PHP - Cms Editing Html In A Textarea Breaks Code?!
hi, I have some HTML to edit in my database, in my back end administration I have it in a textarea but when I go to edit it, it all messes up and lots of '/' area added, see below:

I just want to EXCLUDE a certain product category to be shown in this endpoint ! i hope you can help me achieve this !
OK, about ready to go postal, as I've been wasting inordinate amounts of time trying to resolve this issue! If I create basic HTML echo-ed content, PHP works fine. But if I try to reference any database related syntax, the whole PHP web page breaks! VERY FRUSTRATING. i am currently creating a school portal. there is this page which enables user to create their own website for Computer Education lesson. Every user are able to upload their files and view but the problem is, i need a function for the user to be able to edit it in on the page itself. However, if the user enters paragraphs or any type of line breaks, then the email that is sent shows the "\r\n" characters. I've tried using the nl2br function to no avail. Besides the "\r\n" characters showing, everything else works fine. Hello Im quite confused at what filtering I should use on my data when pulling it from a MySQL database. I don't sanitize my data on input because I am using prepared statements with PHP's PDO Driver which means I don't need to use mysql_real_escape_string() at all. When I pull the data to be displayed i.e. in a HTML Table I use the below function to make it safe for HTML output. public static function htmlSafe($data) { return nl2br(htmlentities($data, ENT_QUOTES)); } However the rules change when Im using a HTML Form to edit the data, and I am unsure what I need to strip out. So i have this CMS that is used by lots of users and generally they do have rights to edit each others article. So now i'm thinking how can i at least warn them that somebody else is already editing it. I'm having a problem with some php code that allows you to edit a text file. No matter what file it loads, it always adds four horizontal tabs and two spaces to the end of the text. I've attached the code to this post. If anyone can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated. Cindy If the html td changes size, the code below should resize the textarea to fit the html td. The code works for old browsers but why is it not working for new browsers?

When I add some text to the front end of the textarea it displays Code: [Select] bla <br/> bla <br/> bla <br/> How can I stop it from showing the html tags?
