PHP - Adding Picture Upload To Existing Form.

Hello! I found this code from github. https://github.com/gburtini/Learning-Library-for-PHP and I want to know if its possible to add variables to it and what changes needed to be done to the whole script.
My first guess is the variables are 

$xs

and 

$ys

I want replace them and add two more. The whole code is he

I have passed my midterms project(Online Shopping) with a score of 94 in PHP ( Click here to see file ) ( Sorry if the design is too ugly, I'm just new in programming XD )
Now our finals project will be a PHP site again but now with a database in it.. So instead of making a new project/design for a site, why not just add a database to my existing midterms?
I would like to ask for some help here in helping me on connecting to the database, adding a database/tables and anything that would be of help like suggesting Databases would be like, - Users ( Admin and Members ) - Upper Clothing ( Shirts, Jackets, Long Sleeves, Raglan and etc ) - Lower Clothing ( Pants, Shorts, Boxers and etc ) - Stock on a current item
- Single member's Transaction History - All user's Transaction History   Is there a way that I could add those database named above to my project?

Hi there, I've been trying to implement pagination to an existing script that displays products, but at present only displays next and back buttons.  The number of products is now increasing and we would like to show the number of pages of results but the tutorials I've been going through seem to use a very different way of displaying the results to the script we currently have. Does anyone have any suggestions how I could add pagination to this form.....

Im not much of a coder, and I obviously did this wrong since it is not working. Im trying to bring a new field value in to an existing php file. I created a new table, and an admin page to control that field. I cant, however, figure out how to use that value in a different php file. Actually, there are 2 files. Each using a different field from that new table. I will post what my current code is below with the additions I tried to add. I bolded the lines that contain the tags Im trying to use. Im trying to add some info to an existing cell in a mysql database.

The cell currently reads:                              This is a piece of information.
I would like to update the cell to read:          This is a piece of information. a great piece of info.

I have a variable with the following;             $info = a great piece of info.

Is it possible to add $info to the existing cell via php

eg.

all fine except I dont want to SET the info to $info I simply want to add $info onto the end of the existing data in the info record.

Is this possible and how do i change the above query and go about it?

Hi all, creating a MYSQL, PHP & XHTML site designed to support local rugby clubs. Just putting the final touches to the functionality now so thanks for your help so far.

I would like to provide site administrators with the ability to assign photos to a members profile when initially registering their account, I have no experience of dealing with what presumably will be a function that will upload a photo to a location and then linking it some how to data in the database.

Hi All,

Everything is working pretty good, its just the thumbnail portion that adds a black background to every picture it converts.

When the user uploads a picture, I take the original picture and then make a thumbnail, so I have 2 images in my fileroot.  The original picture looks just fine, its just when I open the thumbnail.

So, I'm learning how to upload pictures into a system from my awesome PHP book. I've looked and looked through the script but I can't figure out whats wrong with it.

Goal:
The script is meant to save a full version of the image in the images folder and a thumbnail in the thumbnail folder.
Bug:
The full image does not appear in any folder, and the thumbnail is created but its put in the images folder.

I've checked the GD library, and everything is supported.

EDIT: sorry - new to posting guidelines - using XAMPP with mysql 5.1.44 (I think this is correct!!)

Newbie question he I have successfully created a form that that displays students (based on a selected lesson/group/date) with the ability to enter scores.

I'm now trying to set the form up so that if data already exists then it is displayed in the form.

Eg: if a member of staff choses group 7AS, lesson 1, 24/09/2010 and another member of staff has entered a score already for one student it shows up in the <select> drop down by using

Firstly thanks for the previous help with the arrays and that... you guys (or girls) ROCK ! 

But now I am stuck... lol.

I am creating a simple motor dealer script for a friend with a garage and a few cars.

The idea is... they fill in the form... upload the image(s) and then it adds it in to the database and displays the info on the page with other cars.

So far I have got it to array all the info in the database how I want (thanks to you lot !).

Now I need to add another box on the add vehicle page to upload photos and then on the show vehicles page I need it to show the uploaded photos next to the vehicles info.

Basically I have a table that has fields of Week, Jersey, Name, Goals, Assists, Points, and Penatly_Min.  Again - excuse the newbie-ness - what I did is have a record for each player for each week.  I already pre-created a record for each player for each week.

I just need a web form that will update these existing records.  I already created one that can add new records but I am having a tough time creating one to update existing ones. 

I'd like to be able to select the week (week 1-10) then select a player and update his stats for that particular week.  Hopefully this makes sense. 

If anyone has some sample code I can look at I'd sure appreciate it.  Really struggling trying to teach myself PHP

I'm trying to make a form that will submit a customers order into my database. The form it self is no problem and posting it to the database that part I can do, but I want this form to find existing posts in my database as the user inputs information.

As an example if I add an ordrer for a customer ordering item numberr "1234" the form will search for item numberr "1234" and print it back to the form before the user submit the form, like "auto finish" the form.  So in other words it will search the database "on the fly" for this item and fill it in.

Could someone point me in the right direction? Somewhere in the PHP manual or maybe a good tutorial on this topic.
