PHP - Put Sql Columns In Array
Hey guys, I have made an array where only the name shows up, but I want the price next to it. I adapted the query, but how do I need to adapt the array? peace
Code: [Select] <?php // connect to your database $DrinkArray=array() ; $DrinkResult=mysql_query("SELECT name, price FROM products")or die(mysql_error()); while($DrinkRow=mysql_fetch_assoc($DrinkResult)){ $DrinkArray[]=$DrinkRow['name']; } //check your output with something like this foreach($DrinkArray as $value){ echo $value.'<br />'; } ?> Similar TutorialsI'm somewhat new to OOP PHP, and I'm still learning, but basically I want searchcolumns() to set which MySQL columns that it'll search inside but I don't know where to go from what I've already coded. Here's the basic input to be sent to my classes file: $getusers = new database; $getusers->search($_GET['search']); $getusers->searchcolumns('username','account','email'); And to put it simple, I need my $where variable to output this: $where .= "(username LIKE '%$search%' OR account LIKE '%$search%' OR email LIKE '%$search%')"; Except replacing the already set columns with the ones that I assigned in the searchcolumns() array, and then adding an OR string if there's more than 1 column set. Here's the code as I have it at the moment, for obvious reasons, it doesn't work how I want it to: // Search columns function searchcolumns($columns) { $this->column = explode(", ", $columns); } // Search results function search($search) { $search = ($_POST['search']); if (isset($_GET['search']) && strlen($_POST['search']) > 1) { $searchresult = explode(" ", $search); $where = "WHERE"; foreach ($searchresult as $key => $search) { $where .= "($this->column LIKE '%$search%')"; if ($key != (sizeof($searchresult) - 1)) $where .= " AND "; } $this->where = $where; } } Sorry if this has been somewhat confusing to explain, but hopefully someone understands what I'm trying to achieve. i have checkboxes on the database page and if checked they send to the shopping basket i have the items selected to display but like this
Array ( [0] => Imagine DragonsImagine DragonsRockI Bet My LifeKIDinaKORNER1.25Brand new single from the incredible Imagine Dragons )
right now it displays the first column of the array as a header for each foreach loop then i've got the data displayed under each header and it has 4 columns or a number of my choosing with data displayed under the Table Headings. I am trying to make it display 4 or so columns but with the each group having a certain number of grouped table (data/header) in each column. a different amount for each column that i can choose IF Possible i'd like the choice of being able to remove the headers eg. Z when there is no data in them. This is an example of how it is being displayed right now Any Help would be greatly appreciated Quote A Airlie Beach Andergrove Alexandra Armstrong Beach Alligator Creek B Bucasia Blacks Beach Beaconsfield Bakers Creek Balberra Bloomsbury Breadalbane Ball Bay Belmunda C Cannonvale Calen Crystal Brook Cremorne Chelona Campwin Beach Cape Hillsborough Conway Heres The Code i have so far. Hi, I have a piece of code which I trying to search two columns but I just cant get it to work. Instead it just dumps around 30 entries onto the page. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to search two columns? Code: [Select] $query = "SELECT * FROM questions"; if(isset($_GET['question']) && !empty($_GET['notes'] )) { /*query the database*/ $question = $_GET['question']; $notes = $_GET['notes']; $query .= " WHERE question && notes like '%$question%' LIMIT 0, 10"; } $result = mysql_query($query); while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { $question = $row['question']; $notes = $row['notes']; echo "$question $notes </br>"; } Hello - hope you are all well.
I am creating a website for a family friend who has a shop. See preview of the site in this picture ....

Currently the results are showing in one column. I want to show them in three columns in the format of:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9 etc
But formatted with the picture and then the title and the border.
The current code i have is....

