PHP - Php Reservation Schedule - Time Range Search - Help!
Hi Folks,
I'm creating an equipment reservation system for a client. Every reservation has an equipmentID, ReservationDate, StartTime, EndTime. So, basically my script searches existing records for a given date and EquipmentID. I'm having trouble with how best to approach validation on new reservations to ensure there are no conflicts. Lets say two existing reservations for a given date/equipment are found. One reservation has a startTime of 8AM and endTime of 9AM. The second has a startTime of 12PM and endTime of 3PM. Is there a simple way to check if the user's submitted values for StartTime and EndTime conflict with existing reservations? Any input would be greatly appreciated! I want to display all rows which are created on todays date and will display from today upto yesterday at 06:00 pm. after that the content will be refreshed based on based on a DATETIME field called 'created' that holds the date and time of each record's creation.
this is my query to fetch rows but it display value after 06:00 pm on yesterday but i want to display all data before 06:00 pm from currentdate. After 06:00 pm data will be refreshed and clear. plz help me......

I can not get the below to work: if(time() < strtotime("11/21/2011 3:30AM EST") && time() > strtotime("11/21/2011 2:30PM EST")) It should be evaluating to true between 3:30 AM and 2:30 PM EST for today. Now that it's past 2:30PM it should be evaluating to false, but it's coming up as true. Edit: Nevermind. Cache/Cookies Issue. Hey guys and gals! Once again, any help given is much appreciated!!! I have an advanced search from that has 20 fields and it works great however I'm having a problem with customising the age range search based on the $birthdate field (YYYY/MM/DD). The user inputs $agefrom and $ageto and then I don't know how to convert the birthdate field to an age to be able to echo only the users in that age range...

It shows the calendar but when you choose the date is like if you didn't choose anything. I mean it shows up but when you click book the next page doesn't pick up the date you selected with the calendar. Hopefully that makes sense and someone can help. I have this scenario - Customer visits site & registers details (name, email etc) on a "registration page" (creating a username & password which goes into your database) - done that Next day, customer visits site and logs in on a "log in page" using the username & password from the previous day which is now stored in your database. Can now make a booking based on this log in. It's probably basic to most of you guys, but I've only been working with php for the past 3 months or so. I'm making a website for some company, and they want a reservation system. I've created everything so far, except for the fact that you can actually double book. Can you guys tell me how to make sure you can't book a reservation when that time is used by another reservation? Preferably even, when making the reservation, the reserved times aren't even chooseable. In my database I have the current info: table: reservations id (PK, UQ, A_I) date (date) starting time (time example: 09:00:00) ending time (time example: 10:00:00) ~Some other random information needed by that company~ Now it doesn't need to come to minutes or seconds, you can only reserve for whole hours, from and untill the hour. I made the script that puts everything in the database and everything, I just need a little script on how to check if the time on the date you selected earlier (it's like a step system, step 1 select date, step 2 select time, step 3 fill in other random info) is already reserved, and to make sure the reserved times don't appear into the dropdown menu for the times. When somebody picks a day then some info is filled up (and is written to database) and slot is decreased. I am not sure how to start for it.. I was thinking to put just a table in DB including the date. In printing dates function, when i print a date I make a query to the table on date field with sql count function in order to return how many reservations i have. What considers me is if I am doing it properly. because if i have about 200 reservations then 200 x 30 days x 12 months = 7200 queries. Of course if there is any similar script with what I am going to do i would be very pleased to hear about coz Im not going to reinvent the wheel. I have a mysql database which I store some jobs I run. I usually use schedule tasks for this but was wondering if I could do this more efficiently in PHP. I have a table with days of the week comma seperated and then a column with a time and then a column with the name of the job. This way it will be maintenance free page just add/delete meetings in the database then go from there. Each meeting name will be a link to an ID corresponding to the unique ID in the database so you click it then read all the info on that meeting. It will be a way for NA members to view the schedule from their mobile phones easily. I have written loops but nothing that would leave out a heading based on lack of a given entry. This xml datafeed is saved on my localhost as an archived copy. Now I would like to automatically access the fresh xml datafeed file from xe.com once a day and replace (or update) the xml file on my localhost to have the updated information (rates).
