PHP - Code To Store The User Data By Creating A Website Using Php N Phpmyadmin
Please Help me on how to create a website using with code n a little bit explanation using PHP n phpmyadmin.
The mainthing that i need to do is using php create a simple site that logs on by connecting it to the phpmyadmin database such that i need to store the user details like name, mobile number, age, loaction, lattitude n longitude in database. Also i need to retrieve the database whenever required!!! Can Any1 please help how to do this...It means a lot to me n i'm a new User n Beginner to learn these things!!! Thank u for reading this Similar TutorialsHi, I'm working on a web application that will interact with an existing website from another company. On the other company's site, there will be a form (using POST) that has my web application as the action element. The user who clicked the submit button will be redirected to my site, where I need to receive the $_POST data from this form to process before redirecting into the web application. I have done work on the other side, using standard form posts to send data to another site, but I've never had to write the code for the receiving end. How do I receive the form data posted from the other website? Can I access the $_POST[''] array as I would with any normal same-site POST transaction? Please let me know if you need additional detail or if my question wasn't clear! I'm fast approaching deadlines and really appreciate your help! Thanks! I have a table leitner_vcard_boxes. Each row represents a flashcard. I want to be able to efficiently sort the cards by the frequency with which the user got them correct. Each row has a column right_count and wrong_count and a percent_correct which I calculate in php as right_count/(right_count+wrong_count) I want to replace the manual calculation with a trigger since I believe that would be more efficient than reading the row, incrementing the right or wrong counter, calculating the new percentage correct and updating the row. The trigger I plan to use is:
CREATE TRIGGER upd_right_percent AFTER UPDATE ON leitner_vcard_boxes FOR EACH ROW BEGIN UPDATE leitner_vcard_boxes SET right_percent=right_count/(right_count+wrong_count); END;My questions a 1. Is the trigger going to give me the desired outcome? 2. If I export the leitner_vcard_boxes table from my development server's phpMyAdmin and replace (import) the table on the test server will the trigger move with it? Do I need to move the trigger separately? 3. How do I list the triggers in the database? Can I see them in phpMyAdmin someplace and I am just missing it? 4. What else should somebody who has not used triggers before consider? what is dificult in creating this tables... CREATE TABLE `pois` ( `id` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL, `lat` float(10,7) NOT NULL, `lon` float(10,7) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) CREATE TABLE `pois_tag` ( `poisid` int(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', `tagname` varchar(45) NOT NULL DEFAULT '', `tagvalue` varchar(255) DEFAULT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`poisid`,`tagname`) )i get back the following error ; MySQL meldet: Dokumentation #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near 'CREATE TABLE `pois_tag` ( `poisid` int(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', `tagname`' at line 8many thanks for any and all help I am trying to simplify my coding work for my website and wanting to make it operate more professionally (as part of my training to better my programming skills, which I know will take a lot of time to do). One of the things I`d like to improve on it is to create tables and fields in my mysql database, but not have to go into phpmyadmin to do it. I know open source programs like Drupal can do this easily so that when you add modules, the user does not have to access the database to set it up. But looking at the codes, I`m unable to figure out how it works. How will I be able to program my code to do something like, I`ll have a form where I enter in what I want the new table to be called, what fields to add in and their specifications, where I could do this by just going into my website as the admin? The PHP code sends me an email from the server, but the user input is empty or "blank". I only receive: "From: \ Email: \ Subject: \ Message: " and that's it. How do I fix my PHP and/or HTML code to receive user input from the form? Attached is my existing HTML and PHP code that doesn't send me any "user input" from the form. Thanks to anyone who can help!!
