PHP - Please Help: Function To Prevent Numbers And @ Signs In Text Field
Hi all, I have a textarea field name brief in my php form. The problem is that users are entering phone numbers and email addresses in this field even though there is dedicated email and phone fields. I want a function to either delete the numbers and emails address automatically on this field or alert the user that numbers are not allowed in this field.

But I am not sure exactly how I would prevent abuse and injects to messed up the page, rather than being contained in the designated area it is meant for. Could some one please help me, I know htmlspecailchars will not work, since some of the code needs to render as html Is it possible to have a text field on my site, and the text that is entered into it, be given to another site that I auto redirect the user to? I would like to be able to use a succession of php preg_match() and preg_replace() functions in one script without having to produce clutter in this match and replace php coding script and without its results showing arrayed forms. The following is a RegExp formula that I'm comfortable with that involves only a replace function. I'm curious what the best way would be to scoot a RegExp match function into a script like this one that is consistent with the same $current .= preg_replace('/a/', 'b', $current); php code that I've shown here et. al. that can be written out on one string. I've seen some php implode() functions, but my concern is that an additional function as such along with preg_mach() functions will cause a lot of deviation in a list of regular regex match and replace functions. What can I do to keep both php match and replace RegExp functions strings typed out in linear concession for the sake of keeping things organized when strictly relating to regex functions and working with them within php and working something like an implode() function into my php script so that match and replace functions can produced organized results outside of having to make use of arrays?

So I have something like this in a common.inc.php file which is include in each page
$db_numbers_args = array(); $db_numbers_args['host'] = "localhost"; $db_numbers_args['user'] = "puser"; $db_numbers_args['pass'] = "nuser"; $db_numbers_args['db'] = "nu_name"; $db_numbers = new db($db_numbers_args,TRUE); From there I can end up making query's like $res = $db_numbers->query($uqs); So that said i'm including another file that contains all functions, when the functions need to do database transactions I always need to put $db_numbers as a paramter to the function and each function I make.. How should I make this better ? I' stuck with writing function for searching replaced numbers and would really appreciate if someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

In pocetni_broj is old number and in glavni_broj is new number. But it can happen that number in glavni_broj is old and I need to search in pocetni_broj to see if there is even newer number and it can happen 5 or 6 times like that.
I need to find all the numbers that are connected, but I'm not getting that. What am I doing wrong?
Hi all. I've seen on facebook and on some other sites where content refreshes without complete page reloads. for example, right after posting a comment to a database, without any discernible page change, the comment appears somewhere on the page. Is it using php vars and some auto refresh function, (how does it, without reloading appear then?) I know that I am not very clear, but I need to know how to achieve this. I was wondering if it were possible to convert text to numbers or some sort of URL friendly link. For example, "Hello there" would be converted to '435342553' or whatever. I want to do this because for example when someone goes to this URL, example.com/435343434, the number/uri string would be decoded and whatever the text was it would be displayed on the site. I was looking at some options for doing this..... hexdec - removes spaces md5 - cannot be decoded? There is the problem of people trying to add a dollar sign before their amount. What is the best way to validate a price amount to be entered into the database.
