PHP - How Do I Get My Variables In My Auto Reply Email Text ?

In my attendance system i want to add email alert using php. I want the system to check the records in my db and send email to everyone that  forgot to clock-in after 7:30AM from Sunday to Thursday. What i need to use for this, ideas?

I need to auto send an email to notify user about their next appointment date.
Anyone know how to do the auto send email coding or it requires any external php class to do so?

I have a database which store my customer data which includes their next appointment date etc and I would like to auto send an email reminder to them.

I have some problem with the script and I'm not sure it's work.
My email script "To", I'm not sure how should I state the recipient email as there might be a few customers which have the same appointment date.

I'm trying to get my php form to send a simple auto responder to the persons email that submitted the form. Something like "Thanks we received your info". I have a reg form, and once the user has been added to the database then it is meant to send them an email with their username and password.

The email works fine, received as it should, however the place where I am trying to echo variables is blank.

How do I send the variables in the email?

How can i embed variables into an email message.
Eg. If i want to add the result of mysql query, would i do somthing similiar to this;
mail( "email@domain.co.uk", "Header","$message $result" ); ?
Obviously this doesn't work.  In fact i get the message from my html form, followed by 'Resource id #2'.
Im learning php at the moment.  If anyone could help me with this, or point me in the right direction this would be great.  Iv'e looked at w3schools but I cant find anything specific like this.

I am new to PHP and would like to know what I am doing incorrectly.  I have designed a login form which contains two variables: the username and the password.

So for the username:

<input type="hidden" name="email" id="email" value="example_username">

And for the password:

<input type="password" name="password" id="password" size="15">

I then created a php script which I want to pass the variables "email" and "password" to the e-mail address:

This should happen through the command:

All I get is a blank email with the subject "Hello".  Why are the email and password variables not being passed to my email by the php script?

I have three text fields ( hosteladmissionnumber,branch & Semester) and three text boxes in a form. When i provide the hostel admission number , the corresponding branch semester must be acquired from the registrationtable in DB and fill it in text boxes. Here goes. I am trying to retrieve info. from mySql database and update 3 textfields. I also have 4 selects on the form that need populating during the running of the program.   Auto Save Plugin for the CKEditor which automatically saves the content (via HTML5 LocalStorage) temporarly (for example when a login session times out). And after the content is saved it can be restored when the editor is reloaded. The auto save plugin for CKEditor does its job the way its described in the quote above.   I was wondering if there is a way to have the web based text editor for my blog, the way the Wordpress text editor is, with an auto save (draft) function?   Is there a web based text editor with such function, which would enable me this?

I have been working on my local machine and haven't had any errors.  I just deployed my site live and I'm getting a database error in my auto-complete text box.  Any help would be much appreciated! I'm thinking there may be an error in my the way I'm naming the mysql connect names, but the fact that database data is being populated is confusing me. Wondering if something is wrong with the code? Thanks for the help in advance!