Hi guys, I would like to seek help on inserting data whenever the switch is on or off to my sensor mySQL database in phpMyAdmin from my control.php. I'm using Raspberry PI as my hardware and follow a few tutorials to create my own Web Control Interface, it works perfectly without insert method. After I implemented insert method to my control.php and execute it, it cannot works and cannot store. Sorry for the caps, but this is relatively time sensitive. I am trying to make a register form, but when I click the submit button, nothing happens. It doesn't add to the table, it doesn't bring me home, doesn't even display the errors if the PWD's don't match or the fields are blank. Here's my code, thanks guys ! PS: The DB name is phptest, and the table is called users. Code: [Select] <?php error_reporting(0); require_once('connector.php'); $errors = array(); if ($_POST["submit"]) { if (empty($_POST['username'])) { array_push($errors, 'You did not submit a username.');} if (empty($_POST['email'])) { array_push($errors, 'You did not submit a email.');} if (empty($_POST['password1'])) { array_push($errors, 'You did not submit a password.');} $old_usn = mysql_query("SELECT id FROM users WHERE name = '".$_POST['username']."' LIMIT 1") or die (mysql_error()); if (mysql_num_rows($old_usn) > 0) { array_push($errors, 'This username is already registered.');} $old_email = mysql_query("SELECT id FROM users WHERE email = '".$_POST['email']."' LIMIT 1") or die (mysql_error()); if (mysql_num_rows($old_email) > 0) { array_push($errors, 'This email is already registered.');} if ($_POST['password1'] != $_POST['password2']) { array_push($errors,'You entered two different passwords');} if(sizeof($errors) == 0) { $username = $_POST['username']; $email = $_POST['email']; $password = sha1 ($_POST['password1']); mysql_query("INSERT INTO users (name, hashed_psw, email, joined) VALUES ('{$username}', '{$password1}', '{$email}', NOW());") or die (mysql_error()); header ('Location: index.php?msg=1'); } } ?> <html> <head> <title>register</title> </head> <body> <?php foreach($errors as $e) { echo $e; echo "<br/>\n"; } ?> <form action="register.php" method="post"> <h4> Username: <br /> <input name="username" type="text" value="" size="10" maxlength="16" /> <br /> <br /> Email: <br /> <input name="email" type="text" value="" size="10" maxlength="100" /> <br /> <br /> Password: <br /> <input name="password1" type="password" value="" size="10" maxlength="16" /> <br /> <br /> Confirm Password: <br /> <input name="password2" type="password" value="" size="10" maxlength="16" /> <br /> <br /> <input name="submit" type="button" value="Register" /> </h4> </form> </body> </html> And heres the connector.php script: Code: [Select] <?php mysql_connect("localhost", "***", "***") or die (mysql_error()); mysql_select_db("phptest") or die (mysql_error()); ?>(yes, the asterisks have the name and pw, just put them just in caseys! Hello, I have a variable called $Price, We are getting it through Mysql Database using While loop. We getting the data from database in ordered by ID. Now then i have requirement to store that data into Low to High form ... Like we are receiving $price lke unordered form .. 50 14 35 25 00 145 52 Here i just want to store it in Low to high form like 00, 14,25,35 ... and so on .. Please suggest me the appropriate code. While($myrow=mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_ASSOC)) { some codes return value $price. // want to store in array } $array($price) // here want to store in Low to high with key value. guys how to add a user agent field to this codes so that one can keep a track wht all user agents crawled? $ip = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; $file_ip = fopen('counter/ip.db', 'rb'); while (!feof($file_ip)) { $line[]=fgets($file_ip,1024); } for ($i=0; $i<(count($line)); $i++) { list($ip_x) = split("\n",$line[$i]); if ($ip == $ip_x) {$found = 1;} } fclose($file_ip); if (!$found) { $file_ip2 = fopen('counter/ip.db', 'ab'); $line = "$ip\n"; fwrite($file_ip2, $line, strlen($line)); $file_count = fopen('counter/count.db', 'rb'); $data = ''; while (!feof($file_count)) { $data .= fread($file_count, 4096); } fclose($file_count); list($today, $yesterday, $total, $date, $days) = split("%", $data); if ($date == date("Y m d")) { $today++; } else { $yesterday = $today; $today = 1; $days++; $date = date("Y m d"); } $total++; $line = "$today%$yesterday%$total%$date%$days"; $file_count2 = fopen('counter/count.db', 'wb'); fwrite($file_count2, $line, strlen($line)); fclose($file_count2); fclose($file_ip2); } HI All, Currently when my users log into my site i store their user level in a session. This allows admins to see more than normal users. I am worried that it would be very easy for someone to amend the session and give themselves admin rights. I am asking for advice on best practice for setting the user level of the logged in user. Where would you suggest i store this information so that only admins see the admin stuff. My navbar has a PHP if test running against $_SESSION['user_level'] and only admins see the admin panal. Unfortunately I have no code for this yet cuz I don;t even know if its possible... I am programming an application that is used by a couple of stores, which could end up being a lot of stores. Anyways, the basis is that the stores would, though a separate application (and therefore separate database) create a username and password, I now want to use this username and password to do the following 1. Allow them to login to my application using the same username and password 2. I want the store the username in a session to pull tables based on the username from my database For instance, a user has the login store123, after loggin in it now pulls the information from the tables store123_items, store123_prices, store123_settings, etc. Now my database will have quite a lot of store###_tables I am, sadly, a noobie to PHP and I do recall seeing an article (somewhere on the net, and I stupidly forgot to bookmark it, knowing I would need it eventually) on how to access multiple databases easily. Now because they are both under my account I can use the same username and password for both, its accessing the MySQL username/password database and storing the info I know I am lacking on how to do it. Any ideas? Hi! So I'm fairly new to PHP, and am currently making a website from scratch including as much PHP functionality as I can for learning purposes. As I have just finished making a blog function, I started to wonder. Is it normal