PHP - Mulitple Button With Different Values
Hi Guys,
Here a bit of a stupid question, I have a set of Submit Buttons that need to have different values. This is because I do a If(isset($_POST['VALUE'])). So what I have is buttons that represent a User, when the user clicks the button next to the user name it posts the value back to the page and then loads a new function. Does anyone know if this is possible. Am I able to use the <input name="user[$value]" type="submit" value="View Profile" />. Regards Thomas pARK Similar Tutorials

hi i am trying to create a drop down menu where for example the 1st menu has 2 items and the 2nd menu has 4 items. So when you pick the 1st drop down you get first 2 choices from menu 2 and when you select the 2nd choice in menu 1 you get the other 2 choices from menu 2. so drop down New York would have Queens , Brooklyn etc... <form name="region" onClick="this.form.submit()" default="ny" method="POST"> <select name="dropdown"> <option value="ny">New York</option> <option value="to">Toronto</option> <option value="ln">London</option> <option value="hk">Hong Kong</option> </select> <noscript><input type="submit" value="Submit"></noscript> </form> Hi I am trying to find out the total value of dontations raised per email address but in order to find this information I have to do a few queries in order to find out the email address by using there ID and also need to see what percentage of each donation and which cause this donation went to. Find out donation amount Code: [Select] SELECT wp_supporters_donations.SFMemberNumber, wp_supporters_donations.KickbackAmount FROM supporter_2_cause RIGHT JOIN wp_supporters_donations ON supporter_2_cause.supp_id=wp_supporters_donations.SFMemberNumber GROUP BY wp_supporters_donations.SFMemberNumber Find out percentage here Code: [Select] function getdonationperc($supp_id, $causeid, $ProcessDate){ global $wpdb; $fu=0; $ProcessDate = substr($ProcessDate, 0, 6); //echo $ProcessDate; //echo $supp_id." "; //echo $causeid; $new = $wpdb->get_results("SELECT * FROM dp_log WHERE sid=$supp_id AND cid=$causeid AND date=$ProcessDate AND fp != 'yes' ORDER BY id LIMIT 0, 1"); foreach ($new as $new){ $fu = $new->perc; //echo $fu; } //echo " RESULT11 ".$fu; if($fu=="0" || $fu==NULL){ $newresult = $wpdb->get_results("SELECT * FROM supporter_2_cause WHERE supp_id=$supp_id AND caus_id=$causeid AND deleted!='1' AND fp!='yes' ORDER BY id LIMIT 0, 1"); foreach ($newresult as $newresult){ $fu = $newresult->donation; //echo "wtf"; } //echo $fu; if($newresult == NULL) { $fu="0"; } }else{ //$fu="0"; } //echo $supp_id." - ".$causeid." - ".$ProcessDate." - ".$fu."<br/>"; //echo " RESULT ".$fu; return $fu; } Find out email address attached to each donation Code: [Select] SELECT email FROM supporters WHERE id='SFMemberNumber' Then I need to add all donations up for each email address per each cause and output these / insert into a new table. Hi Forum I have this script below which i thought would update multiple rows in my database, but all it does is refresh and revert back to its original data. Im guessing my problem is in my update script but I cant seem to find where I have gone wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. <?php $host="*****"; $username="*****"; $password="*****"; $db_name="*****"; $tbl_name="*****"; // Connect to server and select databse. $db = new PDO('mysql:host=' . $host . ';dbname=' . $db_name, $username, $password); // If there is an update, process it. if (isset($_POST['submit'], $_POST['pageorder']) && is_array($_POST['pageorder'])) { $stmt = $db->prepare("UPDATE `$tbl_name` SET `pageorder`=:pageorder WHERE id=:id"); $stmt->bindParam(':id', $id, PDO::PARAM_INT); $stmt->bindParam(':pageorder', $pageorder, PDO::PARAM_STR); foreach ($_POST['pageorder'] as $id => $pageorder) { $stmt->execute(); } echo '<h1>Updated the records.</h1>'; } // Print the form. echo '<form action="' . htmlspecialchars($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']) . '" method="post">'; foreach ($db->query("SELECT `id`, `pageorder`, `pagetitle`, `linklabel` FROM `$tbl_name` ORDER BY `pageorder`") as $row) { echo '<input type="text" pageorder="pageorder[' . (int)$row['id'] . ']" value="'. htmlspecialchars($row['pageorder']) . '" />'; echo '<input type="text" pagetitle="pagetitle[' . (int)$row['id'] . ']" value="'. htmlspecialchars($row['pagetitle']) . '" />'; echo '<input type="text" linklabel="linklabel[' . (int)$row['id'] . ']" value="'. htmlspecialchars($row['linklabel']) . '" /><br />'; } echo '<input type="submit" name="submit" value="Update" /></form>'; ?