PHP - Displaying Records Between Specific Dates??

I wrote in here a while ago about updating table rows by selecting rows which end dates is greater than the current day, much like a experation dates with blog posts in a CMS.

I was told to make sure my datatype for the end dates in the database was the datetime format is YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:SS now I have now changed that, but I am still have trouble creating a query that does exactly what I mentioned.

mysql_query("UPDATE ". $db_prefix ."events WHERE end_time >= TIMESTAMP: Auto NOW() SET cat = 1" );

Now what I am trying to is that if the current time is greater than the end date I need the "cat" row changed to 1

I want to pull some records  plus unique key from one mysql table and then use them as questions in a form/questionnaire.

The post form will have six radio buttons  to the right of the fields pulled with the key posted but hidden and will wirte to another table.

I guess this is a templating question- as I've successfully retrieved the table 1 records via a query - I just can't seem to use them in the form. Below is the code I'm using to view table "PCM1"

Hi I have been trying to populate my data from 3 tables and display like this:

                  DATE             $acronym1                        $acronym2
POSTS   1/9/2011          10 (this is no of posts)                  3
POSTS   31/8/2011         20                                                10
and so on. the threads and user table will be similar as well.
 I am not able to populate the distinct dates since the dateline contains time as well. So when I try to print out the just dates(without time) , it prints  with the dates repeated. it prints something like this:
1/9/2011 1
1/9/2011 1
and so on..
How can populate and print the the date and number of posts in the above format. Here is my complete code below:

I making an web app for teachers to assess their students online. The problems I am currently having are on select only one record is displayed and after update no records are displayed in the form even though it was successfully updated.. The program has two files, index.php and process.php. The problems started when got the class name into the query to search and display the class.

The query works but doesn't order by name I would like. I would be grateful if anyone could cast an eye over it and give me some tips.
