PHP - Code According To Page

Hey guys, im new to php and have become stuck with having more than one html form/submit that will relays to another piece of code to view something

At the moment my first form works but once i submit my second form it relays back to the first form how can i prevent this so i can have many submit forms on one php page?

Hey everyone,

So here is my problem. I have some code to display the amount of views that page has got. In this case it is the thread in my forums section. I have used the same code to show how many people have views a certain persons profile page and that works fine but when I use it on my forum thread page I get this error.

Please can someone point me to where I can learn to program the following all one one page?

Here is a screenshot of what I'm after.


Idea being that you put hours and minutes into the top row.  Then hours and minutes into the next row.
Click the button and get the answer at the bottom.

The answer to 1 hour 40 minutes added to 1 hour 40 minutes should obviously be 3 hours 20 minutes.

Here's how I would approach it in another language, but am brand new to php hence the help required.

Make the following variables. 
Hour1
Hour2
Minute1
Minute2
Total_Hours
Total_Minutes
Combined_Time

I would then write something like
Total_minutes = minute1 + Minute2
Total_hours = Hour1 + hour2
combined time = Total_hours * 60 + (Total_Minutes)

Loop here....
while combined_time >60 Total_hours = Total_hours + 1
combined_time = combined time -60
re-do the loop

Now in the boxes at the bottom put
bottom hour box = total hours
bottom minute box = combined_time (remaining minutes)

Hi,   I have the following code which gives a fading out effect when clicking on links. I need to be able to disable it for anchor links so it is disabled when using # as the link.   Any ideas ?

Hi,   The above code is from an XML file and I added the <?xml line of code to the XML file, but doing so causes the whole page to no longer display the track information (just blank). Is there there a way I could modify that text to try and call it another way?   Thanks

i want a code in php to check if user open this page 

I have a snippet of code like this below.  If I have it directly on my page, it works fine.  But if I move this snippet of code into an include file and use "require_once('thefile.php');", the code no longer works properly.  How is that possible? FYI, this snippet is in the middle of a for loop on the regular page.  Maybe you can't use includes when in a loop? I don't know.  Makes no sense that it works when on the page, but not when included using require once.

Any thoughts how this could be possible?  I imagine there is some rule with include files that I'm missing???

Hi Everyone,

I have an ecommerce store that I have done some coding for, and each category has some coding to create pages to display items in that category.  For some reason, I am getting a couple of "ghost" pages on the end of a couple categories.

For example, look at this page:  http://www.autismcommunitystore.com/view.php?category=4

Pages 5 & 6 are blank - page 4 has the last of the items in the category.  I have a table called prods_to_cats which connects the products and the categories (a many to many relationship).

I'm posting the code here - could someone just let me know if they spot something that looks like trouble?

I'm working on a project that creates a profile page for the user (i.e. 'username.php') when they register. Because there are two ways to register, through Facebook and through the website itself, there has to be an if statement in this page that it crates as to which ID to use for that user. Because Facebook usernames are not unique, we must identify a user through their OAuth User ID which is a 10 digit number. When a user registers through the website itself, usernames are unique so their profile page can be ID'd by their username.

Here's the code that creates that profile page:

Well this is a tricky one for me. The script I've created is able to upload images to a server. The server, which I have no control over, generates a random name. It uses Javascript and flash. As a result the links to these images are not within the source code.

I suppose the question is, is there a way to still grab these links? I'm familiar with cURL and I was thinking about using something like (CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION) but I'm wondering if that would just look at the source code for links as well?

I've recoded allot with 3 scripts i had to my disposal. I've fixed 95% and i'm proud allready, but stuck at the following code. It does'nt execute any errors and refreshes the page without uploading the picture to the desired folder. Also folders are'nt created. I've turned on error reporting at level -1, but those errors i fixed.

I have finally gotten my registration form to work on my website but i have another question! When for example someone registers at my website and type in the wrong email address, i've set php to give out an error message like "Please enter a valid email address". But that message shows up at the verry top-left corner of my page and makes some objekts move around on my page and you can't click in the <input> fields anymore . How could i make those error messages show up above my registration form at the top of my site and maybe style them with a border and maybe make the text red and so that it doesnt change anything on my page? could i use css for that somehow or what?
