing exactly what I want to see from my database. Also, my div IDs work just fine as well as the Javascript toggleSlidebox function. The only issue is for some reason, whenever I submit the form (no matter which user I select from my list), I can only write to the last inputted ID. So for example, if the last ID entered into the database was 6, then thats the only ID that will be returned when my form is submitted and the only place data will be written to, even if I select a user with ID 2. Javascript works just fine by the way. Below is the form I have in the HTML of the code.

This is of course wrapped around body tags and all the other necessary HTML. The view of the form is working right, the functions within the form are also working correctly. I just cant seem to separate the variables for each individual user. If I am in Chris Hansen's div, it should be his ID number that is being referenced for the database, not the ID number of the last person entered into the system. Any ideas? Hey guys,
How would I go about subtracting Today from a previous day to find the difference?

For example, I want to subtract TODAY from a previous date in my database, to determine if the difference is greater than 1 day.

Any ideas? I tried doing the subraction in TIMESTAMPS, but when I convert the date back to Y-m-d H:i:s, I got some weird year and time.
 

Hi guys, I'm putting together a small event system where I want the user to add his own date and time into a textfield (I'll probably make this a series of drop-downs/a date picker later).
This is then stored as a timestamp - "0000-00-00 00:00:00" which displays fine until I try to echo it out as a UK date in this format - jS F Y, which just gives today's date but not the inputted date.



Here's the code I have right now:

PHP date and time function is not showing correct time on my local system

I have the following php code

Hi all, I have features on my website which require a time limit untill they can do the thing agian, but at the current mintue ive got the time in seconds. How can I make a function which will give the time in minutes instaid of seconds.

Example:

If it was a 2 mintue waiting time instaid of being 120 Seconds it will be 2min(s) 0sec(s).

Example of my Current Code:


$timewaiting = time() + 160; // Waiting time. (2min)

I am having a problem with PHP displaying the correct date and time. It updates as it should, but is fast by 4min and is always displaying a date in 2004. I ran a basic php script to make sure the application im using itself is not wrong. go to lunenburgledger.com/time.php

Anybody had any ideas on where to check? The system time on the Windows Server 2003 is correct. The only thing I can think of is that it was converted to a virtual machine on vmware esxi, but the system time stayed right. Any ideas?

OK So I've got a datepicker that sends a date in d/m/y format. My DB stores the data in Unix Timestamp Which I can convert the date to with strtotime however this does the exact date & time.

All I want is the actual day. I've spent hours trying to convert this with just the day with mixed results...

Having used unix timestamps in the past formatting the date used to be easy. But since converting to mysql DATETIME im struggling to format it properly. I basically pull the date from the database, convert it using strtotime(), then convert it to a date using date(). The problem is that when i use 'a' to display am/pm the time almost always says am. If the time is 11am then it will display 11am. If it's 12pm then it will display 12pm, but if it comes to 1pm and above it will revert back to 1am.

This is the date string I use:


date('jS M Y g:i a');


is this due to the fact that mysql DATETIME uses 24 hour clock ('H'), if so is there a way around this?

When I do this the result is a date of zeros?

$DateAndTime = date('d-m-y', strtotime($DateAndTime));

All I want is a date in format of DD0MM-YYY and the Time in HH:MM::SS

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.  I have a date in a table which is formatted as:
2010-08-13 00:00:00.

I am trying to change the date through PHP to display as 08-13-2010.  The date is being formatted as 12-31-1969.

Here's my code.

I'm going round in circles with this one, but I have a feeling that the answer is obvious.  I have POST information that I want to use as a date and display it using date format, but I don't know how to

The POST data outputs the following: 2011-9-23

Assuming I have defined $date as the posted data from the previous form, how do I write some code to tell it to output it as September 23, 2011, or just Sept 2011?

... I'm querying my db with this:
      DATE_FORMAT(creation_date, '%M %D %Y')


What if I wanted to echo this:
      23. Oktober, 2011

... that is, to display the date as it would be shown in German?
