The line numbers may not match up, so I cannot use the line number.

Hi guys,
I'm using this upload/extract zip script. I wonder if I can modify the script to link the file after it is unzip. Now it just unzip and show the content, I want to give the link to that content. Please let me know if this even possible with the code below.

I am working on a web page running a php script to extract from another website water temperatures from around the area.  I have been working on this for about a month, and dont know how to do this.

This is the data I need to obtain:

Fishing is reported to be fair.  Bass are being caught on spinnerbaits, plastic worms and jigs. Some Crappie are being caught on jigs and minnows. Trout are being taken in the tailwater area.

The lake elevation is 633.87 feet above mean sea level.  The water temperature is 58.0 degrees on the surface, 50.0 degrees at 10 feet.  Ensure all required safety equipment is onboard your boat and in workable condition.

I am wanting to do this for a couple of other lakes with the same data format.

Can anyone help?

Does anyone know of a way of extracting/reading images from an excel file using PHP?

This seems great (http://phpexcel.codeplex.com/) but I can't see a way of reading images from excel files.

I'm trying to extract the contents of a zip file to a folder.   I found the ZipArchive class and followed the examples to get it to work for the most part.  But I want to extract the files in the folder inside the zip file but leave the folder out.  So it should extract just the files to my given destination.  I found this on php.net.

If you want to copy one file at a time and remove the folder name that is stored in the ZIP file, so you don't have to create directories from the ZIP itself, then use this snippet (basically collapses the ZIP file into one Folder).

I would like to get some php code that would automatically grab the image and copy this to a directory on mt site and also take the creative commons copyright notice as a string ( which i will then display along side the image when i add it to  my site)

How can i do this through php

I know that the word "copyright" only ever appears once on the page ( as part of the bit im trying to grab) so can i use this somehow to grab the whole string?


Basically im being lazy and would like to automate the process of grabbing the image and copywrite without having to download it to my computer first and reload to my server ( as i will be doing this quite a lot)

Hey folks, I am trying to create a small script that will retrieve content from a site, strip it of everything but human readable words, then remove numbers, single letters, and words that I specify. I have the following code which is live on

My problem is that it is not removing all of the the words I specify, only some... ??
I think i would rather an external word list as well... if anyone can assist me with that.

It is printing out "Can't open file", which I guess means it can't find the file or I've given the wrong path. The file that is executing this code is /install and the file I'm trying to write to is /inc/config.php. I thought .. put you up a directory so if I do .. I will be at the root and then do /inc I will be in inc.

Can someone please guide me on what I'm doing wrong?

Hey Guys. I am trying to write to the file depending on which condition is met. The code works fine on my local machiene but not on my remote server.
  I have also tried to output any error messages to see if it would output anything, and I don't get anyting on my browser. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks

Ok, I know how to write to a file, but what I'm looking for is to check if a line of code exists, and if it is, don't recreate it. It would also be nice to not recreate the file either.