> Hi, I'm trying to query my database using codeigniter's active record class. I have a number of blog posts stored in a table. The query is for a search function, which will pull out all the posts that have certain categories assigned to them. So the 'category' column of the table will have a list of all the categories for that post in no particular order, separated by commas, like so: Politics,History,Sociology.. etc. If a user selects, say, Politics and History, The titles of all the posts that have BOTH these categories should be returned. Right? So, the list of categories queried will be the array $cats. I thought this would work- foreach ($cats as $cat){ $this->db->like('categories',$cat); } By Producing this- $this->db->like('categories','Politics'); $this->db->like('categories','History'); (Which would produce- 'WHERE categories LIKE '%Politics%' AND categories LIKE '%History%') But it doesn't work, it seems to only produce the first statement. The problem I guess is that the column name is the same for each of the chained queries. There doesn't seem to be anything in the CI user guide about this (http://codeigniter.com/user_guide/database/active_record.html) as they seem to assume that each chained statement is going to be for a different column name. Of course it is not possible to use an associative array in one statement as it would have to contain duplicate keys- in this case every key would have to be 'categories'... Does anyone know how I could do this? Thanks! I am having some difficulty with accessing radio button values with PHP code. Please see the attached file

11 downloads i have an rsvp page where the table is populated by guests according to event selected in the drop down list. the rsvp table has 2 columns: guest names and status. status(radio button) is divided into 3: unconfirmed(default status), attending and not attending. user has to choose either one. but i am having trouble saving the status. tia for any help!
this is the saving code:
<?php if(isset($_SESSION['sess_user_id'])) { if(isset($_POST['save-rsvp'])) { require "connection.php"; $name = $_POST['name']; $radio = $_POST['rsvp']; $session = $_SESSION['sess_user_id']; $rsvp = $dbh->prepare("UPDATE guest SET status = ? WHERE guser_id = ? AND guest_name = ?"); $rad = implode("','", $radio); for($i = 0; $i < count($_POST['name']); $i++) { if(trim($_POST['name'][$i]) !== '')// validate this form { $rsvp->bindParam(1, $rad, PDO::PARAM_INT); $rsvp->bindParam(2, $session, PDO::PARAM_INT); $rsvp->bindParam(3, $name[$i], PDO::PARAM_STR); $rsvp->execute(); } } } } ?>which when save doesn't save according to status selected. for example 5 names: noreen, pete, marzuki, nora, mishal noreen unconfirmed pete attending marzuki attending nora attending mishal not attending micah not attending when saved, all is saved as unconfirmed. noreen not attending pete attending marzuki not attending nora attending mishal not attending micah attending when saved, all is saved as not attending. noreen attending pete not attending marzuki attending nora not attending mishal attending micah not attending when saved, all is saved as attending. it seems to save according to first choice. So, i need this. Hello! I am designing a user registration form which has some radio buttons for people to select. I am confused as to how I should store the value selected by the user into the database. Here is my code, just in case. <li id="li_2" > <label class="description" for="element_2">I am a </label> <span> <input id="element_2_1" name="element_2" class="element radio" type="radio" value="1" /> <label class="choice" for="element_2_1">Student</label> <input id="element_2_2" name="element_2" class="element radio" type="radio" value="2" /> <label class="choice" for="element_2_2">Staff</label> <input id="element_2_3" name="element_2" class="element radio" type="radio" value="3" /> <label class="choice" for="element_2_3">Member</label> <input id="element_2_4" name="element_2" class="element radio" type="radio" value="4" /> <label class="choice" for="element_2_4">Other</label> </span> </li> I have a page that contains a List box containing a list of categories taken from a mysql database, 4 iframe elements and 4 submit button (code to follow)
When an item is selected from the List box the onchange event submits the page to jobs.php and loads it into the joblist iframe. Once the iframe is loaded and visible it makes the "Add Job To Category" submit button visible. This all works great
When I click the "Add Job To Category" Submit button it loads Jobnew.php into the jobed iframe this is working but I can not seem to figure out how to pass the selected item from the List box using this submit button
I hope I am clear in my question if not please advise any help is very much appreciated....

