PHP - Moved: Calling Info From Mysql Based On A Drag And Dropped Location

http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=352302.0 Similar TutorialsHi all, I have a number of tables within a mysql database and I'm stuck on how to pull information from one based on the results being displayed by another. The site shows items for sale where by all the product information is held in tablea, when an individual item is being displayed I need to be able to pull a manufacturer profile from tableb based on the manufacturer name stored in tablea column profile. The manufacturer name is already being called into the page by existing code as the site has always shown the manufacturer name, I just can't work out out to pull the new profile information in as well from the new table. Any help appreciated Iain This is more of a logic question. I have built a beta version of my site and I am currently working on getting beta V2 out, but I want to implement location based searching of users (particularly with a google api integration). Aside from the API stuff, how do I perform location based searches on the backend. For instance, I have all of my users locations (city, state, country), but how can I say to grab all users by that state when that state is typed in or grab all users by that city when the city is typed in and the same thing for country? Is there anyway to set this up with a default radius too? So if I search for a town, I get a 20 Mile radius result? I really have no idea how to go about the dynamic look up match. Any good tutorials on this? I'm trying to pull results from a database based on where the user is located based upon the variables $usr_lat & $usr_lng, and search for by a radius of x amount of miles/km (need to make it optional). I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for on google so I thought I'd asked here. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a form that emails the content to a recipient. Now I want to direct the email to 6 different recipients based on the county they select. I got it to work with just two counties (cases). But my state has over 60 counties and I will be dividing by about 10 counties each. Is there a way to list 10 counties for each case? This is what I have. Code: [Select] switch ($to) { case 'County1': $to = "Joe@mysite.com"; break; case 'County2': $to = "Bob@mysite"; break; default: $to = "default@default.com"; } I would really appreciate help and I hope my problem can be solved easily. I am attempting to display the date/time based on the user's location. I have installed the timezone.js plugin for help as well. Is there a way to convert the Jquery variable that displays the users timezone location and insert it inside the PHP date_default_timezone_set?
If there is an easier way to display the users timezone date and time please let me know otherwise this was the only solution I could find.
Thanks in advanced...

There is user order form.whenever an user places an order, refid field in reference table will be updated. So the user will be provided with an refid Steps: 1.User needs to log in with a valid user id and pwd 2.Once logged in, there will be search, where the user will input the refid which has been provided to him during the time of order placement. 3.Now User is able to view all the details for any refid 3.Up to this we have completed. Hi, At present the PHP page reads the MySQL data and prints on screen and if the result if 'FREE' it shows a clickable image for the user to book. I am looking for something that allows the user to drag the result they fund to another location with in the table. I.e. user has box 1 filled with their name, they can drag their name to box 9 and it saves it, so they can go back on the it will be their. If anyone knows where I can firn maybe a tutorial, or guide to get started with this, as I have looked and cannot see anything. Cheers. It is slowly coming back to me but not fast enough... I need to copy data from a mysql data base and put it back in unchanged with another date reference. This is a calorie recorder that tracks daily calories - food type, calories, protein, carbs, etc. I simply want to take each entry in that day, then copy it exactly except changing the date recerence. If I could say "copy all entires where date = (date) into DB with new date (date), that would do it. The only thing I can think to do is pull each item out and place it back into the DB with a while statement. There has to be an easier way... If that is my only option, I need to figure out how to create a while statement to handle an array to do the job. Any thoughts? Thanks for the help!! David Hi Im having some trouble implementing info into a database I have a 'user' table and a display users page. How would I display them in alphabetical order by their username? Heres my current basic display page: <?php include 'dbwire.php'; include 'header.php'; $query = mysql_query('SELECT * FROM user'); while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($query)) { echo '<b>Username:</b> ' . $row['user'] . '<br />'; echo '<b>Real Name:</b> ' . $row['name'] . '<br />'; echo '<b>Email:</b> ' . $row['email'] . '<br />'; echo '<b>Location:</b> ' . $row['location'] . '<br /> <hr>'; } ?> Theres also an id row but since user wouldn't be added alphabetically I wouldn't be able to order them by id. |