to store every part of a website in a the database? The blog part of the website I just created has of course all the differet blog entries stored in a table in the db, but is it also normal practice to store about, contact etc. in tables too? Or should categories like these be created using brand new .php documents? I am in the progress of making a page controller and thought I should clearify things first, before I go any further. This question may seem stupid, but I don't know alot about what the normal practices of doing things like these in php are. Anyways, hope someone can help me out! Hello everyone, I'm having this problem which is really annoying, tried to solve it but couldn't, I write that code in PHPMyAdmin and it works great, but it doesn't work in the website it self ok long story short, there are three tables, hotels, cities, countries hotels include in addition to hotel info, 2 columns (city_id) and (country_id) Cities include id and name and also countries include id and name what I was trying to do, that when a person inputs a city or country name in the search form, it should get the hotels that exists in this city or country, but unfortunately it shows all the hotels in all cities and countries, although the pagination code for number of pages works just fine, it count the number of hotels in that city or country and show the number of pages correctly so here is the code for both for hotel search Code: [Select] class hotelManager { public function getHotel($where) { $where = isset($_POST['where']) ? $_POST['where'] : ""; $dbObj = new DB(); $sql = "select * from hotels where city_id = (select id from cities where name = '$where' ) or country_id = (select id from countries where name = '$where' )"; $result = MYSQL_QUERY($sql); $arr = array(); echo "<table>"; while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td valign=\"top\" width=\"120px\">"; $rowid = $row['id']; $imageqry=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `hotelphotos` where hotel_id='$rowid' LIMIT 1"); $image=mysql_fetch_array($imageqry); $imagename=$image['attachmentName']; echo "<img src=\"foxmaincms/webroot/files/small/$imagename\"/>"; echo "</td>"; echo "<td valign=\"top\">"; echo "<table> <tr> <td valign=\"top\"> <a href=\"hotels.php?id=".$row['id']."\" class=\"titleslink\">".$row['name']."</a> </td> </tr> <tr> <td class=\"text\" valign=\"top\"> ".$row['location']." </td> </tr> </table>"; echo "</td>"; echo "</tr>"; } echo "</table>"; for hotel pagination Code: [Select] <?php include("includes/hotelsManager.php"); $hotelObj = new hotelManager(); $where = isset($_POST['where']) ? $_POST['where'] : ""; if(isset($_POST['where'])) { $hotelObj -> getHotel($where); $per_page = 9; //Calculating no of pages $sql = "select * from hotels where city_id = (select id from cities where name = '$where' ) or country_id = (select id from countries where name = '$where' )"; $result = MYSQL_QUERY($sql) or die("<br />No Hotels found in this city, please check the city name and try again"); $count = mysql_num_rows($result); $pages = ceil($count/$per_page) ?> <div id="loading" ></div> <div id="maincontent" ></div> <ul id="pagination"> thank you in advance hey der.... m a newbie to php and i dont know if this is the right place for this post. i have a php code and i would like it to be displayed on the browser as well as store it in mysql server in i proper format.... i tried to work with cookies but got the data displayed in array format please help me store it and display it separately i.e., name="XXXX" age="YY".........and so on the code i used in cookies is as follows <?php setcookie("name", $_POST["name"], time()+3600, "/","", 0); setcookie("age", $_POST["age"], time()+3600, "/", "", 0); ?> when i retrieve the cookie data by <?php print_r($_COOKIE)?> i get the output as: Array ( [name] => mohit [age] => 22 ) last but not the least to put the value of the cookie in mysql any help appreciated.... thnx Hey I created a drop box and got a form for that. Now when I click on submit I want the data to be compaired with the data inside the mysql. For example: Subject name = Subject id the drop down list contains subject names. And this should be compaired with the subject id and store the id into a new table called test. <Html> <?php session_start(); include '../Database/connection.php'; ?> <body> <form action="try1.php" method="post"> <?PHP include '../Database/subject_sql.php'; $result=mysql_query($query) or die ("Unable to Make the Query:" . mysql_error() ); echo "<select name=myselect>"; while($row=mysql_fetch_array($result)){ echo "<OPTION VALUE=".$row['Sub_ID'].">".$row['Sub_Name']."</OPTION>"; } echo "</select>"; ?> <input type="submit" value="submit"/> </form> </body> </html> I have a form on our website that a user can fill out for custom product. I want the form data to be 1) stored into a mysql database AND after storing said data, 2) email the same data to our sales department. 1) The form data DOES get stored into mysql database (except for the first two fields, for some weird reason) 2) I added a "mail" section to the php file that stores the data into the database, but it is not working correctly. I have stripped the email portion down to sending just one of the fields in the "message" to make it easier for troubleshooting I have included here, both the form section of the html file, and the formdata.php file that processes the data for your analysis. I am relatively new to php so there are going to be some issues with security, but I can work on those after I get the store & email process to work correctly. Please review my code and see if anyone can be of assistance. I looked through the forums and couldn't find another issue that was the same as mine. If I just overlooked, please tell me the thread post #. When a user logs in, a session is started and he stays connected throughout the whole website until logging out again. The user logs in via his e-mailaddress and a password, which are stored in a mysql database. Now I want to add a page on which a user that is logged in, can see and edit his own information (password, cellphone number, e-mail, etc.). Or easier: instead of showing "Welcome!" showing "Welcome, John!". I thought about storing the e-mailaddress into the session, and then trying to access it to select the correct record (to edit afterwards). But so far, I haven't booked any success. I have to say that this is the first time I'm working with sessions as well, so this is very new to me. Thank you in advance for any help! |