I am not that much of a techie so take it easy on me. I am building a survey form for a website to get feedback on the service, and naturally it can fail validation if the email address is misspelled or the security question is answered wrong. Retaining text values was easy and I managed to dig around for some solutions to retain radio button values. The problem is IT ONLY WORKS ON ONE OPTION! I tried everything including coming up with completely separate value names, yet the page still loads with all radio options set to the same shared value (usually of the last radio button question). Here is my code: <?PHP $Excellent_status = 'unchecked'; $VeryGood_status = 'unchecked'; $Satisfactory_status = 'unchecked'; $Weak_status = 'unchecked'; $Horrible_status = 'unchecked'; if (isset($_POST['send'])) { $selected_tk = $_POST['tk']; if ($selected_tk == 'Excellent') { $Excellent_status = 'checked'; } else if ($selected_tk == 'VeryGood') { $VeryGood_status = 'checked'; } else if ($selected_tk == 'Satisfactory') { $Satisfactory_status = 'checked'; } else if ($selected_tk == 'Weak') { $Weak_status = 'checked'; } else if ($selected_tk == 'Horrible') { $Horrible_status = 'checked'; } } $Excellent2_status = 'unchecked'; $VeryGood2_status = 'unchecked'; $Satisfactory2_status = 'unchecked'; $Weak2_status = 'unchecked'; $Horrible2_status = 'unchecked'; if (isset($_POST['send'])) { $selected_ts = $_POST['ts']; if ($selected_ts == 'Excellent') { $Excellent2_status = 'checked'; } else if ($selected_ts == 'VeryGood') { $VeryGood2_status = 'checked'; } else if ($selected_ts == 'Satisfactory') { $Satisfactory2_status = 'checked'; } else if ($selected_ts == 'Weak') { $Weak2_status = 'checked'; } else if ($selected_ts == 'Horrible') { $Horrible2_status = 'checked'; } } ?> <h1 align="center">Feedback Form:</h1> <p align="center">We highly value your input. Basically what I get is that despite choosing different answers for each question, the retention is only of the last option or question, and all the above question choices are set to that choice button. What is wrong? Hi, I have set up 2 php pages page 1 - add_entry2.php In this page I have a invoice table created where I can dynamically add/delete rows. This has a View Bill button which takes me to page 2- add_entry3.php In this page it shows up the rows added in page 1 in read only format, so if the user wants to modify the data that he/she entered then he must Click on <back> that i have provided in the page 2 which will direct him to page 1 Now the problem starts here on click of Back the dynamically added rows dissappear..which is frustrating..I know its something to do with my code..but can anyone help me fix it. One more thing is that i dont want to store the data into DB till the finalise button is clicked on page 2 so that means till page 2 is submitted nothing goes to DB from Page 1. I am able to retain values if I use the code Code: [Select] <form action="add_entry2.php" name="eval_edit" method="post" format="html"> i,e if I submit back to the same page and retrieve values form $_POST but If I use the code Code: [Select] <input type="button" value="Back" onClick="history.go(-1);return true;">to get back to add_entry2.ph it looses all the values. Is there any other way to code the BACK link retaining my $_POST values(Do you think $_SESSION would work in this case?) Dear All Members here is my table data.. (4 Columns/1row in mysql table)

Thank You Edited February 8, 2020 by karthicbabuHi, My company has 240+ locations and as such some users (general managers) cover multiple sites. When I run a query to pull user information, when the user has multiple sites to his or her name, its adds the second / third sites to the next columns, rather than wrapping it inside the same table cell. It also works the opposite way, if a piece of data is missing in the database and is blank, its pull the following columns in. Both cases mess up the table and formatting. I'm extremely new to any kind of programming and maybe this isn't the forum for this question but figured I'd give it a chance since I'm stuck. The HTML/PHP code is below: <table id="datatables-column-search-select-inputs" class="table table-striped" style="width:100%"> <thead> <tr> <th>ID</th> <th>FirstName</th> <th>LastName</th> <th>Username</th> <th>Phone #</th> <th>Location</th> <th>Title</th> <th>Role</th> <th>Actions</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <?php //QUERY TO SELECT ALL USERS FROM DATABASE $query = "SELECT * FROM users"; $select_users = mysqli_query($connection,$query);
