PHP - Multiple Users Fwriting At Once?
I am basically done with my entire site. I just realized...what happens if 10 users are trying to fwrite to one file at once? that is how i store my usernames passwords signatures and all that jazz. If users cant all fwrite at once my site is not going to work AT ALL. and I might just have to give up haha. good news or bad news?

I come from a desktop (vb.net) background and have used oridinary text files for my databases. I use file locking to prevent other processes from writing to the same file simultaneously.
Now I am moving over the PHP/MySQL - what precautions should I take to stop a simultaneous processes from writing to a table at the same time.?
Do I need to lock the table before writing to it?
Does MySQL deal with this automatically and just block my process until the table becomes free?
(I am talking about a single table here, not multiple dependant tables - I know that is another issue)

I have code written for image uploading, but it doesn't allow multiple images on a single upload, and doesn't re-size. I am trying to work out how many regular users I have to my site and how long those users tend to be users..
So, I have a table that logs every time a user visits my site and logs in, it stores the date / time as a unix timestamp and it logs their user id.
I started by getting the id's of any user who logs in more than 5 times in a specified period, but now I want to extend that...

I just discovered that I have a major security flaw with my website. Anyone who logs in to the website can easily access other users information as well as delete and edit other users information just by changing the ID variable in the address bar. I have user ID Session started on these pages but still people can do anything they like with other users information just by editing the address bar. For example if your logged in in the address bar of www.mywebsite.com/delete_mystuff.php?id=5 and change the "5" say to a "9" then you will have access to user#9 information. Try to insert a dogname in first input-field (choose "exc") and insert first one - the id is under dogname. In second dogname inputfield you can choose second dog - the id for the first one changes to id of seond one ....
How can i get both for every dog?
Ok I'm trying to insert multiple rows by using a while loop but having problems. At the same time, need to open a new mysql connection while running the insert query, close it then open the previous mysql connection. I managed to insert multiple queries before using a loop, but for this time, the loop does not work? I think it is because I am opening another connection... yh that would make sense actually? If there access is 9 in the database then direct to admin panel if not return them home. Thanks guys Hi guys, im just trying to work out an app in my head and on paper. im just wondering.. when a user registers they can choose an Avatar 100px by 100px jpg, when they upload one would i then grab the file and store all Avatars in a avatar image folder and rename it to something like.. avatar[user_id].jpg and keep them all in the same folder. or would i crate a folder called users, each user gets their own folder with files like avatar.jpg and it finds the [user_id] folder and pulls the avatar out from that, or is there a more prefered method? cheers Hello all, I am trying to learn OOP in PHP so please forgive my ignorance. I seem to be having difficulty inserting data into my database from checkbox items. My database has a column for each each fruit. I would like for each column to be populated with either a one(1) for checked or a zero(0) for not checked. Currently, my attempts have failed. I can either get all checkboxes to insert all zeros or I can get the first column to insert a one(1) while the others as zeros. Is there anybody here that can help me figure out what I am doing wrong and help me to re-work my code so I can get this to work? If anybody can help me using OOP methods that would be fantastic.
