how do i make this part of the script delete the folder and contents.

Everythings working fine except when i want to delete a folder. I realise you cant use ftp_delete, coz' that only works for files. But I want to extract the files in the folder inside the zip file but leave the folder out. So it should extract just the files to my given destination. I found this on php.net. I have a php-gallery running locally on my desktop (using xampp), the gallery just shows images from a directory where a webcam saves its pictures in it (the gallery is named "ubergallery" - maybe anyone knows this gallery).
Now i really would like to have following option:
- A Button on the thumbnail called "delete" - when clicking on it, the picture should get replaced with another, predefined, placeholder-picture. I really hope somebody here can help me ! Thank you so much for your time !

0 downloads I have a PHP CRUD application and when i delete a row i need it to delete from the MySQL and the image from the uploads folder as well. I have researched and tried dozens of ways with the unlink option but nothing works. If i take out the unlink from my code it will delete fine from the DB. I am new to coding and PHP so any help would be awesome. The file_path is correct. The uploads is the name of the folder where the image is stored and the $_POST["image"] is the column name in MySQL where the image name is stored. delete.php

I got this script: But it give me error, file_get_contents cannot open stream. I need to add the FTP connection with user/pass paramaters. then look in set http url, to get the file contents(images) and transfer to ftp server location. So I'm back to being a php newbie after not touching the stuff for years....and straight back to being pretty sure I'm just incredibly stupid.
I want to grab the contents of a url onto a string so that I can search the string and use the contents. I think this should work:

But it doesn't. What am I doing wrong, or could there be an issue with my server that means it's not able to perform this maybe? (It's working fine for everything so far)

Hello friends, if i have the following $path = "http://*site*.com"; why can't i write the following $ORGtext= file_get_contents('$path'); it works only if i write $ORGtext= file_get_contents('http://*site*.com'); but i want to put $path instead of the url at file_get_contents is it possible and if yes then how ? thank you |
