PHP - Problem Submitting Value From Dynamic Option
So, it's me again.

Similar TutorialsHi - I have a form which is populated with values from a DB. This is done by looping through the DB values using a foreach. It works fine. I populate my form with those values. However, I want to be able to amend those values, and then submit the new values back to the DB with 1 single submit button. I don't want a separate submit button for each row of my form. The problem is that because the form is built with a foreach, as the it loops through the variables on each pass of the DB, only the final row of DB are present in the form variables. How does one make it so that the selections (choices) a user selects for dynamic selection boxes remain after the form is posted, which does post back to itself? I've tried JavaScript using the "name" of the selection box as the id but I must be doing something wrong because it's not working..as usual lol. I've just started working for a UK charity whose main activity is supported by a massive website. Stacks of information sheets, 3 distinct forums (each about the size of Freaks here), numerous blogs, events pages, webinars etc. etc. Essentially, it is an on-line free community that serves the needs of a very sizeable percentage of man and womankind. Like many charities it relies on gratis contributions from those with time or money to spare. I don't have either, but I do believe in what they are doing. The problem is that that the site itself has grown or rather mutated to become a huge data repository, built from a number of contributors with different skills sets and ways of doing things. At the back of it lurks a CMS which staff (a limited number) use to update site content. 95% of the site is in PHP, with a host of other ingredients thrown into the pot (Tiny-MCE, Perl, Ajax, Fancybox, html5, flash, blah and blah). The problem is in the CMS when someone tries to enter a date beyond 2014 there is no option to do so - -.i.e. that's as far as the dropdown goes. My php loads, from a MySQL database, a list of names (students in a class) and a drop-down for each student with attendance options. Based on the information in the database, the appropriate attendance option is selected (<option selected></option>). Everything works fine on the initial page load. Next, I want to update the status, so I select a new option from the drop-down list and click submit. The php code updates the database correctly, but the selected option (in HTML) is still the original one. If I change the option to something different and submit again, I get the previously selected option (that I selected the first time) - in essence, the HTML is always one step behind the database. I've attached the snippet of relevant code - again, I know that the code works when the page loads initially and that the database is getting updated correctly. Any help or comments are appreciated. I want to give free members their own subdomain. I want the php files to scan the subdomain to determine which pages to display. So like my index.php would scan the subdomain and show the corresponding user's home page so that if you go to someguy.thisdomain.com, it would really just scan index.php at thisdomain.com and act accordingly.
On the other project, no extra folders were created. I know that subdomains can be created in cpanel and then extra folders would be added and whatnot, but I was able to effectively use subdomains for users without htaccess or any sort of cpanel functions.
The main problem is when I test subdomains. I have php code that just echos "Subdomain is blah" and it works when I go to www.mydomain.com and also just mydomain.com, but when I go to test.mydomain.com, it gives an error as if the domain doesn't exist.

Hello Im trying to work out how i can display 2 sets of dynamic content depending on a link clicked. Im currently using css, html, php & mysql. I have my database set with a unique id for each row of data. Heres what i am trying to get to work. I have links in div1 that pull info depending on different fields and display it in div2 (eg link 'title' will pull down the 'title' field, link 'author' would pull down the 'author' field) the info displayed in div2 is a series of dynamic links that i want to display the content of that row in div3 (eg the link 'title' 'math' would display all content from its row using the unique id) i am able to set up the links (div1) to display content in div2 and the div2 dynamic links to display content in div3. But when ever i click a dynamic div2 link it displays the info in div3(like it should) but div 2 reverts back to default(which it shouldnt). how can i display the div2 dynamic links while displaying div3 content? ive tried using a switch statement and also a form action statment ( if(action == title){display info}; ) is there something i can try to get this to work... i know it can be done using html frames but i want to stay away from frames as they are just crap (well i think they are) any help or advice would be great. cheers P0PZ ps. i hope i have explained what im trying to achieve ok... if i havent just let me know and ill try again.
