Can PHP dynamically change .htaccess files?
Similar TutorialsNot sure if this is the right place for this, but I need to be able to run some PHP code before anything loads up on the server. So I am working on my own PHP framework and I am using this:
php_value auto_prepend_file library/fw.php php_value auto_append_file library/fw.phpTo auto prepend and append file. In that file I have check if instance of core class located in fw.php is defined so it will not prepend and append duplicates. With this I reduced index.php code by these 2 lines // This should be at beggining of index php $fw = Base::getInstance(); // This should be at very end of index.php $fw->run();Is it good or bad way? I'm writing a script that opens a webpage and pulls out the pictures for editing. The problem I'm having is the pictures are protected from hotlinking with htaccess. The script is on a different domain. I know it's possible to do this but after much searching and experimentation I can't work it out. Any ideas? I have around 14 script files for an admin page.
I am looking to block the access to 10 of them with .htaccess, so they can not get called up through the URL with the web browser, by for example guessing the name.

How to set up, so I can have "those" 10 files in there?
Also, when comes to having an admin page and blocking the access to "those" script files is this the proper way to do it?

To start, I have a database with a field called 'fpath' that stores the filepath (root-relative) to uploaded PDF's. In this case, they're scanned personnel files. What I'd like to do is be able to download relevant PDF's based on a generated report... such as all PDF's of a certain category or all PDF's for a certain user. If there's a specific PEAR package or other script out there that you know works well, I can research it on my own.. but each search result is bringing up a different method to do it, which makes me nervous. Thanks! I'm looking for any guidance on how to dynamically create css files. I want users to be able to select colors for fonts/backgrounds, borders, etc. from a form which they will submit and it will create a css file and put it in a certain folder. Can someone point me in the right direction? Hi, I have some files stored in mysql db. I have created a web page which shows the list of tutorials from db. at first i was creating a separate php page for each tutorial, but later i have decided that it would be easier and simpler if i can create one php page and whenever i click the tutorials it will change the content of this page. example: when i click "tut002" from list. it will change the content of tutorials.php . So far I have managed to create an upload process which uploads a picture, updates the database on file location and then tries to upload the db a 2nd time to update the Thumbnails file location (i tried updating the thumbnails location in one go and for some reason this causes failure) But the main problem is that it doesn't upload some files Here is my upload.php

And this does work on most files however it is not working on a 9.9mb png file which is named "test.png" I tested on another 3.3 mb gif file and that failed too? Is it possible to list all files in directories / subdirectories, and then read ALL files in those dirs, and put the content of their file into an array? However the folder contains scripts in it that i use thererfore a redirect away from that folder does not work. can you help? Hello everyone,How can i change the url when I am navigating from one page to another. for example if the existing url is like "www.example.com/product.php?name=xyz&q=service" ,I want to change it to "www.example.com/product/name/xyz/q/service" But I dont want to use .htacces. How can I do it using php functions only? I have the current rule in my htaccess RewriteRule ^catalogue/([a-z0-9-]+)/([a-z0-9-]+).php$ catalogue/item.php?id1=$1&id2=$2 [L] however whenever i type in the browser /catalogue/computers/cases.php and then change the category to a category not in my database it still shows the item.php page but without any data - blank page. How do you redirect this to a 404 or do I just write a script that if no records are found in the database redirect to the main catalogue page? Hi all