// SET VARIABLE TO ARRAY FROM QUERY while($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($select_users)) { $user_id = $row['user_id']; $user_firstname = $row['user_firstname']; $user_lastname = $row['user_lastname']; $username = $row['username']; $user_phone = $row['user_phone']; $user_image = $row['user_image']; $user_title_id = $row['user_title_id']; $user_role_id = $row['user_role_id'];
// POPULATES DATA INTO THE TABLE echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>{$user_id}</td>"; echo "<td>{$user_firstname}</td>"; echo "<td>{$user_lastname}</td>"; echo "<td>{$username}</td>"; echo "<td>{$user_phone}</td>";
//PULL SITE STATUS BASED ON SITE STATUS ID $query = "SELECT * FROM sites WHERE site_manager_id = {$user_id} "; $select_site = mysqli_query($connection, $query); while($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($select_site)) { $site_name = $row['site_name']; echo "<td>{$site_name}</td>"; } echo "<td>{$user_title_id}</td>"; echo "<td>{$user_role_id}</td>"; echo "<td class='table-action'> <a href='#'><i class='align-middle' data-feather='edit-2'></i></a> <a href='#'><i class='align-middle' data-feather='trash'></i></a> </td>"; //echo "<td><a href='users.php?source=edit_user&p_id={$user_id}'>Edit</a></td>"; echo "</tr>"; } ?>

Hi all, Just curious why this works: Code: [Select] while (($data = fgetcsv($handle, 1000, ",")) !== FALSE){ $import="INSERT into $prodtblname ($csvheaders1) values('$data[0]','$data[1]','$data[2]','$data[3]','$data[4]','$data[5]','$data[6]')"; } And this does not: $headdata_1 = "'$data[0]','$data[1]','$data[2]','$data[3]','$data[4]','$data[5]','$data[6]'"; while (($data = fgetcsv($handle, 1000, ",")) !== FALSE){ $import="INSERT into $prodtblname ($csvheaders1) values($headdata_1)"; }it puts $data[#'s] in the database fields instead of the actual data that '$data[0]','$data[1]'... relates to. I wrote a script to create the values in $headdata_1 based on the number of headers in $csvheaders1 but can't seem to get it working in the sql statement. Thanks Hi all, I'm a first time poster here and I would really appreciate some guidance with my latest php challenge! I've spent the entire day googling and reading and to be honest I think I'm really over my head and need the assistance of someone experienced to advise the best way to go! I have a multi dimensional array that looks like (see below); the array is created by CodeIgniter's database library (the rows returned from a select query) but I think this is a generic PHP question as opposed to having anything to do with CI because it related to working with arrays. I'm wondering how I might go about searching the array below for the key problem_id and a value equal to a variable which I would provide. Then, when it finds an array with a the matching key and variable, it outputs the other values in that part of the array too. For example, using the sample data below. How would you recommend that I search the array for all the arrays that have the key problem_id and the value 3 and then have it output the value of the key problem_update_date and the value of the key problem_update_text. Then keep searching to find the next occurrence? Thanks in advance, as above, I've been searching really hard for the answer and believe i'm over my head! I thought it would be as easy as copying and pasting the text to create a second button but that kills the entire page. Any suggestions on how I might do this?