Then on the public page I run a php query to pull that content and display it. But doing this cancels out the css I have been using to split content into two columns. Is there a way to do this in php, or is there a way to circumvent the problem? ( also tried echoing the entire css style along with the query result - that didn't work either) The <p id='container_sub'> is what is split into two columns. I tried it outside of the query, and inside the query around where I echo results. Neither worked. Here's the basic php code, and further down the css that makes two columns: Code: [Select] <?php $pageid = '2'; // Formulate Query // This is the best way to perform an SQL query // For more examples, see mysql_real_escape_string() $query = sprintf("SELECT content FROM tbl_pages WHERE page_id='%s'", mysql_real_escape_string($pageid)); // Perform Query $result = mysql_query($query); // Check result // This shows the actual query sent to MySQL, and the error. Useful for debugging. if (!$result) { $message = 'Invalid query: ' . mysql_error() . "\n"; $message .= 'Whole query: ' . $query; die($message); } // Use result // Attempting to print $result won't allow access to information in the resource // One of the mysql result functions must be used // See also mysql_result(), mysql_fetch_array(), mysql_fetch_row(), etc. while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { echo "<p id='container_sub'>".$row['content']."</p>"; } // Free the resources associated with the result set // This is done automatically at the end of the script mysql_free_result($result); ?> The css.... I have my layout setup to fit 3 columns side by side. Ex: <div class="col"></div> <div class="col"></div> <div class="col"></div> .. with the "col" class having a specific width and float: left. Basically, I want to print out the locations in the column and when a column reaches a certain number of locations, it closes that div and starts a new one and continues printing the rest of the locations. How would I go about making sure that once a column has reached a certain number of locations, it closes the div and starts the new one? Hi all, This application is given me a nightmare. The code fetches root categories and its sub categories from the a database table. The div table have only 2 columns. I want to add 2 extra columns so that I have 4 columns. Code: [Select] $notes = 'ABOUT ME SECTIOn HERE'; $signature = 'SIGNATURE STUFF HERE'; $friends = 'friends INFO HERE'; $middle=array ( "0" => array ( "section" => $notes, "hide" => $display['1'], "left" => "0", "right" => "0", "middle" => "0" ), "1" => array ("section" => $signature, "hide" => $display['2'], "left" => "0", "right" => "0", "middle" => "0" ), "2" => array ("section" => $friends, "hide" => $display['4'], "left" => "0", "right" => "0", "middle" => "0" ), ); $order = array(0,1,2); foreach ($order as $index) { if ($middle[$index]['hide'] != 1) echo '<br>'.$middle[$index]['section']; } Okay, so this code right here works fine, but how would I make the left/right/middle stuff correspond to right side of my table columns, middle or left? Do I need to add another demi array to make 3 in 1? or am I doing it okay with just the multi with the "left" "middle" "right" ? if 0 means false, will change them to 1 if true. I am fetching a data from database which comes out like this EmpID First Name DoJ Supervisor '34698' 'Ian Bobby' '2011-08-09' 'Daniel Lin' '34684' 'Sally Dodd' '2011-08-09' 'James Kirk' '34871' 'Alan Dandy' '2011-08-09' 'Pamela Roy' I want to Transpose it like this EmpID '34698' '34684' '34871' First Name 'Ian Bobby' 'Sally Dodd' 'Alan Dandy' DoJ '2011-08-09' '2011-08-09' '2011-08-09' Supervisor 'Daniel Lin' 'James Kirk' 'Pamela Roy' Please help i have a file called filename.txt with the csv as below Date,cet,predict,16d Wed 02/15 @ 12Z,0.7,3.4,x Wed 02/15 @ 18Z,0.7,3.3,x Thu 02/16 @ 00Z,0.7,3.3,x Thu 02/16 @ 06Z,1.1,3.7,x Thu 02/16 @ 12Z,1.1,3.7,x i would like the date to be replaced by numbers 1,2,3... and to be an array, and also the 2nd value in each row to be an array. the number of rows is not fixed and grows day by day. so the result would be (1,2,3,4,5) and (0.7,0.7,0.7,1.1,1.1). can someone please help? i guessed that some sort of loop is needed to go through row by row, adding values to an array. I have tried the following with no success: Code: [Select] // get data from the file $data = file_get_contents('filename.txt'); // use the newline as a delimiter to get different rows $rows = explode("\n", $data); // go through all the rows starting at the second row // remember that the first row contains the headings for($i = 1; $i < count($rows); $i++){ $temp = explode(',', $rows[$i]); $date = $temp[0]; $cet = $temp[1]; $stack = array($stack); array_push($stack, $cet);} print_r ($stack); |
